3 AnswersMilitary8 years agoWould you be financially satisfied?
If you are graduating college at 22. You get a job that pays 40,000 a year, and you will gradually get increases to 70,000 a year by age 30, then you can't get anymore raises. Would you be happy with the money? Is it more than enough to raise a family? Would you quit and find a job with more room for growth?
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment8 years agoApply for the same position I didn't get selected for?
I applied for a job with a big organization. I feel like I am qualified but maybe not the number 1 person they are looking for. The online status showed under review for about 3 months. They took the job posting down and I was not selected. They have however put that exact same job back up as posted yesterday. They obviously wanted more people to apply. If I apply again quickly will they notice and think better of me? Or is it useless to apply again? I'm thinking that they didn't "reject" me, but they wanted more applicants so they reporsted.
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment8 years agoJob interview with acne problem?
I am interviewing for a career job an I have a big old zit on my nose. As well as some other acne on my cheeks that isn't bad. Do you think e interviewer will judge me because of that? I am 21 years old and graduating college soon and I still get zits. And yes I use acne products that helps a lot but I still get acne. I feel like this zit on my nose is a stress zit because I have an interview soon lol.
The job is one where I have to travel and meet a lot of people and pays around 60k so it's a real career job. Would they not want to give this professional job to a zit face?
4 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment8 years agoOffice building question?
How do you find out what companies reside in office buildings? There is a nice area with a lot of buildings and I'm sure hundreds of companies use the office space, but I don't know how to find out which ones re there so I can apply for jobs. Anyone know?
1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment8 years agoTransamerica pyramid?
This would be the ultimate building to work in. Does anyone know what companies work there? Apparently there are 50 firms on there but I can't find a list anywhere. I know Bank of America is one. Anyone know any others?
1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment8 years agoCan I get a job with a 2.85 GPA?
Can I get a real job when I graduate that pays more than $15 an hour? I will have about a 2.85 GPA and a few mediocre minimum wage jobs and a pretty good internship where I made $13 an hour. I will be 21 still when I graduate with a Business finance degree. Will employers want me? Will I get a lot of interviews with this on my resume?
Other - Careers & Employment9 years agoWhat jobs should I try to get?
I am going to graduate with a degree in finance soon. But I don't have anything special to put on my resume. GPA of 2.8 and two minimum wage jobs not related to finance. No internship and no officer position in a club.
What kind of jobs can I realistically persue and how much do they pay?
1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment9 years agoWhy won't my friend leave me alone?
We were roommates and he lives in the city next to me. I did not like this guy and just put up with him until the term came to an end. He wanted to live together again but I am going to live with another friend.
It is summer now and he always wants to hang out with me but all he ever wants to do is talk about the million problems he has. I want to be acquainted and talk when we run into each other but I do not want to spend time and gas money hanging out with this guy.
How can I get him to leave me alone. I feel like if I tell him I never want to hang out with him he'll want to get revenge on me or so something.
1 AnswerFriends9 years agoHow much money should a recent grad make?
What is the least amount of money you should accept as your first job out of college?
I am not going to accept minimum wage as i make $9 an hour now and it is hardly worth my time. I am thinking that if i dont get offered at least $15 an hour then i am not going to take the job.
Is this realistic? Should i lower my standards to maybe $12 an hour? Or should i aim higher and not accept anything below $20?
Obviously i will also consider promotional opportunities within companies also, but i will have rent to pay and loans to pay back so i will need some extra money just to live and i do not want to live with my parents after college.
I will have a B.S degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, GPA around 2.8
Any thoughts, experience, or comments?

3 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment9 years agoI knwo im in trouble, but how much? Retail store?
I am an idiot and i fully expect to be fired when i go into work tomorrow.. and hopefully not worse
I work at a well known retail store as a cashier.
The lady asks me to put $500 on 4 gift cards, and i do, she swipes her credit card (stolen) and tells me the numbers i need to approve that its a real credit card to allow the transaction to go through. For $2,000. Then she buys 4 more, and it goes through, then the third time it doesnt work. I just allowed a women to steal $4,000 off of someones credit card.
I know that buying multiple gift cards at that hugh is suspicious, but i just wasnt thinking, i had a long day and was out of it. my shift ended shourtly after so i went home and we have our security investigating it now. I work again tomorrow. What is going to happen? Will my store hold me responisibly and fine me the $4,000 for allowing the transaction? All of the evidence was there i am just an idiot.

So if you apply for a credit card and get denied i guess it hurts your credit. But what if you get accepted and you just never use the card ever?
I just got my first one but im afraid to use it..
3 AnswersCredit9 years agoCan i get this job at a bank?
I want to be a part time teller at Chase bank.
I have 7 months experience as a cashier at a major retailer. Also another job before that, but it didnt have any skills worthy of becoming a teller.
I am also finishing my junior year majoring in finance.
Do i look good enough or are there probably other better qualified candidates that the bank will hire?
3 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment9 years agoWhat should i have accomplished by now?

I am trying to set goals for myself.
4 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment9 years agoLooking professional. Hair?
for a guy with short hair, does it look more professional to do nothing with it so it just looks normal, or to put some product in the hair so it has a slightley more slick (wet?) look?
Or does it not matter at all. Say in an office setting where you would meet with clients daily.
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment9 years agoHow bad is this? Stealing?
So im a cashier and i gave an expensive item to a customer without them paying fo it. This is how it went. They have $20 worth of items in front, last item is a $100+ item with a security lock. I am about to scan it then they say something to me, pointing and i look and answer their question. I thne take the security off, and put the item in the bag.
This was a total accident and i feel like an idiot. They should have spent around $200, but they got out spending $20. Watching on the security tape its pretty obvious they were trying to trick me, and they did. They knew they were stealing and they did it anyways, even though it is my own fault it was obviously an accident.
Will i get in trouble for this? I am a good employee with no other encounters. will they just keep scheduling me or are they going to talk to me again?
