I recently bought a complete season of one of my favorite tv shows. The first three disc work fine in my laptop. The fourth disc however won't work. For some reason my laptop won't detect the fourth disc when it's in the CD drive. The Autoplay menu never pop up or anything. With the fourth disc in, the drive sounds as if it's having a hard time spinning.

Does anyone know what would cause this and if I could fix it myself?

The only thing I've tried is restarting the computer.

I'm having a problem with my laptop battery.

For some reason, if my laptop battery is in my laptop at ANY time; it won't stay on.

For example: If I turn the laptop off and insert the battery [without the powercord in] and then hit the power button, the laptop will only stay on for about 5 seconds. At first I thought the battery wasn't charging anymore and was just dead. However, even if the power cord is plugged in and the battery in as well; it will still only stay on for about 5secs when I turn it on. The only thing that will make the laptop stay on normally is if I power it only through the powercord without the battery in at the same time. So, basically my laptop won't work stay on under ANY circumstance if the battery is in. Even if it's being powered through the cord. Is this something to do more with battery on the laptop itself?

Is something I can fix?

On the 24th of October, my aunt picked up a voter registration form for me at either the DMV or the Department of Mental Health building. I filled it out on the 25th and she returned it for me while I was at workon the same day. Since then I've been checking my states voter website to see if I'm registered yet. For whatever reason, I'm still not in the database. The site always says that it has no records of me.

Am I checking too soon?

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to be placed in the registered voter database?

I figured I'd ask here before calling the Voter office.

Let's say you work in a small store. Someone walks in and your greet them with, "Hi " or "Hello" and they don't bother with responding. Not even a look of acknowledgment. You know they heard you. How would that make you feel and would it make you treat them any differently than you would the nicer customers?

I'm trying to burn a CD R to use in my van. I had burned 2 CDs earlier; 1in iTunes & 1 in Windows Media Player. For whatever reason neither disk would work in my van. My car is an old Caravan. Someone told me to use Roxio & to use the "Create Audio CD for Car or Home CD player" option. So, I have a question. Using Roxio & the option above, what settings should I use to make the CD R disk usable in my car?

What should my conversion settings be?: AC3, FLAC, MP3, MP3 VBR, OGG, WMA, or WAV

Should I use the "Normalize Tracks" option?

My sisters bank took out their monthly service fee & it sent her account into the negative. Will she acquire an overdraft fee for this if it's by way of the banks monthly fee charge? She keeps saying that they don't give you an overdraft fee if it's the banks monthly fee that sends it into the negative. Will it just stay in the negative until she pays the negative balance?

I'm really awkward at these kinds of situations. What would you do?

My isp sent me an email saying that Copyright Enforcement Group is claiming the my internet connection was used to download some kind of copyrighted porn. It's 2 separate cases for the same movie. I have until April 24th [Today] & the 26th to pay $200 for each on copyrightsettlements.com. My internet is connected to a clothing store I work in. The only thing my internet is used for is ordering more merchandise & occasional checking of email. So, obviously these people are crazy. But, what should I do? The letter says that I can pay a small out of court fee [the $200 each]. But, if I don't pay the case could be referred to a lawyer. Has one else been asked to pay something like this? If so, has one who didn't pay gone over their due date yet? For those who have gone over their due date, have you encountered anything else from any of the companies trying to get the money out of you?

I have a Nikon Coolpix S205 and I seem to have a problem charging it. I went on vacation about 2 days ago and the camera was working fine. But, my charging/transfer cord got left at home and the battery eventually went dead. Meaning every time you turn it on, a gray screen will pop up saying "Battery Exhausted". Anyway, later one of my sister tell my she saw one of my younger sisters playing the camera. She would turn it on and it would say "battery exhausted" and then the camera would shut off by itself. I really don't know how many times she did this. She's 6 yrs old and bored so I'm guessing alot of times. After returning home I found my transfer/charging cord & plugged in the camera to the computer to charge it. It wouldn't charge though. At first I thought something was wrong with my cord. But, I tried another cord and ended up with the same results. While it's plugged in, every few seconds it makes that bump/beep like noise that the computer makes when you plug in a USB device. As if I'm unplugging and plugging in the USB cord over and over. Also, if I remember correctly the green light on the camera is supposed to be a steady green. Instead it's blinking. While the camera was plugged in I took the battery out and the noise stopped. So, is it definitely something with the battery? If it is, is there some way I can fix it before going out and buying another battery?
