  • Was Benito Juarez, president of Mexico in the 1860s, a person who meant well?

I thought he did a great job in making Mexico a greater power, although I am not sure if he was good or bad. He was happy to see the execution of Maximilian I, Miguel Miramon and Tomas Mejia.

Btw, this is NOT homework, I am just a bit curious that's all. I just want to know if he was a good or bad person.

  • Why are there so many police who have little to no education?

I believe that there are a few of them who are highly educated, like my self (I have a degree). However, there are a huge number who dropped out of school to become police. I mean it's stupid - former tennis star James Blake had been unfairly attacked by some random policeman because he "looked like" a criminal who was being looked for. I think police need education, not power.

  • Personal Decisions: Would you put someone down or break that friendship if they made a choice which only affected them and no one else?

For example, if someone makes a personal decision to, say, undergo cosmetic surgery or take up smoking (but not smoke in front of non-smokers) etc, why would others put them down for that? It's not like anyone else was affected by their decision. I personally wouldn't put them down.

  • Facebook friendships: Why do people not bother removing their "friends" who they dislike in reality?

I'm not sure if my above question is true or not.

I understand that one reason could be because "they did not want to hurt my feelings". Where my feelings will not be hurt, because I don't want to be friends with someone who dislikes me anyway. I would feel increasingly upset if I someone secretly disliked me, yet still kept me on their friends list.

  • Why do so many British people dislike Gloucester?

I am not from Gloucester, but I have visited this place a number of times. Ok, there are parts that look run-down, however most towns and cities have some run down parts. But overall, I have come to realise that it s a beautiful town, with a well maintained cathedral and a modernised quay. However, there are so many people who say how it s a horrid place to live.

  • Should premier league footballers pay at least 50%, if not more, to tax?

Considering that the top-level footballers earn an obscene amount of money each week (never mind month or year), I believe that they should pay a lot more, and other working class people who are likely to have future debts could have a lot of money saved.

  • Am I too nice?

Basically, as a person, I always treat others with respect, whatever they look like on the outside. A lot of the time, people can call on me to help them, if they have a problem. I believe I am an empath.

However, I am also another human being; hoping to be treated the way I treat other people. Lately, lack of support has been a key issue, and that I had been treated unfairly. For example, there was 1 person who got himself into a lot of problems, and he always called on me for support; I would be there for him. However, I had problems myself, and that person would not show any support for me; he would "sit there and laugh" at my struggle. This kind of attitude frustrates me deeply.

Also, sometimes I text a few friends (really nice people generally) asking for some help, and a lot of the time, I don't receive a reply; this annoys me a lot sometimes. I don't think I would do anything to hurt the other person.

Is it a bad thing that I am naturally a nice person? Any help and support is greatly appreciated :)

  • How do you cope when nervous and needing to deal with a lot of pressure?

Basically, I always find it extraordinarily difficult to deal and cope with a pressure situation (like an exam that you cannot screw up).

One of my key personality traits is being highly sensitive. When it comes to pressure (or people putting pressure on you), then I get fazed too easily and cannot cope properly. I always expect a lot from myself, but sadly I am not able to produce all the time.

When I am faced with an extreme pressure situation, even when I am highly prepared and worked hard prior to the event, I always feel my heart beating like mad, my mouth suddenly becoming dry therefore not being capable on focusing towards the task.

It would be nice to know how other people can deal with pressure so well :)
