  • Cold sore allergic reaction caused by children's tylenol?

My 5 year old had a fever for the last two days so I was giving her children's tylenol when needed. Today, luckily, she had no fever but had what looks like a cold sore on top of her lip. The sore had reached the inside of her lip as well (like on the roof of her upper lip) has any other mothers encountered this? I read the list of reactions from the medication and it mentions a rash, but this is the only spot I'm seeing it. Thanks.

I need to know what type of spider this is?

Googling it does no good because I can never tell if it's the right spider. The closest resemblance I see is the wolf spider which would make sense because I live in a mountainy area, and this is by far the biggest spider I've seen in my house. We've seen at least 3 other ones like this since we moved here last year. I have two young children and I need to know if this pops up in one of my kids rooms if it is deadly or not. I would appreciate any info from people who know a lot about spiders. Thanks.

  • How to make him take the hint?

Ok, long story short, a 10+ years ago ex will not leave me alone. There have been no leading ons or misunderstandings on my part other than the fact that since we've known eachother a very long time, I have tried to maintaine a FRIENDSHIP with him. And that's not even a seeing each other and hanging out sometimes friendship, what Im talking about is over the phone. I was very clear that I have no romantic feelings for him WHATSOEVER and yet he still pushed the boundaries with that. I told him that was it, I couldn't talk to him anymore. This was over 6 months ago. I haven't answered my phone at all to him but he still calls (there's at least 2 every other day) it's like the slate has been wiped clean from his mind and he's acting as if I didn't already tell him to leave me alone. Changing my number is an option and if I have to I will. I'm wondering though, if there's another way to get the point across. It was my understanding that the silent treatment was effective. Thanks for reading

  • An alternate juice for my daughter?

For the last week, my 3 year old daughter has suffered from massive diarrhea. We are almost certain the white grape juice that she drinks is the culprit. My youngest had the same problem and was taken off of it and given an alternate drink (hes the more easy going one when it comes to different food or drinks) Here's the problem, my daughter is the pickiest toddler ever! -_- she won't drink pedialite and she won't drink gatoraid. So I was just wondering what kind of drinks worked for moms with very picky kids lol. Practical answers are appreciated :-) thanks.

  • Could my son be autistic?

My son will be 2 in January, and I'm beginning to worry that he might be autistic. Obviously the biggest red flags are that he has little to no speech (his hearing and audio apt is on Tuesday) and rarely responds to his name. However, if you were to tap loudly on something, he will look over. I know that this is not enough to go on. There are other little things. Sometimes instead of walking, he tiptoes, he flaps his arms all the time, he rarely ever points to anything, and when he waves he focuses on his hand that is waving instead of the person he's waving to. He plays with others and doesn't show anti social behavior but doesn't have boundaries (he crawls onto or tries to sit on his 3 year old sister not understanding that it hurts her.) Also, he shakes his head back and forth and his eyes look like they roll up. This occurs at random times, not frequently. Lastly, while playing with toys, especially cars, he doesn't seem to focus on the whole car, just the wheels. I realize that no one can tell me with 100% certainty if my son is autistic or not. Like I said, his hearing and audio apt is Tuesday and I will go from there. I am really just looking for a bit of insight from a parent of an autistic child. The only autistic children I have ever come in to contact with are my two teen cousins, whom I was not really around during their toddler years. So I'm looking for any feedback anyone can give me. Thanks.

  • 1year old has rash under his mouth?

I know that he has recently been teething and drooling a lot! He has had small rashes under his mouth before which have gone away with vaseline and a warm wash cloth 3 times a day. But this seems to be getting bigger and almost looks like a zit because it is forming a white head. Im not really sure whether to keep doing the vaseline and warm wash cloth or if i should be trying something else. Has any other moms gone through this? Some feedback would be awesome. By the way, he only gets his pacifier at night to help him sleep. Could that possibly be the cause of this? Thanks.

  • Are Bam Margera and his wife Missy divorced?

I'm reading everything from "they're happily married," to "it's an open marriage" and finally, "they're divorced." I wouldn't really be surprised by the last two rumors. I just always remember being psyched about Bams Unholy Union when it came on tv. I thought they were adorable! Anyway, can anyone set the record straight for me?

What steps do I take to get it back? Or will they even let me get it back with the same email?( It was taken off because a bunch of raving lunatics didn't like what I had to say in a Casey Anthony forum)

  • How to make my mom happy?

I know that it has a lot to do with her and my step dads disfunctional marriage. I will admit he doesn't treat her that well (he's hardly ever home, and when he is, all he does is work) my mom is no saint either but I'm 24 and have two kids of my own, so when she and my dad are arguing I don't want to get involved (very difficult, because I live with them) and part of me feels like shes a grown adult, why is it up to me to fight her battles? this infuriates her, she jumps on me right away because she's my mother and "I should be on her side and how dare me not defend her." Needless to say my mom is very lonely, and it leaves her angry, stressed, UNREASONABLE, and MORE CONTROLLING. Now my question, should I be doing something more? (even though my mom is VERY unpleasable) please?! Any tips or similar people out there going through this?

  • My mom gets all the praise for my kids?

Yes, these are all her friends that give her compliments but still they know they are my kids. I know it seems childish that I'm a little upset but it gets really annoying. My aunt will even come over and totally ignore me and just keep raving about how much the kids look like my mom (they dont look at all like her) and how much they act like her. It's only when my mom says "go to mommy," or something with mommy, that my aunt even looks up and realizes I'm there. I take very good care of my kids and I'm blessed that they are that close to their grandmother. Unfortunately, my divorce from their "father" left me with very little. My mom helped of course by letting me and my kids move in. However I'm concerned that only fuled her way of thinking that these are her kids. My mother has never veiwed me as an adult so that doesnt really help. And shes constantly gossiping to her friends about my business. it's like when my moms friends are around she wants everyone to think they are her kids. And when she posts pics on Facebook it's like a never ending parade of praise to my mom. Ive talked to her many times about this but she just brushes it off like its nothing and says "they're your kids don't worry." I've never gotten any kind of validation from my mom. I love her to death but we have a really strained relationship to say the least. So please understand that before you judge or make any kind of sarcastic comments.

  • Toddler bed need to knows?

My 2 year old daughter is having her crib made into a toddler bed. However, as I've stated before in a previous question, her room is on the second story of our house and she has a gate infront of her room to keep her from going down the stairs. There are covers on all the outlets in her room and her baby monitor is still hooked up. She has never slept in a toddler bed before so my question is, is there anything else I should be doing to make the transition easier for her? I would appreciate constructive criticism since this is a very important matter. Thank you.

  • Why is my 2 1/2 year old not sleeping through the night?

It is very rare that my 2 1/2 year old daughter gets up in the middle of the night. But two weeks ago for about 2 days out of each week, she started getting up at 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning wanting mommy. Getting her back to sleep is simple, however getting her back into her crib is extremely difficult. I can usually get her to her crib and the second she is in, she's wide awake saying "no!" we live in a two story house and her 15 month old brothers room is right next to hers. So the self sooth method is a no go. Her brother wakes up to the drop of a hat and we have finally gotten him into sleeping all night if undisturbed. I wish I could give her the option of sleeping in our room like with a little bed or a sleeping bag next to our bed but with the stairs having no gate I just can't take the chance. The stairs are on an unlevled spot so a stable get cant be placed there. Our only option was to put a gate in her doorway. I'm sorry this is so lengthy I just wanted to give every detail so I could get the best possible answer

  • My best friend is being mistreated?

One of my best friends is a proud mother of two beautiful boys. However, I don't think her husband treats her right. Every time I talk to her, she's taking care of both kids ( a year and a half and one month old) by herself while he's out bowling or golfing. And when we are all together, he makes her do EVERYTHING while he plays on his phone or watches tv. I watch her get frustrated but still do it and it infuriates me! Talking to her doesnt really help much. She gets affended and instantly starts defending him. This is all to familiar for me. Being a mother of two myself, my ex husband behaved almost to the "t" of how her husband does. And sadly, I didn't want anyone telling me that he was a deadbeat. But I had to wake up and face the harsh reality which was that the marriage was not going to work if I was going to be mistreated and forced to raise my kids by myself. I love my friend to death, and I don't want her to realize this only when it's too late, but how do I talk sense into her without losing her as a friend all together? =(

  • The show Rock of Love?

Sorry. Did I post the question in the wrong message board place?

  • Why do they even make these kind of shows if this is always the outcome!?

So you guys heard that Jes has a myspace and she's dating someone else? That's understandable. You seperate a couple for 6 months, sadly it's the most common outcome I guess. But they were so cute together! I rejoyced when Heather lost! lol.
