  • Why does my 2009 Schwinn Laguna scooter 49cc start up but then die after I give it gas a few times?

My 2009 Schwinn Laguna scooter just started dieing on me. It starts up but then when I give it gas a few times it dies. It doesn't even have a chance to warm up. If I continue to try and start it gas will leak out air filter when giving it any throttle. I have pulled the carb and cleaned all of it. When I tried to start it after reinstalling carb it fired up first time but after a few minutes it died. I adjusted the air mixture so it is 2 turns out. Sounds much better but can't keep it running. My concern now is a vaccum hose on the carb. It had a small hole but NO where sells the thing to replace it. I cut off the hole part and had to reuse it. It has a small valve inside which I think works on a vaccum but no air can be blown through it from either end. Is it plugged or? I wanted to replace the entire hose but as I said no where around me has one. Any ideas what else I can try? Does my air mixture need adjusted out a bit more (maybe 2 1/2-3 turns instead of 2) to allow me to adjust my idle down a bit so wheel will not spin or? I have changed spark plug it was slightly blackened, changed oil also changing air filter. I did notice that when scooter starts the back wheel doesn't spin but then it revs up higher during idle and wheel starts to turn but if I turn the idle screw counter clock wise anymore it dies immediately. Also I only cleaned carb and float but did not replace any parts.
