  • !988 Yamaha 115Hp V4 outboard?

Changed plugs before putting in the water for the season. New fuel, clean fuel filter, starts up and seems to be fine but then starts surging seems like a clutch is slipping but The rpms are actually dropping Any Ideas would be helpful. ( I'm thinking a weak fuel pump or dirty carbs)

  • Will a Compression test..?

tell me if there is a valve bent in an interference engine? Someone else replaced a broken timing belt on a 1.5 ltr Kia and it won't start. I was wondering if I could do a compression test for possible valve damage.

  • Blown "sunshell"?

98 Camaro 3800 2nd gen with 4L60E trans Apparently have blown the sunshell. Is there a different trans that will fit with a better reliability. I know it can be rebuilt for up to 1000 HP. but going to return tranny to salvage yard for replacement /refund. This trans has the high top bell housing.

  • 98 Camaro 3800 " 2nd Gen" Automatic?

Replaced factory trans with a used one from salvage yard with approx 40k miles on it. Car drove fine for two days(about 300 miles,Short road trip). Now there is something that won't let the car move backwards. Even in neutral with engine off. Thought it might be in rear axle. Put on jackstands disconnected driveshaft from the axle at pinion yoke, Yoke turns both directions freely. Drive shaft stationary in "park" but will only turn in direction to drive axle in forward direction. Trying to turn in reverse direction is like it being in "park".(Regardless of shifter position) Is this something that might be fixable through the pan without removing the trans or not? If so any ideas on what parts I might need to do so besides new filter kit and fluid?
