1 AnswerFantasy Sports10 years agoWho better for bench RB, Jacobs or Stewart?
Jacobs is more of a sure thing, but I feel like Stewart is set to break out...
1 AnswerFantasy Sports10 years agoMulti-part fantasy question...?
So, here we go, my bench consists of the following players - Benjarvus Green-Ellis, Jonathan Stewart, Danny Amendola, Johnny Knox, Marcedes Lewis, & Eli Manning.
Question 1: My starting TE is Witten, but would you trade Stewart and Lewis for Jermichael Finley?
Question 2: Only in an 8 man league, so TE's like Heap, Gronk, Hernandez and Cooley are still FA, should I drop Lewis, not have a backup TE, and pick up Brandon Jacobs?
Question 3: Or should I keep a backup TE on the roster, but make it Gronkowski?
3 AnswersFantasy Sports10 years agoHelp me out here, Pick 6...?
Pick 3 of each RB/WR from the following lists that you would rather have on your fantasy team.
RB
Ryan Grant
Green-Ellis
Jonathan Stewart
Brandon Jacobs
Tashard (sp?) Choice
WR
Danny Amendola
Michael Crabtree
Johnny Knox
Mike Williams (Seattle)
Nate Burleson
6 AnswersFantasy Sports10 years agoNFL Regular Season Scheduling Question?
For a hypothetical AFC team the breakdown is as follows:
16 games
6 within the division, 3 at home and 3 away
4 against another AFC division on a rotating 3 year schedule, 2 at home and 2 away
4 against an NFC division on a rotating 4 year schedule, 2 at home and 2 away
2 against AFC teams that finished as the same seed in their own divisions, 1 home and 1 away
So here's the question, how do they decide which games are played at home and which are played away when they play the other AFC division and the other AFC teams that are the same seed? For example, this year the New England Patriots played the Steelers in Pittsburg and the Colts at home. And they will play both of them at the same locations next year. I know that there is some formula to decide, and I would have thought that it just alternated, but apparently it doesn't, unless the article (not wiki) I read was wrong. Can anybody tell me how this is decided?
Also, don't bother telling me how they do it intra-division, that's pretty straightforward.
3 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoWill the Patriots put the Franchise Tag on Logan Mankins?
They don't really have anyone else to tag, but it would surely be a d!ck move. Given the holdout and the Patriots refusal to meet his contract demands, Mankins obviously wants leave. The Patriots, on the other hand, do reserve the right to tag him, and could trade him and at least get a draft pick for him (see: Matt Cassel). But it would be different, in a way, it would be screwing Mankins, who will be a year older when he hits free agency, making him less valuable. It certainly seems to be something the Pats would do "for the good of the team", the team's mantra. WIll the Patriots do it, would you?
3 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoNew England Patriots: Biggest Holes to Fill in 2011 Draft?
Yes, the Patriots are 9-2 and likely headed back to the playoffs. But they are certainly not without some glaring needs that need to be addressed in this year's fairly deep draft. Luckily, the Patriots are set up with about 800 picks, and their biggest needs are the positions that are the deepest in the draft But which needs should take take precedence?
Defense:
CB: Will the combination of McCourty and Bodden be enough to push this need to a later round?
OLB: Given that the Pats haven't relied on an elite pass rush much this decade, is this need important? Is Jermaine Cunningham the answer?
ILB: Nobody doubts that Jerod Mayo and Brandon Spikes are beasts against the rush and great tacklers, but they can't seem to get at the QB, nor are they any good in pass coverage over the middle, leading to an historically poor 51% opponent 3rd down conversion rate. Will they improve enough?
DE: Pats currently starting rookie 7th round pick Brandon Deadrick. It seems as though the loss of Richard Seymour has severely hurt this teams ability to get to the QB.
Offense:
RB: Are you satisfied long-term with the combination of Benjarvis Green-Ellis and Danny Woodhead. They have certainly been sufficient this year, but should the Pats go after a high profile name such as Mark Ingram?
WR: Randy Moss or not, the Pats have a deadly passing attack, but do they still need the big play receiver? Is Brandon Tate the answer there?
OL: Mankins is likely gone next year, Light and Neal aren't getting any younger, and Brady is a pocket passer. He's not his best on the run.
Now, all of these are legitimate positions of need for the Pats, which is scary, and Brady probably has about 5 years left where he's likely to win it all. So which positions would be the most beneficial to address now, and which can wait until later? Your thoughts? And who would you most like to see on the Pats?
