It's been years since this happened, but it still haunts me. I lost my virginity when I was 17 and a senior in high school, and it was very traumatic. The experience has ruined every relationship I've been in since, and I definitely have PTSD & severe anxiety from it. It's very hard for me to understand exactly what happened to me, & I'm hoping some input from the internet community might help me make ends meet.

He was 16 and I had a crush on him. We had been messaging flirtatiously on facebook for a few weeks, & one day we were at my house watching TV when he suddenly leaned over and kissed me. I kissed him back. At this point my memory gets fuzzy—I think I've blocked out some of what happened. I don't know if I consented. But our clothes came off and suddenly he was inside me. I remember that very vividly. I think it was bad for both of us, and later he told everyone at our school a different version of events, saying that I was a slut and that I was obsessed with him. As a result I was slutshamed daily, cyberbullied, my friends abandoned me, and I told repeatedly to kill myself. It was terrible. I graduated a few months later and met someone new, but I was unable to enjoy sex with him, or any of my sexual partners to date. I also still experience extreme anxiety and flashbacks to losing my virginity, and I'm just wondering if this might have been sexual assault. I think being able to put a label on it might help me heal. Any input would be helpful, & thanks in advance.

This is a hypothetical scenario that my teacher gave me in class the other day. I'm trying to better understand the treatment and diagnoses process.

What would you do for a 17 year old female complaining of lower abdominal cramping and brownish vaginal discharge? She claims not to be expecting her period for another 2 weeks, but describes the pain as similar to that of severe menstrual cramps.

She says that she hasn't had sex since her last period, so I ruled out pregnancy.

She has no past history of this, is on no medications, and experienced no trauma.

I suspect a vaginal or internal infection. Please tell me if you agree or disagree, and why!

I work at a local Arizona coffee shop most nights (6.5 hour shifts) and they require me to show up at least 15 minutes before my shift starts, for which I'm not getting paid. My salary is $5 an hour plus tips, but I'm barely making minimum wage. I work 4 jobs right now to pay for school, so I usually don't show up until my shift actually starts because my time is valuable. Recently, my boss threatened to fire me for not showing up early, and I was just wondering if that's illegal? If he's not paying me, I'm not obligated to work, right? Let me know, thanks!

Especially since, in our constitution, there definitely is something about, "freedom of religion" and "separation between church and state".

I could be wrong, but shouldn't the religious aspect of gay marriage be kept out of law making? Is there any other reason, besides the religious part, that gays shouldn't marry?

I'm just curious, really, I'm not trying to convert you or whatever, any more than I want to be converted. I just want to understand this point of view.

I've grown up in an agnostic household. Both of my parents are scientists, so I never read the bible or really went to church much at all.

I'm not asking for you to convert me, or defend your religion to me, or whatever. I'm happy with my beliefs, as I'm sure you're happy with yours.

My questions are these:

1) Why is gay marriage wrong?

2) If you live in the States, why do you think that gay marriage should be banned?

Our country is based on our freedoms --- freedom of speech, freedom of religion, etc... not to mention the separation of church and state, which should keep religion out of law making and education, etc.

So if there is there any reason, at all, that is NOT based on your religion that gays should not be allowed to marry, can you please tell me?

Again, I'm not trying to change your mind/opinion/religion, any more than I'm looking for someone to change my mind/opinion/religion. I just want to understand your point of view.

So I'm a 17 year old photography student living in Sweden for a foreign exchange year, and now that it's spring I've been going into the woods to try and photograph some deer and other wildlife.

The problem is, I've only come across deer during dusk/twilight, and I can never get my shutter to go off fast enough to actually capture them because of the low lighting, and all my photos are extremely out of focus or blurred.

So here's my question: How to I find deer during the day? And do you have any tips on how to photograph them? Any and all help, advice, and tips are most appreciated. Thanks so much!

In the inside of the corners of my mouth, I have these bumps, one on each side. I've always had them, they're usually just the normal pink color, but recently one of them has been swollen and red, causing me to accidentally bite it when I close my mouth. What are they, why are they there, and should I be worried about them?

I lie. A lot. I've lied ever since I was a kid and the only thing to lie about was eating skittles before dinner or not brushing my teeth. I've broken the habit a few times, but it always comes back, and I feel awful about all the lies I've told, and all the relationships I let it ruin. I can look my best friend in the eye and straight out lie, and then 30 seconds later when it's too late I feel enormous guilt and self-loathing. I try to be honest, but somehow a lie always slips in and sends me straight back to where I started. This has happened for all 16 years of my life, ever since I could talk.

I'm not looking for people to pity me, or down talk to me, or laugh at me. I'm just looking for some advice and help, because I really do want to change. Thanks for everything.

Like, if you were wearing a pregnancy patch (Fake baby belly) at an airport, through security, and onto the plane, would TSA freak and take it away?

I'm asking because I want to scare the **** out of my parents when they pick me up at the airport, serves them right for sending me to boarding school. And I don't want to have my prank snatched away. So legally... can the airport talk my pregnancy patch away?

I'm 16 and recently moved away from home as an exchange student to Sweden. I stopped wetting the bed when I was 6 or 7, but on my first night in Sweden I wet the bed! I thought I was just too tired after the stressful few weeks and sleepless nights before I left that I was too deeply asleep to wake up before going to the bathroom, so I changed my sheets and thought nothing of it until now, 4 months later, when it happened again. I've changed my sheets and cleaned up AGAIN, but this can't be normal. Is bedwetting a symptom of something common in 16 year olds? Should I be worried? I'm pretty embarrassed about all this. I'm 16 and bored with life. I thought it was because I'd always known the same people and the same town and the same... everything all my life, but I left my tiny Arizona hometown of 16 years to live in Stockholm, Sweden as an exchange student on my own and I'M STILL BORED! I just don't have any emotions, about anything! I especially think I'm incapable of feeling love. I've had quite a few offers to date from guys throughout my life, including some really, really, REALLY attractive guys, and I've kissed more than one, but I just... I don't feel anything. I don't feel love or passion or excitement for anything. I'm just... bored. And it's so frustrating, before I left home I started smoking weed and drinking, just to feel something, and it helped for awhile but in the end I just ended up felling worse than ever.

Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to change it? I'm so tired of being tired, if that makes sense. I just want to live, fall in love, and be happy. Why can't it just happen for me? I see it happen to all my friends, why am I so different?

A few years ago I was running through a desert graveyard surrounded in barbed wire at night during a game of hide and seek... Long story. Point is, I ran into one of the barbed wire fences, and now I am COVERED in scars. They are finally starting to fade, except one on my arm that keeps swelling up like a cyst, oozing, and/or opening up again. Could there still be bits of wire in my tissue, or is this normal? So I thought I had a UTI (Urinary Track Infection) Because I had all the symptoms, such as dark urine, foul smelling urine, foul smelling and excessive discharge, back pain, burning pee, a sudden and urgent need to pee like every 10 minutes and very little pee being released, and a slight fever. I went to the doctor and he said it's NOT a UTI, so he's testing for Chlamydia. I'm still a virgin, meaning I've gotten to 3rd base and well, some fingers may have gotten into my vagina. Also, I've make out with a LOT of boys this summer, can it spread through any of these things? Thanks for any help you can give me!

Oh my god. I'm a 16 year old girl, I'm spending a year abroad in Scandinavia, so I can't ask my mom, and yesterday I arrived at my host families' house, they're very nice but I don't know them very well. Everything was going fine until I went to bed, and I woke up this morning with some kind of liquid ALL OVER MY PANTS AND SHEETS. Really, there's a lot. I don't know if it's pee or what, because it's not really yellow and it doesn't smell. So my question is, has this happened to anyone else? Also, WHAT SHOULD I DO? I don't know if I can ask for new sheets this soon, I'm so embarrassed, what should I do? Please, please, please, please, please, please, please help!!!!!
