Can I put a GFI outlet on a circuit with a regular outlet?
There is an outlet just pointing the other direction (to another room) and it would be quite easy to continue the wiring from that to a GFI outlet in the bathroom. Is this advisable? Do I need any special wiring considerations? Also, how far does it need to be from a sink? Thanks.

Not a big deal, and kind of funny, but after repeated reminders, my 19 year old son keeps taking off his shoes and leaving them in the pathway. I've tried taking his shoes and putting them out in the garage. I've lately put a note in his shoes with a reminder to please put them away when they're mis-placed. I'm now starting to put them on his bed. We have a good relationship generally, and this is just a small irritant, so I'm looking for both serious and fun ideas here. His mother is alot more relaxed about it (isn't this usually a mom rather than a dad who "worries" about this??).

Obviously no one wins from having an alcoholic in the home, but who do you believe are the victims most often? Why do you believe their suffering is the more pronounced? Thx.
