Me (indian) got married to a German bride in 2011... We are both christians and the wedding was organised by my church here in delhi. The church fixed a person (who claimed he was registered and had the license to conduct marriages) - this person too is a pastor... He gave us a certificate (marriage certificate) and had signed it as the representative of the office of the registrar of marriages. On presenting the the certificate to the German embassy, we were asked for this persons license number... To which he mentioned he had none... we had approached the German embassy to seek an extension of my wife's visa... They then informed us that the certificate was not acceptable and thereafter seeking a visa to be with my wife became an ordeal, we did not have enough time to register ourselves as that required.a 30 day notice.... It's been over a year trying to get this situation corrected, please advice what options i have and the best way to get thus corrected.
