  • Longer periods after starting birth control?

Hi im 18 and I'm taking birth control to help regulate my period(not sexually active) since I've always been irregular. I started taking them after my doctor prescribed them and I started taking it the first day of my period. Normally my periods last at least a whole week, but it has been two and a half weeks and I'm still bleeding. I don't have the symptoms I usually have when I have my period(migraines, bloating, irritabilitycramping, etc.), just the bleeding still. It isn't heavy, but is still visible. I know it's because of hormones and it will take my body getting used to them, but how long do these prolonged periods last and when should I be concerned?

  • If I exercise daily (walking for a least an hour at my local park) what foods can I eat to match the exercise I'm doing?

I know you have to burn a lot of calories just to lose a pound, but I try to exercise daily for getting rid of belly fat and for health reasons also. What kind of diet can I eat to match what I'm doing because I feel like I'm defeating the purpose.

  • Why is being a virgin uncool in today's society?

I'm not knocking anyone for not being a virgin because it's your life, but why must I and others jump on the band wagon of doing it because everyone else is doing it. It seems as if society is going backwards. Having sex early is praised by your peers and not having it at an early age is wrong or uncool and then people look down on you. I'm 17 by the way and about to go off to college and I don't want to b tempted and pressured and it has nothing to do with "morals" to me but im uncomfortable having casual sex when I know the consequences. I think that's just common sense. I've known people my age to have abortions because they are afraid of what people think. So why waste a life when you could have prevented the pregnancy from happening and then they continue to have sex. So why do you think society is like this now?

  • While I support Caitlyn jenner and her decision to live who she wants to be, why are people bashing everyone who disagree s with it.?

She had the right to transition just as those that disagree have a right to voice their opinion. She chose to be in the spotlight so naturally people are going to disagree with it but what happened to freedom of speech. Now I see all these celebrities that are "apologizing" for their comments which people say are transphobic.Insensitive yes but to attack the people and demanding apologies for their comments which they have a right to do. Personally I'm tolerant on how people live as long as they are doing right by it. I believe she is happy which is all that matters. But should these celebs apologize? I'm just curious on how people feel about free speech but still want to be pc.

  • Should this be acceptable?....?

My father who is a police officer thinks it's okay to abuse me (his daughter) his son and our mother. It is almost as if he thinks because he is the law he can be above the law. If he physically abuses us or shows up on me and my mom's property he would say "I don't care if you call the police".So really my question is should is be right for the people who knows he is abusive and crazy (family members, friends of his, etc. Turn the other cheek because they are I guess scared and threatened by him. His "friends" know that he is crazy and yet I guess they tolerate him because he occasionally gets them or their children out of trouble or a traffic ticket. If you know someone is being mistreated especially a father to his daughter (me) who is a recently high school grad and 17 and my brother and mom then why would you go along with it because he thinks he is untouchable.
