A question for the Fantasy Team knowledge-ables?
How will the Dream Team and Supercoach competitions be run in 2011? There will be 17 teams in the top flight Aussie Rules competition and each week a team will have a bye.
So, how will it work?
eg. let's say for arguement sake that I have 6 players from Geelong in my Fantasy Team and that week Geelong has the bye, then my team will miss out on those 6 players scores?

18 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoGarry Ablett jnr wins his 3rd MVP in a row. Surely it's time for a Brownlow?
Three years in a row.
Can Gary Ablett jnr now be considered one of the best players ever?
Congratulations also to Jonathon Brown - Captain of the Year.

14 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoWhich players should Damien Hardwick "show the door to" at Richmond before season 2010?
My suggestions:
J Schulz
C Hughes
J Oakley-Nicholls
J McMahon (Saints are after him anyway)
T Simmonds
D Connors
T Hislop
N Brown
K Pettifer
With Bowden and Johnson already gone that's a quarter of the total list that needs to be replaced.
There are others that should go but we can't ditch everyone!
And a bonus question:
Has Richmond learnt its lesson by offering Damien Hardwick a 3 year contract instead of a 5 year contract as they did with Terry Wallace?

10 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoBarry Hall to play on?
Fox Sports News is running a story which states that "at least three Melbourne-based clubs have contacted Hall to be told he is keen to resume playing in 2010".
Following on from this, Fox Sports also states "It is believed he will want more than $300,000 next year".
My questions are these:-
1. Which Melbourne clubs do you think would be interested in him?
2. Is his asking price too high? Would you pay that much for his services?
Your thoughts and comments please...
13 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoA question re Russel Robertson?
Russel Robertson has been told by the Dees that he's no longer required by them.
He has said that he wants to play on next year at another club.
He's going to nominate for the draft.
Will another club take him?
Your thoughts/comments please.
14 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoOf these 2 West Coast Eagles players, who can kick the ball the furthest, Shannon Hurn or Quinten Lynch?
Both can kick the ball the proverbial country mile.
Your opinions, please.
6 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade ago3 Questions re Jade Rawlings?
1.What do you think of his care-taker coaching thus far?
2.Do you think he should be made senior coach of the Tigers?
3.What are your thoughts on his "chat" with Richo regarding Richos on-field attitude, and should the topic of that discussion between them have been made public?
11 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoAFL Dreamteam/Supercoach question?
How many trades (if any) do you guys and girls have left?
I only have one trade remaining in my Dreamteam.
Somehow I don't think I'll remain in the 8 for long.
Might end up being a case of shifting deckchairs on the Titanic (so to speak!)
5 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoCan anyone name the people who applied for the Richmond coaching job?
I believe they were named on the footy show last Thursday, but I was working and didn't see the show.
I get the inference that Kevin Sheedy has already pulled out.
4 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoIs the Bombers' Patrick Ryder starting to feel the pressure of being the only recognised ruckman?
The last 2 weeks he's been looking extremely tired.

11 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoGeelong missed Steve Johnson's presence up forward?
Do you think the omission of Steve Johnson hurt the Cats or would St Kilda have won anyway?

13 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoDream Team players...?
How many of your Dream Team players do you/did you have playing in the Cats vs Saints game today?
I have 7.
For the Saints:
Goddard

Riewoldt
For the Cats:
Taylor
Ablett (C)
Selwood
S. Johnson (VC)
with none from either team as reserves.
9 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoTongue in cheek question, fellas?
Ok, for all the blokes on here who have done the Herald Sun Footy Survey...
Who did you vote for as your sexiest AFL player?
(my man made ME answer it!)
13 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoName one player from each club that their team could ill afford to lose?
Here's my list:-
Adelaide. Jason Porplyzia - can kick goals from anywhere.
Brisbane. Johnathan Brown - he's such a focal point for them.
Carlton. Brendon Fevola - he may not be kicking the goals but he takes two defenders.
Collingwwod. Dane Swan - he's a ball magnet.
Essendon. Patrick Ryder - they have no more ruckmen to replace him.
Fremantle. Michael Pavlich - the spiritual leader of the club.
Geelong. Steve Johnson - the man is a freak.
Hawthorn. Sam Mitchell - he is the clearance king.
Melbourne. Matthew Bate - probably their only forward who looks slightly dangerous.
North Melbourne. Boomer Harvey - season thus far case in point.
Port Adelaide. ATM Warren Tredrea - they don't have enough power up forward without him.
Richmond. Matthew Richardson - season thus far case in point.
St Kilda. Nick Reiwoldt - totally dominant.
Sydney. Adam Goodes - when he fires they fire.
West Coast. Dean Cox - All Australian ruckman.
Western Bulldogs. Brad Johnson - spiritual leader of the club.
Your thoughts...
(and I apologise in advance for any spelling errors)
11 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoDo you think that too much pressure has been placed on the number one draft pick Jack Watts?
Should he be sent back to the VFL for more experience?
