So I live in San Jose California. I am a Mexican interested in film, or possibly designing video games as a backup. Primarily interested in majoring in film though. My parents made 92,873 last year , but this is because my mom made a lot of overtime money last year so it should drop to something lower this year. I have a 3.7 unweighted gap, I passed 4 ap tests, and got a's for all of them except one semester when i got a b+ for one class. Sat score of 1760.

I am currently interested in applying to uc Berkeley , UCLA, uc Santa Cruz , CSU long beach , USC, and lmu . Also the academy of art university in San fransisco.

Been a dumb *** and didn't talk about college with my parents before. Don't really know tuition stuff other than what I've been looking at lately but I'm confused as to how much financial aid i should be expecting to maybe get, and in general i am confused as **** as to what I should tell my parents. i have been racking my brains on the personal statement lately and just a few minutes ago my dad told me he'd only help for something local like San Jose state which is not what I want to do. Please just give me advice I do not want to let all my hard work go to waste.

i don't even have a credit card so this isn't for me or anyone I know haha

I am merely genuinely curious. Does your family inherit your debt? Do companies like Visa or master card lose money? Is there some kind of policy?

I would probably mostly play shooters like battlefield 3, but i am also interested in playing skyrim and heck even games like crysis if possible. I will likely build a pc for that later on when I get a job (i am 16) but for now i just really need to be able to play d3.

when i got my vita i noticed the right trigger was sort of stuck and it is a minor annoyance. i ignored it. since then i have noticed the right analog stick is kind of wanky and also feels like it is a little stuck. after spending the day playing the vita for an actually long period of time (the whole charge pretty much) i can't stand it anymore(both the trigger and the analog).

can i exchange it because of that? (gamestop) it says on the receipt that there is a 30 day exchange period or something

Not for me i have my own opinions, but i really want to help my little sister out (she is 13) with buying a handheld. I am not too familiar with the types of games girls go more for but i do know she really is digging the ps vita (i have one) because of littlebigplanet alone and although i prefer the vita to the 3ds I also am well aware that the system is more focused on games she wouldn't like such as ninja gaiden, uncharted, etc. but also that the psn store exists and their are plenty of things she can get from there on her vita to enjoy it more like psp titles, minis, and other downloads and that the vita will only get better over time when it comes to these things. i know the pluses the 3ds has but it is a lot more casual and most of the games are not interesting, or appealing to me, or my sister (i have shown her a bunch on youtube).

so basically I would like to hear from you all giving your opinions/ recommendations and mention things like games that are out on the 3ds and what is coming out/ is out for the vita(including downloads and stuff).

please spend the time to help with all 4 because i really don't know where else to turn. I am counting on you guys because although i have been trying stuff out i just don't get it (all work i know i put)

so the first step is to do (x+3i)(x-3i) [right?] and you get x^2-9 and then you divide x^4-2x^3+10x^2-18x+9 by that right?

So i have not been able to connect to the internet for a while, i have ignored the problem and can no longer due so because i desperately need to use the desktop. I have a laptop(what i am using now, borrowed) and can connect to the internet fine wirelessly, but on my desktop (what i want to fix) i can not connect to a network. I know that the ethernet cable is connected to the modem (2wire , at&t) and the desktop, but when i try to find a network in network and sharing center it says windows cannot find any networks. It worked fine before but it just stopped working all of a sudden. I am using windows vista and the desktop is an hp pavilion a2600n pc.

should i call gamestop and explain to them the situation, because i assumed the bonus came inside the game or was on the receipt or something(referring to the physical warfare pack)

So i am surfing the internet and just doing whatever and then it takes me to a blue screen with a bunch of instructions like " if this is your first time.." and " if it isn't uninstall..." . * Interestingly enough My computer stopped in the middle of me typing this up and i had to restart*. It usually takes a couple of restarts to get a session in, and many times it won't even start so I am pretty sure something is definitely wrong. I don't know what to do but i will mention that I have noticed some changes to my computer like certain things won't open until I right click and click open, or when i open up my browser it freezes and doesn't unfreeze and from there the whole pc begins to freeze and I restart a couple of times. This is incredibly annoying and I want some help, I will answer any questions I can so if you can't answer here because of me being incredibly general please send me emails or something because this is a very serious issue.

So how did this happen? What can i do about it? any general thoughts or info you can share with me about this

ok so i am stuck on a couple of problems and just wanted some help on

134. squareroot of x+5 = squareroot of x-5

139 3x(x-1)^1/2 +2(x-1)^3/2=0

145. x=3/x + 1/2

146. 4x+1=3/x

so for our first semester final we did an essay on the books we read which were from the theme/thread of satire. for our second semester we have to write about a common thread in these books

ok so the chemistry demonstation is the combustion of magnesium in carbon dioxide( dry ice to be specific)

so we get two blocks of dry ice and in one we make a cavity and then place the magnesium into that cavity set it on fire with a bunsen burner and then when it goes off place the other piece of dry ice over the one with the cavity and sandwitching them basically.

1. if the reaction is so intense and its 2000+ degrees C why doesn't it melt the block?

2. why is it if you put dry ice into a beaker and get a wooden splint lit on fire and attempt to light the dry ice the fire would be put out before it even makes contact?

3. why if you touch the dry ice on the table with a dime/ quarter it moves around and reacts

4. are there any words in the explanations of these things that are probably in need of explaining? in other words things a teacher would ask and expect us to know like sublimation for example (or anything you could just add for referance

So i bought a used iPod touch 64 gb (supposedly 4g) because i thought i was saving a heap of money so i rushed into it and found it it isn't even 4th gen. It has a camera on it but it's more in the center up at the top, not in the corner like the 4th gen, and it doesn't have a camera for face time. So i looked up this oddity and came to the vague conclusion it is some type of modded ipod and that i would be better off getting my money back. I am trying to do this without my family knowing to avoid the "you are stupid" remarks so keep that in mind.

I think my options are

A: ask the guy for a refund (very dicey although it does have a chance of working so i might try this)

B:try reselling it on Craigslist or something

C: put up with it because it work just no ipod touch 4g
