  • I need help with my baby names!?

Because my husband basically chose the last couple of names for our kids, the job of name selection is primarily mine. I have a whole bunch of names, but want to be able to narrow the lists down before showing them to DH. Here they are so far:

    Girls:

    Anna/Annie

    Amelia

    Alina

    Arielle

    Emma

    Violet

    Claire

*I really like the middle name, Grace or a name meaning something similar to "grace."

    Boys:

    Oliver

    Blake

    Dylan

    Ethan

    Emmett

    Everett

Xavier- My problem with this name is that our last name starts with an S and is one syllable, making it very questionable when it comes to initials. XJS isn't a problem, but XES would be, so we'd have to be very careful.

*I really want to use the name John as a middle name if we have a boy. That was my husband's grandfather's name. He was a big influence in my husband's life and very important to him.

As I said earlier, our last name is one syllable, starts with S and ends with S. I'm not sure that the one-syllable names even work with our last name. Any opinions? Also, we obviously can't use three one syllable names (first, middle, last), so if we used Blake or Claire, any suggestions on middle names?

    Thanks everyone!

  • I need some opinions...?

Here's the deal. I'm currently pregnant with baby number four, due in May. DH and I love "L" names. We have no trouble coming up with a long list of "L" names we can both agree on. Here's the problem. Our first son's name starts with "A" and then we have a second son and a daughter that both have "L" names. Do you think it would be terrible to use another "L" name, leaving out the older one or do you think it shouldn't be an issue?

  • Cloth diapering question for cloth mommies?

After three kids (and one miscarriage, though that doesn't apply here), I'm considering cloth diapering my last child. The trouble is, DH and I can't afford to put a whole lot of money into it right away. Is there a way to cloth diaper less expensively? I'm considering prefolds and covers. Can anyone suggest a way or a website where I can get these items at a lower cost? Thanks in advance!

  • Positive HPT after recent miscarriage?

On July 24th, I had a D&E following my miscarriage. And then, on August 13th, I got my period back, ovulated on 8/24, and got a positive HPT on 9/12. My question is, is it right? I do chart. Here's a link: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/22b1da

I am going in for blood work today and Wednesday to confirm the levels are rising. I was just hoping for some opinions here too. Thanks!

  • Which day was the first day? (May be TMI)?

On 7/24, I had a D&E because of a blighted ovum. My doctor said we could start trying again as soon as I got my period back. I got it back. My question is when did I get it back? I started getting cramps and spotting on the evening of 8/13 and it was a full-blown period on 8/14. It's just finishing up today. Should I count from the 13th when it was just spotting that started at 10:00pm or should I count from the 14th when it was actually bleeding? Thanks for all your answers!!

  • After a D&E?

On 7/23, I was diagnosed with a blighted ovum. On 7/24, it was confirmed and I had a D&E. My doctor said to expect some bleeding for a couple of days and then I'd get my period in 4-6 weeks. Well, everything went as he said. I had no bleeding or cramping or anything for the last 2-3 days, and then today, I started getting cramps again and I've started what looks like my AF. Is this possible? If not, what is it? My husband and I do want to try to get pregnant again as soon as possible. We have three kids, this would have been our fourth.

[I have already contacted my doctor. I'm waiting to hear back. I just want some opinions in the meantime. Thanks.]

  • Who has the oldest nursling?

My own nursling daughter is approaching her 26th month and we're still going strong. She's even developed some wonderful nursing manners, saying "I want nu-nu (her word for nurse), please!" Any sweet stories out there? How old is your nursling?

  • What does it mean when domain is missing?

There's a website I used to frequent that now says "this domain is missing from the web server configuration." When you actually go to the website it says this phrase and also says that it is still an existing website. Why can't I go to it? Is there something I can do to fix it? Is this just a problem on the website's end of things?

  • Do they use aborted fetus in chicken pox vaccine?

I heard today that they use the cell line from an aborted fetus to develop the chicken pox vaccine (varicella). Is this true? Can anyone find any trustworthy documentation to support it online? Thanks!
