The problem is:

I moved into a new house and had to set up my router again. Its been 3 to 4 weeks, but I am not able to connect my iPod Touch to my network. I have a laptop that can connect to the router while in the basement. In my living room, I'm not able to connect to my Touch, however, I can connect it while being near the router itself.

Someone please help me fix the problem. I really need to connect my iPod Touch or else the device is useless for me.

I have an iPod Touch 2G that has been upgraded to the 3.1 firmware. I want to jailbreak my iPod. I'm pretty sure I have to downgrade to 3.0 and restore it back and etc.

Can someone just explain the process with step-by-step instructions?

Also, if I do this, will everything on my ipod be erased and gone. I do not want this to happen so is there anyway I can jailbreak my iPod without losing data.

I have a Windows XP PC where I sync my library to my iPod Touch. I want to add a movie and since my PC does not have a DVD drive, I have to do it on my laptop. I want to know if I can sync only the movie from my laptop to the touch and then regularly sync music on the PC.
