Who is responsible for replacing stolen grave markers?
My great-grandparent's bronze plaques were stolen from their cemetery. The cemetery says it is our responsibility to replace them. Is it? Shouldn't the cemetery bear some of the cost since they failed to protect them? If anyone can point to relevant material on the subject I'd appreciate it. I'm hopefully going to be looking at the contract but internet search engines have failed to find me any relevant material.
