So I had NO idea that molting hermit crabs smelled like fresh meat to other hermit crabs, so today I noticed my hermit crab had begun molting, and I'm guessing my other hermit crab did too bc a few hours later I returned to see my molting hermit crab on his back and his big claw appears to be damaged and I can only assume my other hermit crab was munching on him. I immediately separated them, but I want to know if my molting hermit crab is likely to be okay?? His feeder claw appears to be fine and otherwise they don't usually fight or anything. If his exoskeleton hardens, as I hope it will, I think he will have a mangled claw ☹️

Now this seems like a cliche question and your first instinct is either gonna be "listen to your parents" or "ur too young", but like heres the situation:

At this point I should be trusted to handle myself well enough that even if I do have sex I'll use protection (sex isn't a taboo in my house, we joke and reference it all the time)

My older sister was allowed at boy's houses when she was my age and younger, even. But for some reason I'm not?

I don't really do anything behind their backs they don't have a reason not to.trust me

And like they have no problem if he comes over here or if we're in public but when he is over they seem to watch us like a hawk and like they say that if we cuddle I'm "submitting to him", which is ridiculous. And also they say I have to "earn the right" to cuddle with him???

I've talked to.my sister (who's 20), my brother in law(21), and my aunt (over 30, idk her exact age) and they all say they're being ridiculous and don't understand why they're acting like this with me when they didn't with my sister.

I'm tired of it and it's stressing me out bc like I have everything I could ask for materially but like they don't seem to care about what I ahve to say about my emotions
