  • Why is "The Sound of Music" considered a christmas movie?

It's always baffled me, why they would choose this one as a Christmas film. Christmas does not happen in the film (it takes place in summer and fall), though I think it does in one of the previous German films.

The film premiered on March 2 1965, not any where near Christmas. And I think the only thing it has to do with Christmas is this one promo photo they shot for it.

Plus Maria is leaving the convent...so? How was it decided that this movie that has nothing to do with Christmas become a Christmas movie? And a song "My Favorite Things" that also has nothing to do with Christmas become a Christmas song?

This has always bugged me and I've asked why but many people don't seem to know why. Isn't that kind of strange don't you think?

  • Can I connect my virgin mobile super slice phone to my computer?

I just bought this new virgin mobile super slice and it has a small usb port on the right side. I was wondering if I could get a connector so I would be able to connect to my computer and transfer pictures and songs. I've checked all over the net and all it says is that it has bluetooth but it doesn't say anything about connecting the phone up to a device using a usb connector.

  • Looking for a Title to a Japanese Horror Film?

A present day man travels from Tokyo and ends up stuck in a remote village. Where he stays with a family with some odd traditions. They keep the watch of the ashes of their ancestors; otherwise they will escape and attack people. Which is of course what happens.

The man that travels to the village becomes romantically involved with woman's who's job it is to keep the ancestors happy. As it turns out that the woman has a secret past, she'd been romantically involved with her brother and had gotten pregnant. Her family ashamed had her baby killed after it was born. Only it turns out that the baby was switched by one of the nurses by a still born baby and allowed to live. As it turns out that baby is currently the man she's romantically involved with. And finds out she is pregnant with his baby. It also turns out that mixed family blood is what's causing the ancestors to come to life and attack people.

  • Looking for an episode name of "The Golden Girls"?

I'm looking for a specific episode of "The Golden Girls". The episode; I'm looking for has Sophia and Dorothy dressed as Sonny & Cher singing "I got you, babe." I believe they were competing in a mother daughter contest. I have no idea what season it's from, however I do believe it is not from the first season.

I've been looking for it for a long time, and still haven't found it. If anyone could tell me the episode name, that would be great. I have TiVo, so I only need the name of the episode.

  • Why do dogs push their food dish around?

For some reason my dog pushes her food dish around. I once noticed that when she was done pushing her dish around it was facing a certain way, so I took note of it and the next night when I feed her I moved the dish into that position, but she still moved it.

She's moved it in different directions of the kitchen, under the table, towards the middle of the room and even down the back steps (that was quite funny). Nothing seems to be the same about how she moves it, just that she moves the dish and not the actual food inside of it.

So does anyone have any ideas?

  • Why does my dog act so strange?

For instance I come home from work she runs right up to me wagging her tail, rubs her face on me and is really happy to see me. After a few seconds of that she runs away in an angry huff growling at me. And Vice Versa!

Say I come up to see her, she sees me and starts to growl and snarl at me, runs away for a few seconds then comes right back up to me wagging her tail and putting her head down to my legs like she wants some attention.

Also she growls viciously at me like she wants to bite me but sometimes she'll be wagging her tail while she does this. I realize this could me she wants to play - but her growling seems too vicious to me.

I've tried to look in books about Cocker Spaniels but none of them have told me anything about why she behaves this way. Does anyone have any ideas as to why she does these things?
