Camera: Nikon D3000

I've heard that I shouldn't put it in my checked baggage but with all the flight restrictions today, is it okay to have it in my carry on? If I take it in my carry on, is it okay for the camera to go through the X-ray thingy or will it damage the camera? Should I ask the people to take the camera to the side and physically check it instead of letting it go through the X-ray?

So I edit a photo and the end product is one with terrific colors. But then when I upload that photo on deviantart or facebook, the colors are mutated and not as bright or bold as it was when I saved it on PSE. When I reopen that photo and it opens on PSE it looks like that original amazingly colored photo I had originally made. What's the problem? Am I saving it incorrectly?

Has there ever been? In stores or online?

When I tried to load the photos from my memory card on to my mac, iphoto won't load half of them which have apparently become corrupt. I know that I have to format it. But how do I do it without losing the photos? Should I just take the card to the store and have them print them out? It's a SanDisk Extreme III 2.0 GB.

I just moved from NY to PA. I took and passed my permit test in NY but do I need to take another test to get a PA driver's permit?

So I downloaded a bunch of widgets from apple.com like the Time Scroller and Countdown. But how do I change the settings on them? For example how do I add more cities to Time Scroller and change the Countdown to days until Spring Break? Do I have to go to a website because I'm trying to double click on the widget but it's not working.
