  • Middle name for Malachi?

My fiance and I are planning names for our kids, we both like the name Malachi but can't figure out a middle name for it.

The kids would be mixed race, African American, Brazilian, White.

    Siblings would be:

Dante Jeiel (fiance's favorite name and his first name as the middle name)

Dahlia Jordyn ( my choices, two of my favorite names)

Almeida Ruth (names from a grandmother on his side and a grandmother on my side)

  • Opinions on the name Dahlia?

    I am thinking Dahlia Jordyn.

Any other flower names to go with Jordyn that aren't too common (Rose, Lily, Daisy)?

  • First names to go with middle name McClain?

Preferably starting with C or D.

    Preferably not starting with J.

The child will be African American, but we don't want stereotypical "Black" names.

    ie. No De'Shawn

  • What would be a good middle name for Malachi?

My SO is Brazilian/African American and I am Caucasian.

Other names we have picked out (and we will be using them) are:

    Boy:

Dante Jeiel (my SO's pick of first name, and my SO's first name as the middle name)

    Girls:

Jordyn Grace (my choice, I love this name, sorry, not sorry if you don't)

Almeida Ruth (family names from both of us)

We're stuck on a middle name for Malachi though. We know we want Malachi as the first name but can't agree on any middle names.

I would not mind him having a Brazilian name for his middle name. Neither of us want a stereotypical 'Black' middle name though.

If you have any other suggestions of names we might like feel free to add those as well.

  • What do you think of these name for brothers?

    Danté Jeiel (zhay-yell)

    Andre James

If you could give reasons why, that would be nice as well.

Danté Jeiel is a set name, it will be used.

Jeiel is the name of my SO.

My SO is Afro-Brazilian American and I am white so the children will look black/white biracial.

My boyfriend, soon to be fiance, and I have been thinking of names for when we finally have children.

We are planning on at least 4 children.

So far we have these names picked out.

    Girls:

    Jordyn Grace

    Almeida (Al-may-da) Ruth

    Boys:

    Dante Jeiel (jay-yell)

    -------- Pieter

We need a first name to go with the middle name Pieter.

As a side note to explain some of our name choices my bf is Afro-Brazilian American (Brazilian & African American) I am Caucasian.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

  • WDYT of this name for a girl?

    Almeida

    Pronounced AL-may-da

It is a Portuguese name that my boyfriend (soon to be fiance) are considering. We don't plan on having children for quite a few years but are trying to come up with ones that we both like and both families will be able to pronounce reasonably well.

My boyfriend is Brazilian & African American and the name has history in his family. I am Caucasian.

Her nickname would probably be Mae. Though I am also trying to figure out what spelling we should use May, Mae or Mei.

    BQ: Middle name ideas?

(Neither of us like the super trendy or overly misspelled names)

  • WDYT of these names for a boy?

My boyfriend - soon to be fiance - and I have started looking at names even though we don't plan on having kids any time soon.

We have come up with a few names that we both like reasonably well.

So here are the names being 'debated' right now.

    Which do you like better?

    Darius Jeiel

    (Dare-ee-us. Jay-el)

    or

    Dimitri Jeiel

    (D-mee-tree. Jay-el)

    or

    Damian Jeiel

    (Day-me-en. Jay-el)

Jeiel is my boyfriend's first name and I would like to use it as the middle name, he is unsure about that.

Other first/middle name suggestions are welcome. (They don't have to start with D or J)
