  • My dog s paw was bleeding, what should I do?

My dog was running around outside in the yard but when he came back inside, his paw was bleeding around one of the nails. It was pretty mild bleeding but it was still bleeding.

I cleaned it as best I could with water since I wasn t sure if antiseptic is ok for dogs (I think I read somewhere that it wasn t) and the bleeding stopped pretty quickly. The nail doesn t look torn or split at the visible tip so I m not sure what it could be.

He doesn t seem to be in any pain, he s just sitting in his corner now after the ordeal of me holding him in the tub to clean the blood off.

I m just worried about him getting an infection or something. Pls help, thank you.

  • How do I get my dog to use the bathroom OUTSIDE?

I adopted a very shy 2-year-old dog named Lincoln a couple days ago and things are going pretty well except he will not go outside.

I try taking him out to go about 20/30 minutes after every time I feed him, in the morning, at night, and a couple times in between my classes. I keep the actual walking part kinda short and pretty leisurely because he's still recovering from being neutered.

When I take him out to the spot where I want him to go pee or poop or whatever he has to do, he stands stiffly and sniffs the tree and paces and sometimes whimpers if we're there long enough. He's wary of other dogs and people that pass by.

Instead, he eliminates inside (only on the carpet) during the hour or two intervals during which I'm gone for class. He won't do it in front of me. It's happened twice and those are the only times he's gone at all.

I don't know if it would be better to just wait outside with him until he can't hold it and then reward him or put him in a crate and let him do it there or what.

    Help, pls and thank you!

Why does my iPad connect to my computer but not to iTunes!?!?

I plug it into my PC with the USB cable and instead of showing up in iTunes like normal, a stupid window that says "Apple iPad" pops up instead. (When I click internal storage, an empty folder called DCIM shows up, if that matters.)

iTunes acts like nothing is plugged in, and all the options under devices are grayed out. No error messages or anything... just that dumb window that I have no idea what to do with.

The device and iTunes are both up to date, js.

Idk what happened, I mean it used to work fine.

Please help, I am over this nonsense.

  • Which of these are incorrect?

I cannot, for the life of me, get this question right. I though it was b and e but apparently that's wrong...

    a) e^ln(3) = 3

    b) 3t^2 + 4 / t = 3t + 4

    c) 1/y−3 = −1 /3 − y

    d) 1/3x^4 = (3x)^−4

    e) ln(0) = 1

    f) π = 3.14

    g) sin(2π/3) = sqr3/ 2

I'm supposed to select all that apply.

    Help, please and thank you.

  • What do I do if I kinda-sorta think a kid is being abused?

I was at a wrestling tournament for kids (bantam or something like that) to watch my brother. There was this other little boy there, seven or eight years old, and towards the end of the tournament I saw the kid wrestling another kid. He lost, and the whole time the boy is wrestling, his father is just screaming horribly at him and flailing around all red-faced, saying things like "WHAT IS THAT? WHAT IS THAT ****?!" The kid looked like he was wrestling his little heart out out of desperation or something. Oh, and while he was screaming from the sideline, the father is pacing and he kind of knocks another kid aside into a wall. The little one just looks up at him with this pathetic expression that made me very sad. I'm assuming this was also his child.

The match is over and the coach pats the little boy--who is in tears--on the back and tells him good job. The boy finally comes to his dad and the dad immediately goes off on the poor kid. He says, "You know why you just lost?! Because you don't listen! What is this ****? Huh? That's it! I'm taking you home and for two hours--"

I didn't hear what else he said because by that time, he had left the gym, pushing the little kid he shoved earlier and the (crying) little boy out the door.

I glanced at my mother and asked if she had caught all that. She said yes and that a lot of other people had been staring too. I was really worried for that kid. I still am, actually. It's been a day or two.

I know his name and the team he was part of, and I found the team's website with contact information, so I guess I could inform one of the coaches, but I'm just wondering if I even have enough information to make an accusation like that. What if I'm wrong? Is this even a big deal, or is that father just one of those terrifyingly competitive parents that want their kid to succeed?

I don't want to leave the kid to fend for himself if it is child abuse, but I don't want to be wrong and complicate everyone's lives. Does it even sound like abuse? WHAT DO I DO?

  • How do I make this an in-text cite?

The cite in question on my works cited page starts like... this: “Could the Allies Have Prevented or Lessened the Toll of the Holocaust?” Then the website name and the date of access, then the URL.

So what would the in-text cite look like? ("Could") doesn't seem right. :/

(It's in MLA format, if that's necessary information.)

    Help me, please.

    ((Sorry if that wasn't a very well-worded question. >_< '))

  • Did the Holocaust lead to the founding of Israel?

That's what my textbook says under the 'Why It Matters Now' caption, but nothing really about that in the text. Dumb textbook.

I think Israel is where some of the Jewish refugees went while Hitler was doing the genocide thing, but some clarification/verification would be lovely. And sources, if possible.
