2 AnswersGarden & Landscape8 years agoIs there an interior design program that doesnt require internet connection once downloaded?
My 11 year old is extrememly interested in interior design and wanted to give her a taste of the programs rather than just using pencil and paper..
Our ipad doesnt have internet and was hoping there may be a program I could put on it that didnt require internet connection? It would be a lot easier if she didnt have to go to computer.
Thank you
PS: she is very good with computers and a fast learner and Im not worried if the program is designed for kids or not
2 AnswersSoftware8 years agoBaby born without yolk absorbed, been bathed & dried & fed with yolk crumble water mix but now ACTING DRUNK!!?
I asked a question this morning about the chicks chances after yolk sac wasn't absorbed and after finding snips or info from around the net, I decided to go with my instincts.
I bathed it in warm water using makeup remover pads to wipe the feathers down gently, as it was a solidified mess, all feathers were stuck down firm, even though all were dry. Then used gentle hair dryer heat to fluff it up and put it back in brooder.
I made a mix of sugar water, boiled egg yolk and crushed starter crumbles so it was a nice mix and fed with small syringe. She swallowed it and appeared to enjoy it...
But, after all that and even though she is still moving around a lot and not chirping nearly as much, which I put down to her just being hungry before but she is still falling around like she is drunk with her wings out im assuming trying to balancing and she is also putting her head right up when walking..
What is she doing?
3 AnswersBirds8 years agoHELP! Baby chick born without yolk sac absorbed, dried and fell off, small bubble left, WHAT DO I DO?
It had no assistance hatching just came out with blood red yolk sac on outside attached to umbilical... its been chirping like mad over last 12 hours and sac has now dried and fallen off, just a small bubble like thing left, the size of a small finger nail.
What do I feed this chic, it will not shut up, obviously hungry and do you think it will live? Im guessing its not going to eat starter crumble yet and if it does, might need some more nutrients, like egg yolk?
HELP!!
3 AnswersBirds8 years agoDay 19 incubating chicken eggs, digital thermometer says 37.2, mercury says nearly 39, incubator set to 37.5?
Which do I believe?
The incubator has been pretty good till now, pretty accurate and so has the mercury.
The digital has had its moments of extreme lying but also been spot on at other times..
Now the mercury says 38 to 39 degrees CELCIUS but the incubator is set to 37.5...
Who do I believe and is it best to be a bit cooler than too warm?
(I've candled eggs, I had 24 eggs to start, 16 going well, the ones I'm unsure of have been left in there too, ones that didn't develop taken out, so there are 18 in there altogether now),
Thanks
1 AnswerBirds8 years agois there some kind of mini audio recording device that you can put in the lining of bag with no one knowing?
It would need to be really small so it would be put into the bag somehow without looking abnormal and it would have to be good enough to pick up sound through the bag lining, or whatever it was in...
Is there such a thing?
I know ebay have cheap stuff from hong kong but I dont know how well it would go if it was hidden or covered up.
Thanks
1 AnswerVideo Cameras8 years agoWhy haven't abortions appeared on subpoenaed medical records in Western Australia?

3 AnswersLaw & Ethics8 years agoHELP 3 BLUE walls 1 RED wall - 11yr old girl - What colour furniture and decor would match or tone this down?
The Blue is bright, almost like the colour of the blue bar at the bottom of the windows computer screens. The red is on one wall and is BLOOD red!
Im in a rental and cannot paint however my daughters 11th birthday is coming up and she wants a room makeover!!!
How can I do this without repainting?
What colours match? Or better still what colours compliment it or will make it appear "toned down" a bit?
What styles of furniture (I am buying a new bedroom set) should I get?
What theme should I go for. She is not a girly girl, her favourite colour is blue and she LOVES horses. She hates pretty pinks and really florally girly stuff.
ANY info would be appreciated?

2 AnswersParenting9 years agoIs there a way to show manufacturers, peoples invention, without them stealing the ideas?
So say a person has a great idea (lets take that beer hat for an example, with the beer holders and the straw going into the mouth) Say the person plans out their idea thoroughly and makes a physical model of their invention and then wants to show other businesses this so that those businesses can decide on whether or not they wish to manufacture and/or market this idea for the person.
HOW can you stop the businesses etc.. from taking the ideas of what they have seen and simply going off and recreating it in someway and making money from it, therefore cutting out the first person.
I know patenting would have something to do with it all however what other ways could there be?
1 AnswerOther - Business & Finance10 years agoAre there psychologists here? Is there some kind of name for these behaviors?
A woman, middle age.
Has had full hysterectomy and both breasts removed due to cancer.
Has 3 children.
When her eldest daughter was born, she left her father and told him he had no rights and was never to contact her ever again.
When the daughter was 18 she told her that her father left them and had never tried to make contact or help with the raising of her at all and that he never cared about her or tried to find her.
It turned out the father had been paying up to $200 a week child support for the child's entire life and had asked for contact and the mother had declined numerous times.
When the daughter turned 18 she became pregnant and tried to unashamedly tear the child's father away from its mother and she got her way in the end, however she hadn't counted on the child staying with the father (and the father fighting for him - she just assumed he would do what she said) which is what happened (through court orders) and she (grandmother) hates him for this.
She breaks the law and does what she wants
The daughter met her biological father when she was 18 also, and was given the other side of the story. She didn't like her mother so much after that, her father was a normal and successful person who actually hadn't done anything wrong as her mother had said he had.
The daughters mother is very sour and hateful. She believes that fathers have no rights in general and her daughter and her should be able to do whatever they want with the child.
The daughter doesn't really want the child full time - if it weren't for the grandmother pushing the court case the mother would never have gone this far with it all.
The grandmother used to tell her "leave the baby with me" "one more night" "one more hour" "you go out and have fun we'll be right" then when the father wanted the mother to bring the baby home and the mother finally tried to stand up to her mother and take the child away and back to its home with its family, she would say "he is the only thing that makes me feel happy and forget about my cancer, don't you want me to be happy?" And so the mother would be guilt tripped into leaving the baby with its grandmother again and the father would sit at home and cry as he didn't know what to do.
The mother was, and is powerless against what the grandmother wants.
She seems to be manipulative and coercive in a strange and scary way and thinks she is above the law and the courts and that the baby should be with its mother (meaning her, because the mother hasn't spent more than half a day with the baby wince it was born and doesn't have much interest in anything other than parties and drugs)
She would end up raising the baby if he was in his mothers care. This is what this grandmother wants she has an unhealthy obsession with the baby.
She will do things the right way to win him back, if that doesnt work she will do things the wrong way to get him back and if that doesnt work she will do things ANY WAY she can to get him back. She doesnt care who she hurts or whats right or wrong, its always about what she wants.
She even goes to the supervised (in a play group center) visits with the mother and child EVERY SINGLE TIME, she has never missed ONE and she takes over everything from the start whilst the mother lays around or watches on.
I think she has a strange psychological process going on due to her cancer, not being able to have more kids, the chemo among many other things.
Is there some kind of term or name for this, where people just believe that they are right all the time (she even used to do the opposite of what the DR and child carers recommended for the baby because "she was always right" and no one else could even come close to her.)
Maybe because she cant have kids she feels like this is her last chance to raise a baby (her daughters baby)
There are so many more strange things but I cant keep writing...
Thanks to anyone who got through all that
4 AnswersPsychology10 years agoPros and cons: Ebay store verses individual website? Which is better?
Which would be more viable and turn over more profit, less time etc...
An Ebay store - which takes up fees to list plus 7.9% of all final value of each product, however marketing is done for you pretty much
A website built from scratch, (this isnt a problem for me) that is unique and individual however will require more in marketing, google insertions etc.. BUT all profits will be kept as there will be no fees...
All other pros, cons and ideas and suggestions welcome,
thank you :)

1 AnswerSmall Business10 years agoWhat if someone refuses drug testing? VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE ANSWER?
The court has ordered that each party be able to pull test on each other via urine analysis once each month. If either party wanted to conduct further testing within this period, then they were able to but they had to bear all costs ($35).
We text the other party asking her if she was awake. She replied "yea y". We wrote the text and sent it as per lawyers instructions. She was informed at 8.30am that the laboratory was only open 9am to 10.30am today as it was a saturday.
She did not come to her visit with her child at 9am as usual. We assumed she would have been getting tested and thats why she was late. She always lets us know if she is going to be late but she didnt. We assume she was using this time to conpire with her mother about how to handle the text message and what to say ( didnt receive it and that they are not doing one)
She arrived at 10.15am and we asked her if she had done the test. She said no she hadnt heard anything. She knew we text her only 10 mins after asking if she was awake and her saying yes but said she got no text and she was late because she was looking for her phone because she lost it.
We advised her again and gave her a letter in writing, requesting a test that was a replica of the text we sent earlier.
She refused until she spoke to her lawyer... (good excuse) We offered her a lift to the hospital to get the test done, she had 15 mintues, and it was only a 3 minute drive, she refused again.
She maintains she lost her phone only a few minutes after we text her, we belive she has a concoction of speed, pot and alcohol in her system.
What will happen when we get back to court?
What happens if someone refuses a test?
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics10 years agoIf the icon for SurfBouncer VPN Service in tray is red, is it still working using a proxy?
So I've begun using SurfBouncers VPN service. The icon in the bottom tray is red and when I click on desktop icon it says "open VPN is already running".
When I check "whats my IP" online, it comes up slightly different each day but is always in close proximity to the location I am in. I do not need to input user ID or password for this, it seems to be automatic.
When I connect to another specific country from the list when I click on the icon in the tray, the IP comes up as being very different, the icon in bottom tray turns green and clearly says I am connected through the proxy in the country I have chosen.
So, my questions is, when I don't choose a specific overseas country (as in the opening paragraph) and the icon is still red, is it still connecting me through a proxy server? Perhaps one close to my actual location, in my own country? Because when I check my IP online during this, to make sure its working, it does seem to be different IP each time but the fact that the icon hasn't changed to green is throwing me off... a lot!
Thank you
2 AnswersSoftware10 years agoHow does the family background affect a courts decision to decide custody?
(I'm in Australia)
So if the mother and father are "bad" people and have records, could we dig this out when building a case against their daughter in court regarding a custody battle? (she currently does not have custody, trying to make it stay that way)
Would a mother and fathers criminal background have any impact on their daughters custody case?
How can we show the court that - both her parents are pot smoking no hopers, dont work, their 14 year old already drinks and smokes dope, their 7 year old is an ill mannered so and so (only a matter of time) and the 19 year old, well she is the mother of the baby she doesn't have custody of.
