  • Does a PCIe 3.0 card work with PCi 2.0?

I recently asked if my motherboard ASUSTek-M4A88TD-M/USB3 is compatible with a Gigabyte Radeon 3G HD7950 video card. I got some mixed and rather confusing answers. I found out that the card is a PCIe 3.0 card and my motherboard supports:

    1x PCIe 2.0x16

    2xPCIe 2.0 x1

    1x PCIe

I've also got an 650W psu.

I'd appreciate any help I can get.

    Thanks

Budget $350-$370 or $400 incl. postage.

Would someone be able to list a few, plz.

    System specs:

AMD Phenom Quad Core 3.4 GHz

    650W Power Supply

    8GB RAM

    Thanks

  • Which graphics/video card should I choose?

I'd like to upgrade my graphics card since my old Nvidia GeForce 210 really depresses me (can't do anything with it).

Obviously I'm looking for awesome gaming performance and great graphics.

I'd like to play stuff like Skyrim, Just Cause 2, GTA4 and hopefully next year GTA5(you get the picture)

    and more recent games in that category at high or even max if possible. Only thing is I'm on a real budget at the moment, $300-400;

Could someone name some cards that would be worth looking at, in this price range.

    I'd appreciate your help. Cheers

    BTW:

    650W power supply

    Win 7 64 bit

    AMD Phenom Quad Core 3.4GHz

    8GB RAM
