Hi. I'm just here to ask for advice I basically messed up really bad my freshman year of college which has been at a community college. I know now that I made mistakes. I wanted to take a year off between hs and college but instead of listening to myself I chose to listen to my peers and society to go straight to college because it was what was expected. My first semester I dealt with family problems and a death in my family and my second semester I was keen on doing better but in the middle of the semester I had a nervous breakdown (unrelated to school) and was diagnosed with depression. Basically now this whole situation is just a wake up call because now I know I have to get my **** together and I am driven to. After summer I know I want to work hard at school but basically I want to know did I just screw myself over in every way? I went into college with 20 units done from high school and I managed to finish around 10 more units this year but I feel as if I just screwed myself over with this year and I don't know if I can fix it

Hi just want to start up by saying I am almost 21 and therefore will be going to celebrate. So a month ago I lost my license and decided to get a new one; the delivery is 60 days and so far it has been 30. But yesterday I found my license wedged inbetween my desk(probably from my niece who likes to hide things) and since my celebration is coming up soon I wanted to know will my old id still scan at a club especially if my new id doesn't get here in time? Or does my old id not work anymore because I have a new id?

I recently got a vch piercing and I love it I just want to know if anyone knows how healing goes for this piercing. I'm really freaked out over rejection or scarring of this area because it's a delicate area. I didn't have any bleeding after my piercing and theres discomfort when I sit or move certain ways. I'm really freaked out that I'm causing scar tissue to form when I sit wrong or too fast and accidentally hurt the piercing. Right now it's my third day and there's slight itching. I clean it twice a day with provon and there hasn't been any discharge yet.

Hi today I received a parking citation for parking in front of my neighbors house. I am not directly in front of her house just her lawn area in between houses. The reason the car has been parked there for the past month is because my battery died and could not hold a charge and I just recently was able to purchase a new one and labor which will be fixed this week so I can get it running already (broke college student, had to work all through my break to afford a repair) I also haven't officially changed the title of the car under my name which I'm doing this week too. I am just wondering since my neighbor never had said anything to me about the car, since I can't move the car until it is fixed which will be in the upcoming week can it be towed away or do I have some type of grace period? It also says I can contest the ticket. I'm in Northern California, specifically the central valley

Well here's the story I bought a car the other day for 1500 dollars, the same day someone left a note saying they wanted to buy my car and I was planning on selling them the car for 2200 but here's the thing it hasn't been registered. In california the law says I have 10 days to register it it's the second day that I've actually had it and since I want to sell it I don't want to register it just to sell it again. So what I'm asking is what's my options? Do I need to register it to sell it? I have the pink paper from the prior owner. I also want to buy another car this week too with that money so I don't want to register two cars for no reason. Thanks.

This is my first year at college, which is a community college, and something went wrong with my financial aid being processed to where I will not receive any funds for another 6-8 weeks. I also won't receive my scholarship funds (of remaining 500$) until the school processes the checks which will also be a few weeks. Currently I have a student credit card through Bank of America which is nearly almost maxed out due to me buying furniture for the room I'm renting. My savings have all went towards rent and groceries and such that I am without money to buy remaining things like school supplies, textbooks, and a laptop. My parents refuse to offer me any financial assistance so far (they are against girls moving out prior to marriage although it is for an education) So I'm wondering if there's any website or place that would give me a loan until I receive my aid, I would pay off the loan in full it would just help me pay for things like a laptop, textbooks, rent for next month, utilities, and groceries. I would only need about 750 dollars so less than a thousand. If anyone knows of any options please let me know

Hi today I just got back from the obgyn. I have been on Microgestin (low hormone birth control pill) since December and it ruined my skin and made me break out with blackheads and cystic acne and small acne and left scars on my face. Before I never got breakouts. Today at my obgyn I was supposed to get paraguard (a non hormonal iud) but during the insertion my gyno deemed that my uterus was too small to fit it and then just decided to switch me to ortho tri cyclen. My question is how many of you ladies use this birth control? Should I be expecting horrible skin again? Because I'm tired of hormones

I'm getting my first tattoo tomorrow and I've heard many things like no drinking, or smoking (Marijuana and other stuff), or taking medications. But what I'm wondering is that I have seasonal allergies that got considerably worse this week because i live in the valley and I'm wondering if it's okay for me to take allergy medicine so I won't be as sneezy and stuffed up during the process, I'm currently taking 24 hour walitin (the walgreens generic brand of claritin) Also I'm on birth control pills, does that affect blood in any way either?

On Friday night I had sex twice without a condom with my partner, I've been on microgestin fe 1/20 and had just started my third pack on Wednesday (which means I was on my placebo period pills for the week before that) He didn't ejaculate he pulled out. Also last night I had sex with a condom but the condom slipped off (I'm not sure when) but we noticed and he didn't ejaculate (it had only been a few minutes) So what I'm asking is how likely is it that I could be pregnant from this? I've heard horror stories about getting pregnant on the pill, should I take plan B?

I'd just like to know if there was some kind of legal documentation I could use to cut off all ties to be legally recognized as a family member of someone.

I'm currently eighteen and me and my sister had a bit of a falling out. Long story short I cannot handle her anymore and there is no reconciliation for me. The last straw pretty much was yesterday when she had a tantrum because she thought I took her shoes (she's 26) and trashed my room while also convincing my parents that I was some kind of liar and thief so I would have all my privileges taken away from me. Again, the situation is complicated and I'd love if everyone would respect my decision. But ultimately I'm asking if there's a way I can cut off ties with her so legally she won't be recognized as a sister to me. Thanks.

I just got hired at Hollister like an hour ago, I'm a minor

the guy said I need to bring two forms of id or something showing that I can legally work in the U.S and he said a social security card and drivers license, he said there were several ways of doing this but I forgot the link to the page all I heard was "Abercrombie new hires" and I can't find the page online. So For now I know I have to bring a drivers license and my ssc. But I don't have my drivers license would a California ID card suffice? Also, the work permit guy is only here on certain days so should I bring my ID cards a different day than my work permit or on the same day? Thanks in advance!

I just had my interview, I did all the good things I wore a pink hollister top (it was warm today like 78 degrees) and you couldn't really see the seagull, and hollister jeans, and a pair of flip flops (had my toes and nails done with a white tip from my 17th bday) I was nervous so I spoke really eloquently and said a lot but not too much, I actually think I did well but I sounded like it was rehearsed (but I didn't rehearse anything) I loosly curled my hair so it looked nice and wavy and natural, with really light makeup and barely any eyeshadow and mascara. There was about 5 people in my group interview, only two (me and another girl) were there for models the rest were for impact. The guy said we would get a call in the next 5 days if we got the job. So does this mean I have to wait to know? What are the chances that I would actually get the position? I know that they have other group hirings so I want to know how many they hire from each or if they even hire any from each..

So after having this terrible cold since Saturday and as always a sore throat that follows (Sore throats for me are usually swollen tonsils and itchy throat at times, my tonsils are big so they get infected all the time) I went to my local doctor. They did that swab thing and asked about my symptoms. I said common cold a congested nose, which is runny, and sometimes a difficulty with swallowing in the mornings (pain because of the throat) and slight coughing (only happened at night a few times.) No fever, just the chills. And my temperature today was 99. The test came back with me saying I was positive for strep and prescribed antibiotics. I'm just wondering how I have strep with cold symptoms? I thought that strep was never with any cold symptoms and that my temperature had to have been over a 100 degrees.

Okay so I'll start off by saying that I am almost seventeen and I currently weigh somewhere between 88-94 pounds (it changes daily) I'm 5'3" and I'm just a naturally petite girl, and I know that yet I'm very insecure about my body since the media conveys all skinny girls as "unnatural" or anorexic.. But anyways I'm starting to go to the gym because my body is more willing to gain muscle than fat but I would like to know what I should eat to help gain healthy muscle and fats! I would like all things to be natural because naturally I'm supposed to be skinny and I'm not going to do something to my body that it wasn't naturally built for, ya know? Also since my metabolism is so high should I double my calorie intake? I'm trying to gain weight on my legs because that's the most self conscious part of my body and to the point where my thighs don't touch what exercises should I use for calves and thighs and of course my butt? So right now I'm 16 and I weigh 92 pounds barely throughout the week I'll lose for or five pounds and sometimes make it back up to 90 but basically I'm always in this range. Anyways, I hate being so skinny sometimes, people really point it out and I can never find pant sizes that really fit well and its so hard to find 00's now days. I've been really wanting to gain weight like within 1-2 months, but I don't know how? And I don't want it to be like stomach weight because I'm already self concious about my stomach, but I want to gain weight in my legs and thighs and butt along with my arms. Is there a way to do this? And I mean like good weight NOT fat!

Okay So I got my belly piercing in July and things were fine you know and at the end of july and early august it started crusting and swelling was gone and then I started noticing that the top navel piercing was sinking slowly and it was crusting around it all the time, then there was like a bruise like looking scar tissue just around the top hole and it was always crusted, so I would clean it and well now basically, it pretty much is right on top of my skin to the point the skin grows around it so when I pull it up theres a dent with like flesh showing, like moist red and around that a circular scar tissue surrounding it, and the bottom is fine but you can see the bar more, which I guess is normal because my sis has a lot of her bar showing and she's had hers for six years and I always measure the space in between the holes and they haven't changed but it has migrated like a few mm to the left but yesterday I hit my piercing really bad and its been hurting and now I see more of the bar and the piercing had been red but now its normal but whenever i accidentally hit it its red. SO BASICALLY I'm asking should I get a lighter piercing? A shorter barbell? To heal this? Cause I am small 5'3 90 pounds so it could be too heavy for me

My parents are indian parents. I'm currently sixteen and I just can't handle it anymore. If I don't get out I'm afraid I'm going to have a horrible breakdown or resort to bad decisions. Since I was 11 my parents have started abusing me. Emotionally they put me down all the time, called me ugly and such. Physically my mother once punched me in my head when she saw me playing video games at ten in the morning and kicked me repeatedly while I was crying on the floor. There were more incidents like that but it stopped around when I was 13. That's when I got more involved in my friends and spent the night and such and I was...happy, fully happy and free and it felt great! Then the summer before sophomore year came and my parents began restrictions. Like real horrible ones. First well first it was easy like be home at like midnight instead of one (I mean I understood I was like 15) but then no spending the night at my friends houses as much then it got worse like be home at 10 and you can only go out for two hours and even more so that now I can't spend the night anywhere and they hate my friends for some reason and won't let me spend the night there (its 2 miles away from us, and I've known them all since I was 11) They keep me inside, away from my friends now, my dad has gotten physical before and punched me and grabbed my hair and shook around my head.. I'm literally crying right now. Now they won't let me go see my friend who is going to college and spend the night, no reason just a no. I've been feeling so depressed lately, I'm a junior and they won't let me do anything yet expect me to have adult responsibilities with no down time. I'm on the brink of a massive breakdown, I'm already crying on random times. They won't hear me out when I talk to them, I'm nice to them and everything but I need to get emancipated before I completely lose it..

So basically I have my first audition in three years tomorrow. I've been playing violin since 4th, switched to viola at the ending of 7th, quit at the end of 8th, restarted at the end of my 10th grade year. I know now that I can't live without music I have a private teacher with a scholarship. Anyways since I'm just starting again I'm trying out for the concert orchestra rather than symphony and I'm freaking out. And I need two major scales that I can play but i'm not sure if I know any, can I have any links to a few easy ones ? And I don't know if I have to have it memorized!

I also have had only one day to prepare for this audition they gave me a late notice where other kids have known about it for a while, I have Gavotte from "mignon" which I don't know if I can play too well with these nerves i've been shakey and I sometimes slow on the flats, and my backup is bouree are these good choices? Which one should I stick to? Note that concert is easier for beginner to intermediate while symphony is intermediate to advanced..

So about a month ago I went to my highschool (open during summer) to checkout my AP US textbook and my AP psych books. The librarian basically told me I owed money since I didn't have The Life of Pi returned (15$) and I could not check out any books, so basically I will fail all my AP classes unless I pay this. Is this even allowed? My family's going through a hard time we can't pay the school back right now and I think it's unfair that I can't get books to do my summer homework.

I have a permit but I haven't been signed up for behind the wheel, I've had it for two months so does that mean that the amount of time I've had it does not count? Or does it mean the hours I have driven does not count? I know the hours don't count but now I'm confused whether me having the permit for two months so far counts or not. In the state of California
