  • Dream interpretation regarding marijuana.?

I'm a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Consultant, and one of my clients had a dream about me last night. She dreamed that I took her to a seedy store because I was looking for weed, and I was acting really strange. Apparently, in her dream, I was trying to peer pressure her into smoking with me, but she kept on saying no and "What?" I'm quite proud of her dream self. Anyhow, I left her at some sort of boat dock, and she told me we had to finish our meeting, but I said we would finish it later, and I just abandoned her there? Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, she is a foster child, and she has a court date coming up next week to determine her custody arrangement. I've been working with her 5 hours per week since October of last year. The likely result will be long-term foster care, and she is aware of this.

  • In Dire Need of Statistics Help, please?

    Here's the problem:

A researcher would like to estimate how much reaction time is affected by a common over the counter cold medication. The researcher measures reaction time for a sample of n=36 participants. Each is then given a dose of the cold medication and reaction time is measured again. For this sample, reaction time increased after the medication by an average of M(D)= 24 milliseconds with s=8.

    a. Make a point estimate of the mean difference in reaction time caused by the medicine.

    b. Make a 95% confidence interval estimate of the population mean difference.

Do you do it? More importantly, do you secretly, or not so secretly, delight in it?

  • Should I stop bringing it up?

So, I've been dating this guy for almost a month. We went to the video store the other night to rent some movies, and he saw a family friend. He was trying to introduce me, but he forgot my name!

I know that he knows my name, and he just kind of spaced for a second, and I laughed it off. I'm not mad or anything.

I am just wondering if I should stop making fun of him about it.

  • Poem about Alcoholics Anonymous?

    Keep Coming Back!

    "It works" they say

    Hope has arrived,

    so sit down and stay

    You got a problem?

    Shut up and listen

    Or go back out...

    See what you're missin'

    Or tell me about it

    I know what you need

    I won't hear you, but

    let me plant the seed

    I'm not God

    neither are you

    Isn't that obvious?

    You're brand, spankin' new

    Let me tell you

    all about you, OK?

    I was there, too

    Listen to what I say

    What.. You're upset

    Deal with it

    Tell the truth

    Say, "I'm a piece of ****."

    What's your value?

    It's all in your head.

    Original Ideas? Emotions?

    You'll wind up dead

    You're too selfish

    Pray, be grateful

    It's not me, it's you

    Don't be so hateful

    It's the truth

    You don't wanna hear it

    Well, the bottle's there

    Just don't go near it.

    ACTUALLY

I don't care if you go

    Just come back

    I'll say, "Welcome!"

and I'll think, "I told you so."

  • Read and Reflect? Criticize and Critique?

    Cracked

This is how it always is.

    It's strategic.

    The inhale? Most important.

    Entirely enclosed,

you take it in and hold it

    but save the exhale.

This is the only time to disappear,

pass it back... pass it forth...

This is how it always is.

    It's a lonely existence.

    The only company being

    smoky clouds

    and fruit flies

    and the next hit.

This is how it always is.

    It ends too quickly.

There's one in the cup on the stove,

    three in the tea tin,

and one on top of the door.

This is how it always is.

    It can't run out,

    so break up the brillo,

    scrape the gauge,

    and down on your knees

    to search the floor.
