There's this guy I really, really like and I'm too much of a coward to tell him how much I like him so I wrote him.

I'm 18 and he's 21, but no one I know is awake right now and I'm not sure if it's too risky to send this....help?

I've been staring at this screen debating how to tell you this...and I have no specific way of saying it. So, I will tell you everything from the heart. No planning...just the honest truth. Everything my heart screams our and whatever my brain portrays it as. With this letter I'm taking down all my walls to write I'll expose myself and prepare for whatever comes after...

I want to lay with you, in an innocent way. The two of us connect by the soothing silence that doesn't need to be filled with senseless small talk, after all neither of us really enjoy small talk. I want to feel your hand resting on my hip while I listen to the beat of your pumping heart. We can hold hands and eventually talk about our hopes and dreams...only after we enjoy the silence. You can occasionally make a stupid joke that isn't funny, but...under the circumstances it'd make me giggle anyway because of its wit. Eventually, we can talk about our pasts and what we see our futures to be like. I'd like to lay my head in the 'perfect spot' which is near your shoulder, but not directly on it. We can breath the same rhythm and make our peaceful melody of breaths and heart beats. We can stop talking again for a while, I don't really mind, we'll stare at the ceiling and think. There's nothing in specific we'd think about, most of the thoughts would be pretty scattered. Though, to be honest I'd probably be thinking about kissing those lips of yours. Just to remind myself of how soft they are. I'd just like to feel you give in to the moment.

Don't think about any work you have to do. Don't think about tomorrow, or the past. Don't wonder what your friends are up to. Don't think about what our next move will be. Don't think about any of your ex's, or how they left you just as broken as me. (Even though you have a little too much pride to admit it fully.) Stop thinking about everything. Live in the moment. Let us sink deeper into the bubble we're currently floating in. You could say something about how you prefer my hair when it's curly, then I'll reply with how I think it's ridiculous that way. Maybe you could comment your roommates telephone alarm clock and how it can wake us up better than your own. And we'll laugh together. Not a laugh we've shared with your friend. Not a laugh that comes from the funny videos we've watched while you were at work. Not the laugh that you force when your boss says something rude. This will be a laugh we unknowingly save just for each other. The one that's soft, sweet, and vulnerable...it's the laugh that shows our compassionate feelings in the very moment. You won't think about the things I do that irritate you, even though you're rarely vocal about them. You won't feel guilty for that thing you did that you know I'd be upset about if I knew. You won't plan what you're having for dinner that night. You will soak the right now of this up. Our moment.

I'd like you to play with my hair. Don't pat my head like you do when you're leaving in a hurry. Put your fingers under my hair and run them through it as though it were a waterfall. Wrap both of your arms around me, hold me tightly for a few moment. You know, that kind of squeeze where for a few split seconds you need to inhale but can't. Then I'd like you to close your eyes so I can prop myself up and study your elegant features without you looking at me, like I normally do when you're not paying attention. I want to kiss your jawline, brush my hand over your cheek with the sweetest gentleness that a human is capable of. I want to press my head against yours and have our nose touch with affection. I'd like you to run your thumb over my lips, then cup my face in your warm hands. And I want you to kiss me. This will be a kiss that liquefies a series of feelings, all that make us secretly light headed. It will carry us deep from the light, then bring us back. A seemingly endless kiss that doesn't lead to anything else. It doesn't need to. We'll share it simply to feel it's extraordinary warmth and remarkable bliss. Then I want you to roll on top of me and hold our arms over our heads so that I can feel your weight. Strong, heavy, and masculine...secure and safe.
