my car has an automatic transmission with "L, 1, 2, and 3". i was wondering if using them sequentially would cause any trouble on the transmission. ex: starting on L then moving the shift to 2 and then 3.

Iam 18 going to college and have a part time job, and i want a bike because it would save me so much gas and plus the looks are awesome. My parents DO NOT want to let me buy one because they say that it is too dangerous (which i agree) but ultimately it comes down to the driver itself. Iam willing to take classes and everything but they still wont let me i've tried everything. I've told them how much i would save because i already onw a car but iam using it too much to go to college everyday and go to work and then to go out on the weekends..its putting to much miles on it, on long term it will save alot of money and possible maintance, and even told them that i would not buy a car that i wanted to buy which costs well over 50Gs but still...I COULD go buy it on my own but i just want them to be ok with it, any ideas anyone?

This incident happend to my friend at work yesterday, he was cleaning the lobby and found a wallet and there was nobody nearby to see him so he took it. I didnt believe it until i saw it and he did have it! the wallet had probably over $1000 in cash, not to mention all the credit cards...i told him to keep it but then the owner came back and he gave it back to him. So my question is, would you have kept it or would u have given it back to the owner? I know this sounds wrong but i would've kept it, i mean in this times money is very short and if the owner had those huge amounts of money just lying there in a wallet he could very well have even more saved in a bank so he probably wouldnt feel much loss...i know its wrong but its just very tempting...

My dog is limping from its back left leg, i was playing with him on the bed he was jumping around and on one jump when he fell to the bed he started crying for like 5 to 10 secs then he wouldnt let his leg on the ground :/ i checked if maybe he broke a bone or something but he still uses it when he stands up or walks, he just picks it up when hes just standing there..is it something serious, or will it go away ?

Hi iam new to paintball, i've played it before but never really owned a marker until now and i really dont know the basics of what should be the proper and basic ways to give it maintenance. I bought the rap4 t68 m4 marker so i know this makes it even more complicated i think. I just want to know the most "basic" things to clean and stuff, any other tips are greatly appreciated, thanks

Just wondering if it does some real damage to an engine or it doesnt do anything at all

So me and some buddies went to this old (and i mean old) church and we decided to film inside, we never saw anything abnormal when we where there except we did hear a girl cry at a considerable distance. (we were literally in the middle of nowhere). HOWEVER after carefully revising the video we noticed some abnormalities, like two red eye/like dots floating, and a misterious face of what it looks like kid or an elder suddenly appear and dissapear in a window. i really believe this video should be examined by an expert and maybe broadcast it because it really clearly shows some sort of spirit or ghost. who or where should i contact for them to examine my video and prove its validness? anyone know?

I've checked the coolant levels and they are always full and yet sometimes when iam on the highway my car temperature slightly starts going up until it reaches 3/4 of the gauge. when i see the temperature that high i stop pressing on the accelerator and it goes back to normal temperature again. anyone knows what might be the problem iam completely confused and it isnt the radiator either both fans run perfectly fine..i have no idea whats wrong. car info : 2001 mitsubishi eclipse rs 2.4L

So i've been doing a little research for NOS on cars and i do want to get my eclipse to run a little faster but unfortunatly i dont have the huge loads of cash for a turbo so instead iam leaning towards NOS. Anyone recomend this upgrade? About how much will end up spending (product and professional installation, etc...) i saw here and there that those things can kill your engine but iam not planning on gaing 100hp i just want at the most 50 or 70hp. thanks in advance

So i had this little problem for a while, when i turn on the A/C the fan kicks in and in about two seconds it shuts off, it takes like 5 to 10 seconds and goes on again and then off. And also when iam going high speed the fans are supposedd to cool down the engine but obviously they dont because the temerature starts to rise in a slow but steady manner until i slow down then it goes back to the middle of the guage again. anyone know what might be the problem? or should i just buy a new one?

If not what other solution can i use that i can find around the house, thanks :)

So i was jogging around my neighborhood and some dogs came out of nowhere barking and stuff and i was like "crap" so i stopped and threw rocks at them but they wouldnt go away so i just kept on running and they run faster towards me, so i stopped and they stopped. so instead i ran towards them and they ran away lol why are dogs like that? any particular reasons?

I installed a set of 4 18' inch chrome MB Design CLS rims with Z rated tires and i noticed that when iam running on high speeds (70-100mph) the temperature gauge stick goes close to hitting 3/4 of the gauge...this didnt happen when i had the stock tires but my guess is that it the rims are heavy and it is putting more stress on the engine to speed up because it is not a big engine its a V4 2.4L everything stock except for exhaust. Are the rims causing the problem or is it that i need a engine or is it another problem? The car is an 01 Eclipse RS with 79K miles if that helps. Much appreciated

I have an HP Laptop dv7-1285dx series and i have it since like january and a couple of hours ago i plugged the charger in because the battery was low (9%) so after like 30 mins passed by i didnt notice that the battery was still at 9% so i checked and it said "plugged in, not charging" so then i checked the battery with the battery check and it said i needed a new one...and right now i saw it was charging and i checked the battery again and it said that it is in good condition? So i was like ok maybe it was just a mistake and right now as i type it says again that it is not charging! what is wrong anyone had this problem??

I was just racing my car a couple hours later and then when i was going back home when i stepped on the gas kinda hard the gauge went a little bit high than the middle of the gauge. when i slowed down it went back to normal. i pretty sure its because i used the engine to its max power but i just want to know if its going to be this way forever or is this just happend because i did that today and it will go aaway tomorrow.

NOTE: this was the firt time i used its engine to the max

Really what is the main reason for having a boyfriend or girlfrind AT YOUNG AGES (13-19). Is it really necessary? Why do you have (if you have) a bf/gf? haha idk this is just one of super random questions that poped to my head today

just a little survey here, for those who might not know...:

farsighted = you can see things clear from far away but see blurry or cant focus on things that are too close

nearsighted = you can see things great at very close distance but blurry at long distances

so are you farsighted or nearsighted?

Its weird to explain but i dont know how i can do it but i can blur my vision on purpose whenever i want to and how blurry i can do it to the point that i cant even see the palms of my hands. i dont do it often but iam just wondering if it is bad to do that, also how common is it for people to have the ability to do that?
