Only 17 percent of Repub die hards left. The rest wish Pres Obama well. My respect level is definitely up for the Republicans. They have finally come to their senses. I know you don't see it here among the ranters and ravers. The intelligent ones are going about their business. Don't hold it against them because of the minority here that are clinging to what's left of their party in shambles. Ignore the haters. You can't convince everyone to be sensible.

I now hear that McCain has black relatives who are supporting Obama. That his great grandparents were slave owners and had relations w/their slaves. WOW, isn't that a trip. Maybe McCain IS prejudice? I heard he didn't want MLK to be a holiday, but I had no proof he was prejudice. But if his family owned slaves then that kind of philosophy travels down through the blood lines. That feeling of being superior because you actually OWNED a slave could be pretty entrenched in his family values. Very interesting. Your thoughts?

Why does he have so much faith in him? I heard he is dissappointed with McCain's campaign and they are good friends.

Muslims are fighting in Iraq for America. So, what would be the big deal if Obama WAS Muslim? I know he's a Christian, I just don't understand the obvious racism of muslims in this country.

Is it perhaps because he has nothing else? Joe is not even a licensed plumber yet? He also doesn't believe in McCain's philosphy. But he did vote for McCain in the primary. My guess is that he was a plant. I still don't get why he's going on and on about Joe's dream though.

Palin says she is a Christian and yet I hear her and John stirring up hatred and racism. I heard someone in McCain's crowd shout terrorist. Jesus said you shall know them by their fruits. Well, the fruit that is falling from the McCain/Palin tree is definitely NOT sweet. Isn't Jesus the God of love and compassion? Obama and McCain were polled on compassion and guess who won? It wasn't McCain/ Palin that's for sure. Obama won by a wide margin. Obama is showing to be the more presidential don't you think?

When McCain gets angry he speaks his true heart. During the debate he couldn't even give Obama the respect due a Senator and called him "THIS ONE voted . . . "!! If you have not seen the debate, I recommend that you do so.

Isn't that why they are crying terrorist regarding Obama. We all know that is utter nonsense, but the McCain camp is getting very desperate seeing that the toss up states are leaning towards Obama. It is apparent that these so called CHRISTIANS are unscrupulous when it comes to winning. They will lie, cheat, whatever it takes to win. They truly give Christianity a bad name.

Also did you see Sat Night Live? They took actual whole sentences from the interview of S. Palin and Katie Couric. That is scary when the writers can copy word for word from actual interviews and still be funny. Sarah seems to be making their jobs fairly easy.

He looks like he is intimidated?? Is that how he would meet w/world leaders in negotiations? If so, Obama is much more presidential. You at least have to be able to look at world leaders in the eye. I think it's kind of wimpy.

She needs to get her bottom out there and answer questions from reporters so we know what kind of VP or possible President she will make. This MILLIONAIRE dude was hired with NO Wallstreet experience? Why does the Republican BUSH administration hire people who are inept. Is this another BROWNIE hire??!! He was saying Sept 07 how great our economy was and so was McCain. Wasn't he saying "The fundamentals of our economy is strong??? Only Obama was saying that was BS. Now just last week Henry Paulson says we are on the verge of a great depression?? What the heck? Who is this guy and why should we trust him?

This word, along with earmarks, etc. has been talked about the past week or so. I often put questions on YA regarding this important aspect of the stockmarket downturn. However, I don't get very many responses. I think that the average American just doesn't understand the Economic crisis or even what deregulation is. Would you say that is true?
