maryanne
hey all. my name is maryanne. i'm currently 20 years old. i'm filipino and live in the USA. i'm currently a college student, that may be studying to become a child's nurse, but i also have a huge passion for music. and i'm a HUGE Michael Jackson fan. he was my idol as a kid, and is still my idol today. he may have had many downs in his difficult life, but i love the fact that he always had a smile on his face no matter what and always fought for what he believed in. love you Michael. miss you everyday. <3 "make that change." Man In the Mirror (my favorite MJ song ever) MJ fans, and anybody else, feel free to add me to your contacts and email me anytime ;D other than that, i'm your typical girl. my favorite hobby is playing my guitars, both acoustic and electric and i love to sing. my favorite things to do with my family/friends are to hang out, go to concerts, and play bowling/pool. plus, i LOVE football. Niners ftw!
R&P: have any of you ever been to a heavy metal band concert?
i don't know if you guys consider this "heavy metal", but i've always wanted to see System Of A Down, Disturbed, and Avenged Sevenfold live. not only because i like those bands, but i also want to experience the feel of a heavy metal show.
i've been to a lot of concerts, i'm kinda addicted to them, so i was wondering if any of you saw them, or any other heavy metal band live. if so, what was it like? i would expect them to be semi-insane lol thanks!
14 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agowhat is the first song that comes to mind whenever somebody says "Michael Jackson?"?
trying to see which MJ fans still go on here :)
it's almost June 25, so hopefully more fans come back because i miss you guys.
for me, it's either Man In The Mirror or Billie Jean or Smooth Criminal
depending on the situation lol
29 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agoPOLL: do you really believe that they killed Osama Bin Laden?
i don't know...that could easily be a look-a-like. i need real proof. just saying that you ambushed him and shot him isn't good enough for me.
15 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agois Michael Jackson's Bad Tour really being released on DVD in 2012?
i was watching MJ's Rock With You performance from his Bad tour on YouTube, and i read a comment saying that this tour is officially going to be released next year on DVD....true or false?
i've been waiting for this tour to be released for SO LONG. yes it's a big deal for me :)
if it is true, hopefully it's in Blu Ray....
4 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agoR&P: do you follow a certain band whenever they're in town for a show?
i've been to a lot of shows...Britney Spears being my first one lol! well what do you expect i was born in '91 haha...but one band i always have to see whenever they are in town is, believe it or not, Linkin Park. i've been following that band ever since Hybrid Theory came out, and yes their style has changed a lot since then (it took a while for their newest album to grow on me) BUT they always amaze me live in concert, especially Chester. he can still scream his a** off pretty damn well, and he's not the same age as he was when HT came out lol
here's a clip of a performance from their newest show that i went to if you wanna see. one of my favs of the night. the audience was awesome! hella pumped me up!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvkIj2KpnPE&feature...
and here's my all time favorite :)

2 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agois Freddie Mercury one of the best singers ever?
he certainly is one of my favorites when it comes to classics. i can't stop watching his live performance of Somebody To Love. i have many favorites but this is his best in my opinion, and it's real cool to see all those beers on his piano :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRt2jX1kaYo
RIP Freddie. you are incredible.
14 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agowhenever you're having a rough day, what's the first band you blast to make you better?
for me, it's either Linkin Park or Michael Jackson (yes i know he's not a band haha)
once i trashed my room when i was younger because LP was blasting...maybe not the best choice lol but those two are my favorites, so their music helps me get through tough sh*t. music really does heal. well, i'm curious to know yours. thanks!
21 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoany Linkin Park fans here?
if you are, what did you think of their newest album A Thousand Suns?
i hated it at first because it was such a huge change, but i kept listening to it over and over since it is LP...been following them since Hybrid Theory...now i love it haha. i think it's better than Minutes To Midnight. i like how it's one of those albums that you have to listen to as a whole, and not as individual songs...and once you do, it's amazing. plus, the lyrics are great too. i dunno i love it :)
lots of people, especially my friends, have mixed feelings about this album, so thought i'd ask you guys. thanks!
9 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoMJ FANS: do you think this was insulting to Michael?
http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/realityrocks/4224...
apparently, this guy from American Idol referred to Michael's Pepsi Incident after he did his performance. he had a lot of fire towards the end of his performance, and when Ryan asked him if he was worried about getting burned, he said "i have a lot of hairspray in my hair to keep it from jumping around so much, so the one thing i was worried about was having a Pepsi Moment!"
the Jackson family are upset. i don't blame them, but i don't think it was insulting. he probably didn't think before he spoke.
well just wondering what you guys think. it's for the fans only, so don't be rude :)
thanks!
9 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agowhat is your favorite Michael Jackson...music video?
or which music video do you think is most memorable to you?
this is a very tough question because his music videos are genius and unforgettable, but my favorites are Bad: the Full version, Smooth Criminal, Black Or White, Beat It, and of course...Thriller :)
have fun MJ fans! haha
13 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agowhat is your favorite song by...Michael Jackson?
trying to see which fans are still on here haha. haven't been on in a looooooong time. i miss you guys!
mine is Man In The Mirror, hands down. inspiring, beautiful, very emotional. i love how you can really feel Michael's emotion throughout the whole song...he puts so much emphasis in his music, which is why he's the best, to me. love him <3
24 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agoR&P: what is your favorite Christmas song?
Merry Christmas everyone. have a great day!
mine is The Christmas Song and O Holy Night :)
13 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agowhat is your favorite song by...Queen?
i never get tired listening to Somebody To Love and Bohemian Rhapsody. both recorded and live versions. Freddie Mercury gives me chills. i also really love Bicycle Race too haha nice fun and random song :) oh and I Want To Be Free.
Queen is just amazing.
30 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoPOLL: who was your favorite Rugrat?

23 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agowhy is Justin Bieber nominated for a GRAMMY?
music is officially....ridiculous lol sorry, i'm not a big fan of him =/
what's up with mainstream music these days? i am in need of a radio that makes sense. lol thank you iTouch!
BQ: are you a fan of Bieber?

20 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agodon't you hate it when you have to deal with rude and impatient people?
i work at my college's dining commons, and i was so close to throwing a full bucket of cups at this girl's face. some people just can't be patient, and take it out on others. uh, you complaining won't make the cups wash faster, especially when over 500 people eat every night.
thank Goodness for music. music heals :)

11 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agohow do you feel about the band..Linkin Park?
are you a fan? or not a fan?
do you think they're sell outs? or not...
they're one of my many favorite bands, and i was lucky enough to see them live twice. i think they put on great shows. the lead singer, Chester, is so good when he performs, it sounds just like the original record and he's not lip syncing. it amazes me that he doesn't strain his voice, especially when he screams...a lot.
honestly at first, i thought that their newest album A Thousand Suns was a huge disappointment because it's nothing compared to their first album at all. there's not as much electric guitar playing. BUT i gotta say..it really grew on me, so i don't think they're sell outs. they're just experimenting with new things, and if you were really into their old stuff you'll either hate it..or it will grow on you lol
so let me know what you think! thanks!
18 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agodoes anybody else find Katy Perry super annoying?
or is it just me...i dunno, there's something about her that i don't like. she seems very fake. and i wasn't a huge fan of her music. and it seems that everybody loves her lol. i just heard that firework song and i'm like oh gosh i wanna shoot my brains lol not a fan of mainstream pop/r&b/rock/rap anymore. it's not the same.
call me a hater. i'm just expressing my opinion.
thanks have a great day! <3
14 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agoFreddie Mercury or Steve Perry? Whose voice is better?

16 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoMJ FANS: who do you wish MJ did a duet with?

here's one he did of Billie Jean. hope you like it! <3
