Need help identifying rock song from around the mid-2000s (vocaroo link below)?
I recorded the song to a cassette from TV around the mid-2000's. I wrote "Popcorn" on the cassette label, but I don't know if this is the name of the band or the song. The band looked young, late-teens or early-20s. It was a music video that I found randomly while going through the music section of my cable provider's "on demand" service. The video didn't look high budget, but it didn't look like it was shot with someone's camcorder either. So, professionally shot, but limited budget. I've tried Shazamming it and googling lyrics, as well as searching for bands and songs called "Popcorn". I posted this to a couple boards a while back without success. More recently, I posted it to several Reddit boards (Name That Song, Identify This Track, Tip of My Tongue, Lost Wave), but still don't have an answer. I'll leave the vocaroo link here (the audio quality is bad, but it's all I've got):
1 AnswerOther - Music10 months agoSubstitute for chicken broth in Mexican rice recipe?
A novice cook herem Planning on making a Mexican rice tomorrow from a recipe I found online. The recipe calls for 2 cups of chicken broth. I have all the principal ingredients (rice, cumin, garlic salt, tomato sauce, vegetable oil) except for chicken broth.. I read somewhere that water can be substituted for chicken broth in soup recipes, but not sure if it would work well for a rice recipe. If it would, should I put 2 cups of water (i.e. equal to the amount of broth the recipe calls for)? Would it work without ANY broth substitute, just the other ingredients?
12 AnswersCooking & Recipes11 months agoBaking cheesecake--will it come out okay if I substitute a casserole dish for a springform pan?
Recipes I've come across call for the use of a springform pan, but I don't have one and don't want to buy a pan that I will only use for one thing. I have a round casserole dish that looks a little something like this:

Has anyone ever used a dish like this for baking a cheesecake, and were the results good?
11 AnswersCooking & Recipes2 years agoStrange symptoms involving toes?
My mom in concerned at some strange symptoms that came on suddenly. She was experiencing pain in her toe, and when she took her sock of to look at her toes, she saw that her second toe (the one next to the big toe) keeps bending down at a sharp angle. Not folding, mind you, the toe remains rigid, but angled so that it is below the other toes. The pain felt like it was "travelling" up her foot, and she flexed all of her toes before letting them relax. The second to stayed straight for a moment...and then angled downward. She flexed all of her toes again and relaxed, and after a few seconds of the toes staying in line with each other both the second and third toes went down. after more flexing the toes sort of staid level with the other toes, but she said the pain remains, and a burning sensation in her foot. Any idea what this could be?
7 AnswersInjuries3 years agoProblem with headhpone jack on Samsung phone?
Headphones started not working right (I'd have to jiggle the wire to get it working). I switched to using a cheap pair of airbuds, and it worked, so I thought other pair was broken. Then I noticed the old pair worked fine on MP3 player, and the cheap pair stopped working on the phone too, but also worked fine on MP3 player. Read that it could be a problem with dirt in the jack. I blow int he jack, and it works for a few second or a minute, then stops working again. I tried cleaning gently with a cotton swab, and it worked for about twenty minutes...then stopped. Cotton swab came out a little dirty first time I cleaned the jack, but on subsequent cleanings it doesn't come out dirty anymore. Been like this for a week or so. If I blow in it, it works for a few seconds or a minute. If I clean it with swab, it works for 10-20 minutes then stops. Sometime when t it stops working, if I move wire around a little it'll work, but stops if I move even the tiniest bit.
1 AnswerMusic & Music Players3 years agoCan you ID what edition these two Dark Tower books should be categorized as?
I have these two old library books from the 90s, one is "Waste Lands", and the other is "Wizard & Glass". I thought I would unload them on Amazon, but I can't find any listings that match the specific books I have (they have different covers, or printing dates from more recent years, etc.). I did find a paperback that has the same image on the cover as the copy of Wizard & Glass I have, but the book I have has a hard cover. (Waste Lands also has a hard cover.) I took some pics to help. Since I can't figure out how to upload more than one picture, I uploaded the images to imgur.
Fist four pics, Wizard & Glass:

1 AnswerBooks & Authors3 years agoYour experience after having gallbladder removed?
I have a surgery scheduled in a little over a month to take my gallbladder out. I went and did the worst thing I could do, which was to go online and look up complications of such a surgery. Came upon a thread which made it some like pretty much everyone who has their gallbladder out is miserable now because everything they eat gives them debilitating cramps, diarrhea and/or vomiting even when eating the recommended low fat post-op diet, in some cases even years after their surgery. Some people said that even drinking a glass of water caused misery.
I'm kind of freaking out about it. Trying to cheer myself up with the thought that people who have had no problems are less likely to go online just to say, "Yeah, everything worked out fine", and therefore are less likely to post to such threads, so I'm not getting a really accurate picture. Feel like I'm caught in a catch-22. I know I need my gallbladder out, but some of the stories I've read make it sound like the end result won't be much better, and in some cases sounds downright horrible.
1 AnswerOther - Health5 years agoGelatinous beef stew--is it still good?
I opened up a large can of Hartford House beef stew, and the contents, instead of being liquidy as one would expect, were sort of solid and gelatinous. I checked the expiration date, and it doesn't expire until 2017. I'm probably just gonna throw it away, but I wanted to know if this is something normal that happened sometimes, or if it is a sign that the stew went bad.
9 AnswersCooking & Recipes5 years agoNeed title of horror novel?
I heard someone describe a book that had a plot where there were these creatures, and if you saw them you went crazy (or something like that). People would avoid going outside and cover their windows to avoid seeing the creatures. It sounded like a recent book, but I could be wrong.
1 AnswerBooks & Authors6 years agoIs it legal for a restaurant to round your bill up to the nearest dollar?
I had food delivered from a restaurant a few times. Realized I was being overcharged, so I called and asked for the manager. The manager said that they have a policy of rounding delivery order up to the next dollar (always UP. never down). They said it had something to do with them not wanting delivery people to have to carry around loose change. This policy is not stated on their website or menus, and I was only informed after I called to inquire about it.
4 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoDry socket?
I had a molar extracted six days ago. Someone I know who had teeth extracted before was surprised when I said that i still felt some pain, because their own pain was gone after about two days. My pain isn't severe (maybe a 1 or 2 on a scale of 1-10). I was told there should be a blood clot in the cavity. I'm not sure what a blood clot is supposed to look like (a clot of blood I guess, lol), but I don't see anything that looks like a clot of blood. It's just an empty cavity where my tooth used to be, and that mild pain. The stitch that the dentist put in fell out yesterday (woke up and felt it on my tongue). The bottom of the hole looks whitish/pinkish. So, I don't see anything that looks like what I assume a blood clot is supposed to look like, and I am still feeling some pain almost a week after extraction, however the pain is nothing like what I've heard others say it would feel like if it were a dry socket (excruciating, radiating, etc.)
1 AnswerDental7 years agoStitches partially fell out after extraction?
When I had my molar removed my dentist said that I wouldn't have to come back in to get the stitches taken out. I don't recall if he said they would dissolve or fall out, but either way the issue would resolve on its own. It's been five days since the extraction, and when I woke up this morning I realized that the stitches had partially fallen out. It looks like one end came loose, while the other three are still firmly in my gums, It feels weird having a loose thread moving around in my mouth. Has anyone had this happen, and is it normal? Would it be best to wait for the stitches to fall the rest of the way out naturally?
2 AnswersDental7 years agoQuestion about pain after tooth extraction?
I had a tooth (a molar) extracted two days ago. The first day the extraction site looked red, the color of blood. I noticed yesterday (day after extraction) the extraction site was whitish. There was surprisingly little pain, so even though it was only one day after the removal, I didn't take my pain meds except for once in the morning. When I went to bed I was still marveling at how little pain there was. When I woke up this morning, there was pain. Not extreme pain, but definitely more pain than yesterday when I had only taken my pain meds once. I took a pain pill and did a salt water rinse before inspecting my mouth. The extraction site still looked whitish, as before. I just happened to check my mouth again (about 4 hours after last inspection), and I now see that the whitish area has gotten darker. It's not red like blood, more like grayish. I'm wondering whether there is cause for concern. I am taking an antibiotic as prescribed by the dentist, and there is no drainage or fever, which I understand are signs of an infection. It's just the fact that the pain came back after being almost completely absent for a day that concerns me.
2 AnswersDental7 years agoUrgent--best remedy for pain from a cracked tooth?
Had an old filling that fell out. I didn't have insurance, so I never had it re-filled. Within the last six months or so my tooth cracked while eating, the inside of the tooth is almost completely gone. It didn't really hurt (plus the lack of insurance thing), so I never had it looked at. Tonight while eating pain flared up really bad. If I touched the cracked part of tooth with tongue get a flare of pain. Can't even see about getting a dental appointment until morning, and I am in a lot of pain. Can you recommend anything? Does oragel work at all?
1 AnswerDental7 years agoDoes putting tea bags in freezer effect them at all?
I bought a box of Lipton tea bags, and while I was putting groceries away I accidentally put it in the freezer. It's been in there about a day. The box still has the plastic wrapper on. Does anyone know if this will have a negative effect on the taste or anything?
