  • Can someone help me with this matrix problem?

Tickets for a concert were sold in three categories:

adult, child, and senior citizen. For each

type, the number of tickets sold for the three performances

is shown in the matrix (supposed to be a 3x3 matrix). The box office

receipts were $2715 for Friday, $2613 for Saturday,

and $2412 for Sunday. Find the cost of each type of ticket.

  • Can someone help me with this Physics homework (Force, Energy, and Work)?

A box of unknown mass is sliding with an initial speed

    vi = 4.00 m/s

across a horizontal frictionless warehouse floor when it encounters a rough section of flooring

    d = 3.80 m

long. The coefficient of kinetic friction between the rough section of flooring and the box is 0.100. Using energy considerations, determine the final speed of the box after sliding across the rough section of flooring.

  • How to get into my school's network?

Before anyone tells me this is illegal and ****, I have a proper reason.

I'm in web design class, and part of our classwork is to maintain the school's website. One of the students managed to get into the network and mess with the password, so nobody could get in. He also changed the school's website (mostly messing with the words on it and what the announcements were and such). My teacher, along with the class, managed to fix everything, and that student was expelled.

The principal wants to make sure nothing like that happens again, so in addition to warning the students, he asked our class to try and get into the network again (the school has already improved the network, though they haven't disclosed how). How can I get in?

  • Can anyone tell me something about this gaming mouse/brand?

It's a Sentey Revolution Pro. I've been looking into getting a new mouse for a while, and I found this one. It's on sale now, so I figured it was worth buying it right now. The problem is, I don't know much about this brand, so I can't be sure it's to be trusted. Can anyone tell me if Sentey makes quality products? Or if you have this mouse, can you tell me what your experience has been like?

  • What's the name of this phenomenon/effect? Is it stage fright?

Let's say there's something you know a lot about; anything you want. Then you're asked about it, and you suddenly forget about it? For example, you know nearly all of the countries in the word, but when asked or taking a quiz on them, you forget most of them.

Is this even a phenomenon/effect? I'm asking because I've called it "Spotlight Effect" for years, but it turns out that's something else.

  • For a gaming laptop: 15.6" or 17.3"?

I am currently looking for a good gaming laptop, and have recently found the one I need with the exact specs I was looking for. Now it comes down to the screen size. Should I buy a 15.6" like the one I have right now? Or should I pay the same for the 17.6"? The main purpose of the computer would be gaming, but I'll also need it for homework and such (I'm in college).

  • You hold your physics textbook in your hand (assume no other object is in contact with the book). Help with physics?

    (a) Identify the forces acting on the book.

book on hand (Y or N?)

hand on book (Y or N?)

floor on book (Y or N?)

earth on book (Y or N?)

    (b) For each force you identified in part (a), indicate the direction. (If a force is not applicable, choose NA.)

book on hand: up, down, or NA?

    (c) Identify the forces acting on your hand.

  • How many lockers were closed (full question below)?

There is 500 lockers and 500 people. The first student goes and closes them all. The second student goes and opens one every other (2,4,6,8,etc.). The third student goes and opens every three and if it's open it closes. The fourth student does the same every four and the same for the rest. How many lockers were closed?

I don't want the answer, I just want to know how to solve it. I think I need to use a sigma equation, but I'm not sure.

  • Is there a way to remember what was in a USB flash drive?

So I recently lost a USB flash drive where I had pretty much all of my notes and work. I forgot to make a back-up of it, so now I'm stuck. I'm still looking for it, but I'd like to know something in the meantime: is there a way to see what was in a recently installed flash drive? Something like a program that reads your files or something like that.

I REALLY need that flash drive, but there's a chance I've lost it forever. So if anyone can tell me if a program like that exists, I'd be greatly obliged.

  • How do I find gravity based on free fall?

So I'm doing a physics lab were we drop a golf ball from a certain height and measure how long it takes it to ht the ground. We dropped the ball three times from four different heights, making it a total of twelve drops. The purpose is to use the data to figure out the gravity level at school, where we did the tests. Can someone tell me what equation I'm supposed to use (not do the work for me, just tell me how to do it.)? Comment if you need the exact numbers.

  • Can anyone help me with this physics problem?

You toss a tennis ball straight upward. At the moment it leaves your hand it is at a height of 1.5 m above the ground, and it is moving at a speed of 8.4 m/s.

    (a) How much time does it take for the tennis ball to reach its maximum height (in seconds)?

    (b) What is the maximum height above the ground that the tennis ball reaches (in meters)?

    (c) When the tennis ball is at a height of 2.6 m above the ground, what is its speed (in meters per second)?

  • When does one become a father?

This is a literal and insignificant question. Do you become a father when your wife/girlfriend becomes pregnant (so at the point of conception), or once your child is born? Or is it something else and it's a term simply used for a man that cares for a child (If that's the case, then the answer would be my second suggestion.).

Cold, hard facts, please; nothing emotional or something stupid like, "Everyone's a father in one way or another."

  • League of Legends, Smite, or World of Warcraft?

I've been an avid gamer of pretty much everything for years. Playing video games is by far my favorite pastime. But recently, I've been drawn to MOBAs (I know Warcraft isn't one). I REALLY want to start playing one of these three, though I'm not sure which one. I'm drawn to LoL and Smite because of the character choices and play style, but I enjoy RPGs and would like to play Warcraft, too. I know I won't have enough time to play all three, so I would like to hear from you.

Which one do you like best, or which one would you play? If you've played more than one (bonus points if you've played them all), which one was better?

  • Can I install a dedicated graphics card?

I have an HP ENVY 6t-1000with an i5-2467M and 12GB RAM. It was originally a work laptop, but then I installed more RAM and deleted lots of files to make it a gaming laptop. The problem is it uses the integrated graphics, Intel HD 3000. Is it possible for me to install a GPU? If so, I'd also like to know which card is the best one for my laptop (powerful and not so expensive). I'd prefer an Nvidia GPU.

  • Why can't I log into Steam?

I know my username and password, but when I type them in, it says I'm having problems connecting to the internet. This is not true, since I can still use Google Chrome. I can't log in in from the client, but I can from a browser. Why? After that, it kept saying "Steam is having trouble connecting to Steam servers.

    Please help!
