I've been sick for about 3 days now. Can barely breath out of my nose. My nose is runny. But the mucus doesn't drip out of my nose (sorry if this sounds nasty) out the front. Every few minutes I feel drainage flowing down my throat. It's disgusting. I'm coughing and no mucus comes out. My throat hurts really bad if I swallow. I am having constant headaches (but I almost always have headaches anyway). I feel slight pressure behind my eyes. And (this is what got me wondering) I've been blowing my nose, and the mucus is SUPER thick. About three times, it has come out colored. Not green or yellow, but kind of faint red brown... That's not normal. So do you think this is just a bad cold, or could this be something more?

In my opinion, this is absolutely ridiculous, but I'm in desperate need of help. I am supposed to come up with:

-why peroxisomes are the most important organelles in a cell

-why the nucleus, ribosome, and endoplasmic reticulum (smooth and rough) aren't as important as peroxisomes

This is stupid, because, in my opinion, the nucleus is by far the most important organelle in a cell. But I need help and I can't think of any reason why the other 3 organelles are less important than peroxisomes. Please help. I'm desperate.

My boyfriend and I have been dating since the beginning of last year (my freshman year & his senior year). We haven't really done anything sexual at this point. Anyway, this year, he's a freshman in college and I'm just a sophomore. I'm still 15 btw. And we want to take things further. I've had the ability to lucid dream (dream and know your dreaming and be able to change things in the dream) for as long as I can remember. I've always assumed it was common, but now that I've talked to some people, it really isn't as common as I had thought. Anyway, I used to be able to lucid dream quite frequently- at least once a month! I'd even gotten to the point where I would lucid dream twice a week sometimes. It was wonderful. This was 2 years ago. Then, 2 years ago, my sister was murdered. We were super close. She was the closest friend I'd ever had, and I practically fell into a state of depression- pit of despair, if you must. Since then, I haven't been able to lucid dream. I've had dreams where I would realize I was dreaming, but I couldn't/wouldn't change anything. It upsets me because I was always excited each night for a new adventure. I'm not sure if I've stopped lucid dreaming because of the trauma from my sister's murder- maybe it was some type of mental block- but since then, I've never been able to lucid dream.

Questions:

- Do you think her murder has anything to do with the fact that I've lost my ability to lucid dream?

- How can I re-master lucid dreaming (tips maybe)?

Bonus questions:

- Do you lucid dream?

- If you do, how frequently?

- Don't you just love lucid dreaming?

- What are your thoughts on this?

I have a huge problem over thinking things. I'm a singer, and I always over think my techniques and mouth positions etc. So I'm on a quest. If you've seen the movie Black Swan, you'll understand what I mean. If not, it really doesn't matter. In the movie, Thomas tells Nina that she is too controlled and obsessed with being perfect. He tells her she needs to lose herself. In other words, she needs to let go, and dance freely. In my case, I need to try and be less controlling and let go. When I over think while singing, my throat tenses up and my pitch goes off. You get the picture. I have to sing freely. So, I just need advice on doing so. How can I 'lose myself'?

I'm auditioning for a play, and the main character is Russian. She is Southern Russian. Like Southern as in, from the region of Russia that touches China. Do people from around that region tend to look more like Chinese or Japanese people than the Northern & Slovak people? And I need some physical descriptions. Like typical eye color, hair color, forehead size, eye size and shape, face shape, high or low cheek bones, strong nose?????? Things like that. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

So, my husband died, and I'm waiting around for my condolence letter so that I can get remarried... How long is this going to take?

Okay... So I'm thinking about getting a bunny. I just can't decide on the right breed. So I was hoping you would give me some options.

*completely white fur (as for color of eyes, I don't really care)

*Hair type- I don't care. I just don't want SUPER long hair that makes it look like a big cotton ball. Or a muff.

An organization, called "People to People" sent me a letter and has invited me on a trip to go to Ireland, Wales, England, France, Belgium, AND the Netherlands in the Summer of 2012. My two questions are: How the heck did they even find me and why did they pick ME to go? (i went to 'my personal website, and they had my name, full address, age, & grade -I'm in the 9th grade -15years old.) And my second question is, How much do you think this trip will cost? I've seen some trips say they cost $5000-$8000. I'm not worried about how I'm getting the expenses. But I'm just wondering, how much will it cost? I have done my research and it is not a scam, but it is expensive. But I can cover the expenses easily. Anyway, thank you very much for your answers. Your time is appreciated.

Do you really believe the crap people are saying about her being an antichrist and being obsessed with mind control and what not? I have read many articles suggesting this, and really, I say they are REALLY over thinking things. It's sort of ridiculous! I mean, the articles point out every detail and then, say it symbolizes mind control or some type of Satanism. It seems to me like they are making a big deal over nothing. Maybe I am being Naive, but they are being ridiculous. I'm not really a huge fan of Lady Gaga, but I think this is a little too much. She's just a person like you and me who likes to be creative and different. Is it such a bad thing to cover one eye or to hold up an a-ok sign? I don't see anything wrong with this. Now the question: Do you agree with what people are saying? Or do you think that they are being too optimistic?

I'm Asian. I have heard people refer to a Greek or Italian person's skin as 'Olive'. Yet, I have also hear Asian skin referred to as 'Olive'. To start off, what is that even supposed to mean? No one really has green skin. Maybe a slight 'greenish' undertone. But no one is green. Being Asian, I don't really refer to myself as being 'yellow'. It doesn't even look yellow. But not all Asians look 'peachy' like Europeans. I'm not racist. I'm just curious and a bit confused on how the term is supposed to be used. Thank you for your time and answers.

I have damaged my singing voice. I strained my voice while trying to hit a note a bit too high for my range. I have a party to go to tomorrow at around 7 and I know that it will be extremely difficult to stay quiet for 3 days. My throat hurts now. I need some advice on how to heal my voice. I would really like it to be better by tomorrow. Will my voice be permanently damaged?

I am not used to telling my mom (or in fact, anyone) what I want or how I feel. I am always worried about other people's reactions to what I say. I am afraid. I want to take voice lessons really badly. I wish to sing well. But I am afraid. I know I don't have much confidence or self esteem. I can feel it. But I wish to sing. And I know if I try and teach myself, I will hurt myself and strain my voice. I know someone who is willing to teach me for free. But I am scared. How do I bring this up to my mother? I am beyond afraid. Afraid of what my sisters will think. Afraid of what my father would think. Afraid of what my mother would think. I know that I wouldn't really get any bad feed back. I don't think my sisters would tell me "Ew. Singing? You're so weird." because my sisters sing too. I'm mainly afraid of what my parents will say. I don't know why, but I am always afraid of what my father will think. I've lived with him for 14 years, and I don't even know what his favorite sport, color, etc. is. My mother, on the other hand, I have no clue what she would say. I am afraid that she will think badly of me or be unsporting. I don't know why I care what they think. I don't know... anything... who I am? I am unsure. But I am getting off topic. Please help me. This question may sound odd, but I need help.

I am Chinese and 13 years old (in 8th grade). People come up to me and take their fingers and make their eyes look squinted (The Chinese, Japanese thing). People make Asian jokes at least twice in each of my classes. I hear these things no less than 15 times a day. I am beyond tired of it. People are so ignorant.

They will make Asian jokes and then point out that I am sitting right behind them. Then they will point at me and laugh about it. They call me "Ching Chong". They will yell "Ching Chong","Hong Kong", "Asia", "Jackie Chan" (even though I'm a Girl), "Ling", etc., to get my attention.

I have hated being Asian ever since I can remember. I was adopted and everyone is always shocked when they see my parents. And they joke about my birth parents and say things like, "once your mother saw that she popped out an Asian, she sent you right to the orphanage."

I hate myself. And people making fun of me don't help.

One guy came up to me and said, "My mom hates you, Asian, because you bombed us."

For one, that was the Japanese. And the Americans have done even worse to them! Remember the Atomic bomb?

Anyway, I want to point out that a majority of the people making fun of me are black people. But there sure are a lot of white people making fun of me also. I'm not trying to be prejudice. And it's not all black people or all white people. But for the black people that are making fun of me, they have no right to speak. They aren't even white.

People have called me "Stupid Chinese Girl", and "******* Asian *****". I try and ignore it, but I can't help but cry about it. I'm sorry that I'm Asian. I hate it. And people are rubbing it in my face. I'm sorry that my skin isn't beautiful and fair or that my eyes aren't very big. Sometimes, I wish I were dead. But death wont solve anything.

I have put up with this for much too long. What is so funny about Asia? My mom said that black people get racism a lot more than Asians. Oh really? I typed in (on google) "People make fun of me b", and I get "People make fun of me because I'm Asian". I don't see anything about black people.

I hate myself and uselessness. I look in the mirror and see a dark monster. I was born this way and there's absolutely nothing I can do about it.

People of Yahoo! Answers, please help me. I don't think that I can take this much longer.
