How much of a salary goes towards dental and vision insurance coverage? Is it included in healthcare benefits?
I'm writing a paper and having a hard time finding articles that tell me what percentage (or how much money) is taken from the average salary to cover vision and dental. Please help!

My mom and I are considering taking a trip to Delhi, Agra, and Raipur during early April or late March. I want to avoid Holi (which is March 23-24) but I also want to know when is the best climate to go. I definitely don t want to go in the rainy season or winter.

I was wondering what are some average salaries for a Head Start lead teacher? Particularly if you have information about the state of Maryland that would be great!
2 AnswersTeaching7 years agoTips for managing job related stress?
I have a new job that I've been at for about 2 months. I manage several group residences for people with disabilities and enjoy a rotating 24hour on call responsibility. I usually love work but this job is very overwhelming for me. I don't procrastinate and I always plan ahead and keep a plan b. But somehow this job always seems to win with its chaos.
The stress is getting to the point where its affecting me physically. My skin is breaking out, my acid reflux is going crazy, I can't keep my emotions under control, and all I want to do is sleep.
I've had problems with anxiety in the past but I've had it under control for years now and I really don't want to try medication again. I'm curious, does anyone have any tips for managing job related stress. If I can't figure out how to get this under control I may have to resign. It's affecting me that badly...
4 AnswersMental Health7 years agoDoes you have to be paid for "overtime"? Or receive comp time?
I just started a new full time job. I was told the hours would be 8am-4pm - 40 hours a week. I've often had to work overtime for various reasons outside my control. My position is salaried, non contractual. And it is with a very large non profit.
Today I got to work at 8 to get paperwork to meet a staff member to exchange paperwork. I worked throughout the day and then had an appointment at 4pm. The other staff was late to the appointment and I didn't leave until 6:30pm. Thats a 10 1/2 hour day.
My supervisor is new to her position. When I asked if I could leave a little early on friday to even out my time so that it is not over 40 hours, she said no. She said I have to be at the office for a minimum of 8 hours and that she works overtime all the time and it doesn't matter.
I think this has to be wrong. Can anyone give me advice on what to do? Or does anyone have any knowledge of whether this is legal or not?
3 AnswersGovernment & Non-Profit7 years agoDo any other teachers become sad to leave their students?
I was a preschool teacher for a year. I have worked with children for 4 years. I left my job to pursue my masters degree. On my last day of teaching I was so sad to be leaving that I cried. As my favorite kids mom hugged me I cried more. I am overall happy with my decision to return to school but I do really miss my kids and their families.
Do any other teachers have similar experiences? My boyfriend thinks its incredibly weird that I can miss/love other people's children lol
1 AnswerTeaching7 years agoShould I be worried that my bf doesn't get along with his parents? Especially his mother?
I've always been taught that you can tell if a man is a good man by how he treats his mother. Unfortunately my boyfriend is not close to his parents. He actually hasn't spoken to them in a little over 5months and they live about a 9 hour drive away.
All through pre adolescence and adolescence my bf lived with an aunt and uncle as his parents thought he would get a better education in their state. So I guess they were never close.
Although he doesn't get along with his parents, he gets along with his sisters. And he gets along with my parent AMAZINGLY. He enjoys spending time with them, doesn't mind buying them birthday gifts, will text them, etc. Its as if my family has adopted him. However, its still really bothering me that he stubbornly won't try to make a positive relationship with his own parent.
Should I be really worried about this? Is this a bad sign?
1 AnswerFamily7 years agoHow do I convince my bf that adequate sleep is important?
My boyfriend said he gets enough sleep and is not sleepy during the day but I know he needs more.
He goes to sleep around 11 and struggles to wake up at 5am. He is often late for work because he sleeps through his alarms. There are times he becomes easily irritated. And he has a lot of stress and anxiety. Its even starting to affect us in the bedroom.
How can I get him to see that getting more sleep is very important!?
3 AnswersMen's Health7 years agoWhat is it like to attend a Christian university?
I am thinking about attending a particular Christian university for my Masters degree. I am a little nervous about how classes will be. I was wondering if I could hear some opinions (both good and bad) from those who have attended a Christian college. I'm going for a masters in Human Services (similar to Social Work) and I have a pretty liberal opinion. I guess I'm a little nervous that class discussions could get very awkward...

My boyfriend and I were considering going to Cancun, Mexico in September. I understand that is part of hurricane season but what I really want to know is if there is no hurricane, how much can I expect it to rain?
Is the rain everyday for a brief period? Or an all day everyday kind of thing?

2 AnswersEthnic Cuisine7 years agoIn need of unbias friendship advice!?
My best friend and I have known each other for almost 12 years. We used to be extremely close but then began to grow apart. She is also a big procrastinator so she left her work to the last minute and cancelled our plans a lot. We started seeing each other only about every other month (sometimes less) during college. The final straw was when she met a guy she became obsessed with and asked me for advice all the time ---which would've been fine except for the fact that talking about this guy was the ONLY thing we ever talked about. We barely had a friendship outside of talking about this guy. And after she ended things with him, we barely talked at all (we talked maybe once or twice a month usually initiated by me). On top of this, we have grown into different people and her general comments sometimes piss me off.
So I guess I got sick of it. I told her if we were going to continue to be friends we needed to reconnect and she needed to put in more effort. And she is. She REALLY is. Almost desperately so. But now I feel bad because I think that I'm kind of over the friendship due to the last 1-2 years of neglect...
Am I being a cold person? Should I give the friendship another chance or what? On one hand I don't want to throw away a 12 year friendship but on the other hand I feel like this has been a long time coming...

2 AnswersPreschool8 years agoWhat could be the cause of it being harder to get a key in a door lock?
The front door (both the knob lock and the dead bolt) have been working funny since sometime yesterday. It is harder to get our keys in the lock.
It has been raining for the past three days, could this be the cause? Although I do believe the lock is stainless steel. Or is this more likely to be rust or tampering?
Thanks!
7 AnswersOther - Home & Garden8 years agoNeed advice: Should I stay at my current job? If I leave, how do I tell my boss? Please help!?
I am a preschool teacher and I get paid very little (so little that I am not even salaried). I love the children I work with but I really want a job that makes more money. I am not struggling financially as I am a recent college grad (who luckily didnt have to take out loans!) and I don't have to pay rent because I am living at home. But my long time bf and I would like to get engaged soon so I would be needing a better paying job.
I have applied to several jobs and am getting some call backs! But now I am reluctant to leave my preschool job. I have only been there 4 months and many of the children in my class have special needs. I would feel awkward about telling my boss that I want to leave so soon especially since they spent time and money training me. I would also feel bad about leaving such a needy class in the beginning of a new school year. I know if I left my boss would have to scramble to find a replacement. I don't want to put them in a bad situation nor do I want to leave the kids in a bad way... but I really want a salaried job!!
Some people tell me that I should leave because it is the best for my life and my relationships. Others say I should stay. I am so unsure and need an un-bias opinion!
If I do leave, how should I tell my boss? And what should I say to take off work for interviews?
3 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment8 years agoWhat more specific themes could I use for the broader preschool theme of "all about me"?
This months theme at my preschool is "All About Me". What more specific themes can I use within that theme to plan curriculum for the week? Some of the more specific themes that have already been used are : my body, my family, and the five senses. I'd be really grateful if someone could help me think of some more!
