My girlfriends mother owns a casino in China and has to always be on the floor overseeing it. However almost everyone who is in the casino smokes. She is a non-smoker herself but has started to develop a cough due probably to the second-hand smoke.

I was wondering if there is some sort of air purifier or air cleaning device out there. Or if anyone knew some ways to reduce the amount of smoke she is inhaling.

I suppose she could step out for a few minutes every hour but would that really help?

I'm a horrible cook and want to make dinner for my girlfriend tonight. I have a recipe for mashed potatoes from a friend that I know she will like, what else can I do to accompany this dish?

What are some of the major cultural differences between these 2 countries as you have observed either directly or indirectly.

Like toilets that are just a whole in the ground.

Or, people spitting or expelling snot everywhere.

Reason I ask is I moved to China and want to know what to expect when I travel around.

I've tried a few online translation services to translate a document I have in Latin I need for work. But I haven't found any that make sense!

Would you recommend hiring somebody to translate this or are there other ways this can be done?

I moved to China 6 months ago for a one year contract and the women out here love me they all think I'm insanely handsome. In Canada I was thought as good looking but not to this extreme!
