Don't get me wrong. I think the people who want to carry out these burnings are fools. It will accomplish nothing and is extremely disrespectful. I am just curious to see if the libs were so vocal about defending Christians and their sacred symbols as they are now about the Qur'an. And if not, then why?

I respect the right of these people to burn the Qur'an because of free speech, but I don't necessarily want them to do it. I think its disrespectful and doesn't really accomplish anything. However, my biggest issue is that the I have a feeling that the Left would not be coming down so hard on members of a mosque who were going to publicly burn a Bible. Is that because Christians, even "radical" ones, do not traditionally strap on explosive vests in response to such actions? Thoughts?

If that was truly based on principle and not political game playing, then why isn't Obama bearing some responsibility for the bumbling response to the oil leak in your eyes?

Especially when he hasn't even read the law (all 10 pages) and is not even familiar with what's in it (by his own admission yesterday).

He said that "every bill that lands on my desk will be posted for 5 days before signing." Why isn't he holding to that promise? I'm not trying to attack, I am just wondering why he isn't following through. Is there a good reason?

They are going to their home districts/states trying to sell their constituents on this health plan. Shouldn't they simply be listening to what their constituents say and then go back to DC and carry out their will. When did our members of Congress become used car salesmen instead of public servants?

I am so sick of hearing this. Olberman's show had this tool of an editor from Daily Kos, Waldman, on tonight. He said Republicans are either crazy or racist. Give me a break. I would whole heartedly support any race/gender President if I thought they were doing the right thing, but he is not! This administration is corrupt, out of their depth, and just an all around mess. That has nothing to do with race. It has to do with common sense and a sense of right and wrong. Are libs and this President so weak and fragile that they have to try and discredit ANY voice that criticizes? If so, should they really be in charge of governing a high school student council, let alone the last world power? And before you throw around the racist label at me, answer the question libs!

I guess my biggest worry is that she means the government should be the one taking the inventory. If she's talking about personal responsibility and doing your part, that's one thing. then how can a state pass any law denying the "right to marriage" to any US citizen? Right now, state laws prohibit brothers and sisters, mothers and sons, and adults and minors from marrying. So why doesn't the "right to marriage" that you imply is guaranteed in the 9th amendment apply to those situations as well?
