I have an older Sony 5.1 surround sound receiver. Worked beautifully for several years, until recently. The left channel speaker is not working at all. Now, I checked the speaker itself and the wiring, those are not what is causing this and the problem is completely limited to the receiver only.

Now, is this a easy fix? Maybe a blown fuse that can be replaced?

I have a model STRK740P Sony Digital audio/video receiver. Of the 5.1 channels, the left for some reason stopped working, but all of the other speakers work fine. I swapped the speaker with another working channel, and it worked fine so that is not the problem. The cables connected the speakers themselves aalso work fine and are not causing the problem.. My conclusion is that the problem lies with the receiver; it is no longer outputting a left speaker signal. What is the problem?

I have a 60GB ps3. I recently purchased GTA IV, and I installed the 1.02 GTA IV patch. When I run the disc, the install starts, but halfway through, it freezes. The slideshow, the music, and the progress bar all stop. What can I do?
