I grew up on a PA farm with cows, chickens, goats and pigeons. We had an orchard, a large vegetable garden, and colonies of bees. I have 8 brothers and 6 sisters, all of us are still living, single births, born to full Italian parents. I owned a roofing and siding company, worked as a master carpenter and as a flight crewmember on a US Air Force C141A-B four engine heavy jet flying all over the world. I've held a private pilots license most of my life. I am interested in science and when the mood strikes I am a pilot, painter, photographer, writer and always a bird lover. I have rehabilitated a cardinal, five sparrow hawks, numerous gold finches, one wren, two crows, three fly catchers and a great horned owl, all successfully released. Wild quail love my SC fields and here in VA I've built and placed 16 bird houses including a five sided purple martin house. Check out my art project. http://www.mascaro.us
