  • Help with Algebra 2 problem, please...not sure if I did it right! Thanks!?

    While Don is grounded his friend Joe brings him a video game. Don stands at his bedroom window, & Joe stands directly below the window. If Joe throws the game to Don with an initial velocity of 35 feet per second, an equation for the height "h" feet of the game after "t" seconds is:

    h = -16t^2 + 35t + 5.

    a. If the window is 25 feet above the ground, will Don have 0,1, or 2 chances to catch the game?

    b. If Don is unable to catch the game, when will it hit the ground?

  • Are these average attorney fees in North Carolina?

    My Dad lived in North Carolina & passed away January 2010. He had a will & I was left Executrix & sole heir to all of his personal belongings. I was told by the attorney that did his will that because I live in West Virginia, I had to have an "agent" from NC represent me...an attorney. So, never having dealt with anything of this sort before, I hired the same attorney who drew up Dad's Will. I was told the fee was $200 an hour with a minimum of $750.00 & that the average Will runs about $1000. Well, I asked for a statement of what my fees are so far & it is over $2200! There was nothing complicated about Dad's Will...it was all pretty "cut & dry". I was charged for every email I sent to them & every one they sent to me...the minimum charge was $20 @ email...same with phone calls...every one I made to them or they made to me. I was not aware that I would be charged for each email I sent or phone call I made or I would have been more careful as to how "important" each email was. It just seems to me that $2200.00 (and this is NOT the final bill) is a little much for such a simple estate. There was not alot of actual "cash" in the estate...less than $3000...the rest were personal items...a vehicle, some guns, & fishing equipment, a lawn tractor & personal belongings that had no real "cash" value...just sentimental. Am I being over-charged?

    Oh, and what really kind of ticks me off is...I have yet to actually "meet" or even speak with this attorney...all my dealings have been with his paralegal.

  • Is a broken tooth a chemical or physical change?

    I'm thinking it is chemical because it is no longer "living" but, on the other hand, I guess it could be physical because nothing really has changed except that it is no longer attached. Please help...thanks so much!
