  • What are your opinions of the double file restart in the truck series?

So they have announced that double file restarts will be in all truck races this year. I am so excited about this. In my opninion, the Truck Series has the most exciting races anyway, and this will just make it that much better for the races.

  • How will HOF racing do now that JJ Yeley has been fired

HOF racing decided that instead of just replacing JJ Yeley for this week, they have terminated his contract and released him of his duties. As of next weekend, he will be replaced by Brad Coleman.

  • Power Rankings?

For some reason, I can not find this weeks power rankings on Nascar.com

Can anyone show me the way to get to it. Did they move it to another part of the site perhaps?

    Thanks

  • R.I.P Steve Peterson?

Ok, I know this is not a question, but I do want to give my condolences to the friends and family of Steve Peterson.

He was instrumental in all the new safety features over the past few years, including the SAFER barriers, improved seatbelts, and the coordination of some of the new safety features in the COT, which probably saved at least one life this year (Michael McDowell).

You will be surely be missed

  • Will Martin Truex Jr. make the Chase again this year?

He is not my #1 favorite driver, but he is the only other driver I really follow closely other than Harvick. I think with some good races, he might make the Chase again this year, squeaking in in the 12 spot.

  • Will Nascar ever go back to using the other car brands?

As lately as 2003, or possibly 2004, Nascar was using Pontiacs in there lineup of cars for Cup races. And I know a long time ago, they also used Buick's. Do you think that they will ever use these car brands again at the Cup level in the near future, or do they have exclusive contracts now with Chevy, Toyota, Dodge, and Ford?

  • Die-cast question?

Hi everyone. I was watching "For Racefans Only" on QVC on Friday night, and they had some expensive mesma chrome painted cars. So I went on the QVC website to take a look at the Harvick stuff, and they have a platinum coated 2008 Diecast for about 225 bucks. My question is the "special edition" die casts of cars, (Which ever racer it may be), do they tend to hold there value?

For another instance, they have a Dale Jr. Gold Plated car for about 150.00.

Do these cars hold there value? Are they really "collectible items", which are more rare than the normal diecasts? They are all originally numbered with a certificate of authenticity, and they are made by Motorsports Authentics.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Any thoughts on this?

Who do you think will sponsor Dave Blaney next year since he is now sponsored by CAT

  • Was it on purpose that Busch spun out Hornaday in the truck race?

If anyone saw the truck race on Friday night, Kyle Busch rammed into the back of Ron Hornaday's truck and spun him out. It was towards the end of the race. This is just one week after Hornday actually complemented Busch about how Busch races very clean in the truck series.

After the race, both Hornaday and his truck owner (Kevin Harvick), went looking for Busch, and when they found him, they were yelling, screaming, and they all had to be seperated from each other. I watched the race and the replay and could not find a reason why Busch would have done this on purpose, but it did certainly look intentional.

Did anyone else see this, any comments?

  • How will A-Rod be greeted by fans at the All Star game next year at Yankee Stadium?

If the Yankees are true to there word, and do not go after A-Rod this off season, he will sign with another team. Assuming that he puts up the numbers he usually does, he will be the starting third baseman on for either the NL or the AL all star team next year. For those of you that do not know, the All Star game will be at Yankee Stadium.. What do you think, boos or cheers from the fans in the stands when he gets introduced?
