What might be a cause and/or reason for this? I'm having a blood test tomorrow and would like to be a little more informed when I go. Thanks in advance.

21 AnswersConservation1 decade agoBenefit advice needed please?
My Employment Support Allowance (£62.20 per week) has been withdrawn following a 30 minute visit from a doctor. The letter states that it will not be possible for me to claim Job Seekers Allowance as I have not made enough National Insurance contributions (following a long period of illness). I am now 'living' on an overdraft facility.
Will my Council Tax Benefit now be withdrawn? I don't get Housing Benefit because I live a place owned by my son and so it has been considered that he should support me. Is there a charity who can help with basic living costs? Unemployment rates are high in this area, though I have been looking for work. I'm just worried that after a long period of illness, it will all go wrong again. Your constructive help would be appreciated. People sending replies saying 'I hope you die' would not be appreciated. Thanks in anticipation of some sound advice.

6 years ago I hd breast cancer, had a lumpectomy, lymph nodes removed & then radio therapy. Three months ago I found a small, hard, immovable lump at the base of the fifth finger on my left hand - same side as the cancer. The arm in genral bothers me now and then - pins and needles, aching, but nothing seriously painful.
I forgot about the lump in my finger, but lately it's bothered me - it tingles, makes my hand ache sometimes & is getting bigger. The lump feels as though it's connected to the bone in my hand. Does anyone have medical knowledge regarding secondary cancers? It could just be that I'm getting old!

4 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoI was just "assessed" by an ATOS Dr whose report on me will affect my entitlement to benefits?
I asked for a copy of her report and was sent the following ...
Dear Ms ......
Thank you for your email below.
I would like to explain that there is no requirement for the doctor to show a customer what has been recorded in the ESA 85 medical report or any need to have the information verified by the customer or their GP. The completed report is sent to the Decision Maker that the Department for Work and Pensions to assist them in their decision making process. You can request a copy of the report from the office dealing with your benefit claim.

Is this right? Can a complete stranger spend 35 minutes in your home and make a full assessment of your care/support needs, then write what she likes without any 'challenge' to her report?
