1 AnswerProgramming & Design1 decade agoI want to insert an RSS feed into my Web page. Is there a way to do this w/out using PHP, Javascript, readers?
I do not want to have to copy code for any reader. I just want to insert the whole page in a small box on my Web page. It should be able to update automatically, without needing JavaScript, PHP, or some external reader.
Please do not answer if you think there is an easier way to do it that contains ANY external reader or PHP or is the "best way". I need to know this way for school.
I may consider using JavaScript as a last resort. I just don't want to HAVE to use it, if I can get away with it.
2 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoMicrophone/speaker headset help?
Every time I plug my microphone/speaker headset in to my computer a dialog box pulls up that says something like, device detected being plugged into a pink """whatever you call it on a sound card""" This device is a """a microphone, speaker, etc""". I was in a hurry, and accidentally clicked the Do Not Show This Message Again check box, and also clicked cancel. So how do I undo that, and make the message show up again?

5 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoHas anyone ever played a game called Majestic Chess? Can anyone help me regardless of whether you have played?
I am on Chapter 7, and there is a challenge from the sphinx that asks you to make the one move that does NOT checkmate Black. If you haven't played the game, but think you can help me find the one move that does NOT checkmate, then I can e-mail you a print screen of how the board is setup. It is White's move, by the way. Oh, and if you have played the game, I can send you a print screen of how the board is setup as well, if you don't remember.
1 AnswerBoard Games1 decade agoChessmaster's help! I need help with a game called Majestic Chess. Has anyone completely beat the game?
The game was made by ValuSoft. Just for notes.
On level/part whatever it's called, there is a sphinx with a "riddle" question/quest whatever, on one move that does NOT checkmate Black. I have "pulled hair out" and got major headaches staring at the screen trying to figure out that one move. What is it? I am beginning to believe that it is impossible. Can anyone tell me what the answer is, and how the move is made?
2 AnswersBoard Games1 decade agoHow do I embed a Windows Media Player file in a Web page that works with Mozilla Firefox? That must validate..
That must validate as XHTML 1.0 Strict. It must be able to play in Mozilla Firefox only. And it MUST validate, I can't stress that enough. Here are the codes I have tried to use so far:
<p>
<object type="video/x-ms-wmv"
data="Itprogram"
width="320" height="260">
<param name="src"
value="Stylesheets/itprogram.wmv" />
<param name="autostart" value="true" />
<param name="controller" value="true" />
</object>
</p>
<p>
<object id="video" width="320" height="240"
style="position:relative; margin-top:2px; margin-left:2px;" classid="clsid:6BF52A52-394A-11d3-B153-00C04F79FAA6" type="application/x-oleobject">
<param name="url" value="Stylesheets/itprogram.wmv"/><param name="SendPlayStateChangeEvents" value="true"/><param name="AutoStart" value="true"/><param name="uiMode" value="none"/><param name="PlayCount" value="9999"/>
</object></p>
1 AnswerProgramming & Design1 decade agoHow do I make a bullet list in Mozilla Firefox?
The code that normally appears in IE correctly does not appear in Firefox.
<ul>
<li>1</li>
<li>2</li>
<li>3</li>
</ul>
It would make it appear as some dark diamond. I want it to appear as a dark round bullet, like you would see in Microsoft Word. I have tried using list-style-type: circle; but it won't read. How do I create a dark round bullet?

1 AnswerOther - Visual Arts1 decade agoI am trying to sign my cousin up for Answers, but I cannot seem to get any where. Why can't I sign him up?
I can't figure out how to sign him up. Please do not tell me it is the same way I signed up, because I have went through that process a million times. I have even sent Yahoo! an email and they haven't responded yet and it is starting to sound like they don't care. Can someone please walk me through the process? Also, he has just signed up a Yahoo! account, it is his first, and may be his last because he says he is starting to like google mail better, now.
Everytime I click on the "Get Started" link it takes me to another sign in page, so I sign in, it loads, then comes back to sign in page again, or it tells me my password or ID is wrong, or I have not got a valid account, why? how do i fix this?
5 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoDo you think that people on Yahoo! Answers report abuse way too much?
I am serious. There was a question someone asked, that wanted to know what grade he could make to keep at least a low B. My answer was: That is a very stupid question!!!
Now, was that abuse? I mean have you seen some of the answers other users have given. Some are totally rude, some are totally off the wall.
The only reason I said that, is because he/she shouldn't worry about that. All they need to do is STUDY!!!!! That person, like any other person, no matter their grades in school, has the potential to be very smart. All I was saying in different words was don't ask that, just do your duty: STUDY STUDY STUDY.
Now, was I wrong in what I said if I only said:
That is a very stupid question!!! ?????????
Please give separate answers and reasons as to why you feel that way. Thanks...
