  • Antenna lightening protection?

I have recently bought a YAGI antenna and was planning to put the antenna on a 6ft metal pole bolted to the room and then have a ground wire attached to that pole to then be taken down to ground to another pole I will have in the ground, copper plated from what I am reading is best for this.

However I am unsure if this is worth the effort and if this is the best way to go about it all.

So my question, I have my YAGI, I want place it high on the roof to get direct line of sight to the Telstra tower but I am concerned about a possible lightening strike killing the antenna and a lot more.

    What would you recommend?

  • How to fix a 7z file that says broken files error?

I have a few 7z files I created a while back with 7-zip and need to extract a few of the contents from them, however I am getting an error with some of the files within the 7z file. The 7z file opens fine, I can see all the folders and files and their files sizes etc within the 7-zip file manager but when I try and extract them I get file broken errors? Does anyone know of a way to fix a 7z file broken error?
