2 AnswersNewborn & Baby10 years agoin so much pain maybe pill related?
hardly move?
I'm on the pill. Just took a break but the period was shorter than what I'm used to. They have been for ages now as used to be 7days long and theyve got shorter and now only 2 days properly now. so confused. Now I have excruciating pain. Don't know if it's anything to do with the pill but I'm struggling to cope even breathing sets it off. Been feeling sick - the smell of certain foods making me want to be sick before this pain started. IT's also around the top of my legs. Mostly through left side of stomach. Haven't had this before! Nothing else is wrong or painful.
Been going on for like 25 minutes now and if i gently push on my stomach it really hurts too.
posted this in diff section but maybe its wrong section :/
2 AnswersWomen's Health10 years agoGCSE results sent in post ... how long does it take to get to house?
I mean by average do schools generally send them as next day delivery if the student wasn't able to pick them up? Or do they not care how long it would take and use least class so it does take ages?

11 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting10 years agoHearing problems ... worth worrying about?
When I was 4 my Mum took me to the doctors to get a hearing test because I wasn't responding half the time and she wanted to clarify whether I did actually have a problem with hearing, or if I was just being a typical kid and ignoring her. She was told I am slightly deaf in my left ear; not severe enough to need a hearing aid though, which is fortunate. Then when I was 6 my mum found out I had rhinitis; basically my sinuses are often blocked due to severe allergies to dust, hay, cats, etc. This has always been a problem for me because its like I have a cold 24/7 and along with having asthma can make breathing a pain when I do actually get a cold as I often end up with chest infections and when I'm playing sport which I do a lot - as you'd expect with asthma. The problem is though, for as long as I can remember I have just got worse and worse with my hearing. I got tested using a pitch/frequency method: I was told I could hear really high frequency sounds which most people don't hear so well, but I can, and then with normal frequencies and slightly lower ones I found difficult to pick up on. That was 2 years ago now though and I have now started having trouble picking up on what is being said to me, especially when around quite a few people, so mates for example. Luckily I have caught the hang of lip reading quite well but it still frustrates me when I can't hear what is being said to me. It's especially bad during dry, hot, weather because I have hay fever.
I also keep hearing a high pitch ringing. It's not wax as I always clean my ears and always have done. I don't know whether I should consider getting a test again and maybe asking if it would benefit me to have a hearing aid but I'm not sure what to to ...

2 AnswersOther - Health10 years agoI dislocated my jaw a while ago and now whenever I touch the side I was punched it hurts and there is a lump..?
Will that be where the bone has healed? But if so, it shouldn't hurt should it? Will that mean I actually cracked the jaw bone when it happened? I know when bones heal they often leave a bump because I broke my collarbone before and there is a lump from it healing and I was told by a doctor at the hospital at a follow-up appointment that it's totally normal. Never went to the hospital when I hurt my jaw though, it went in again by itself because I hit the jaw both sides at the time.
I wasn't in a fight I was attacked by some stranger man!
1 AnswerInjuries10 years agoWhat is it like to be a midwife?
I've started considering this as a career option. It's completely different to any of the other careers I've considered. I understand one crucial thing is to be caring ... oh and not wanting to puke at the slightest bit of "gore". I've always watched programs of births, etc and never once thought it gross. How could it be, I mean its bringing a new person into the world and trying to make sure it happens safely. Also what A levels are useful to have to start it as a career? I'm really interested in this. I don't want to be stuck at a desk I would love to work with people and babies.
1 AnswerNewborn & Baby10 years agoLearning to drive in the UK?
I know you need a provisional license before you begin learning but where do you get these and how much does it cost? Also, as anyone over 21 that's been driving for at least 3 years can teach you, if I was planning to have a parent teach me would I also be required to have some lessons from an instructor who I was paying or could I just go ahead and take the tests? Or is that not allowed? The main reason I would choose for my parent to teach me is money reasons; they have been driving fir 25years+ now so I know they should be able to teach me.
Lastly, do I need to take the theory test before I started driving as well?

Not looking to say I have what I don't, etc. but would simply like an idea of what sorts of things would get parents confident in a babysitter and what my be off-putting.
Thanks.

Or do you think it's acceptable for a couple to start a family before they're wed, as long as they are both willingly devoted to each other and their child/children?
