  • Reoccurring impetigo?

Hi. So I got impetigo (the oozing kind) right above my lip a month ago, went to doc, got antibiotic ointment, and it went away- or so I thought. The spot where it was at was still itchy after using the ointment (used it for 10 days as prescribed) and there was still a little pimple like thing at the site even after everything else went away.

Then the exact same oozing infection came back all of a sudden almost two weeks ago so I used the ointment again with success, except now there is still itching and a small pimple left over! Just like the first time!

So now I'm thinking it is going to come back a THIRD time. Should I just keep using the ointment? Or is this actually not impetigo? What should I do? Why is this not going away all the way? The area above my lip looks healthy at the moment, except for random itchiness and the little bump/pimple.

    Thanks!

tl;dr: impetigo keeps reoccurring in the same place even when it seems to be healed. Is it actually impetigo? How do I get rid of it for good either way?

  • Is my orthodontist doing my braces right?

So I ve had braces before (about 10 years ago) but my teeth moved a little and so now I have them again. My ortho said it would be about 6 months of treatment (movement wasnt drastic) and then I d have them off. I ve had them for almost 4 months now. (My teeth weren t bad, the top teeth were a little crooked but my bite was still almost perfect.) At the next appointment end of October he will start the detailing process.

However, I ve noticed now my bottom teeth have noticeable gaps that aren t closing even after a month of having the chain bands. I have chain bands again and the gaps are actually bigger now. And on my left side of my mouth my top and bottom front teeth run into each other when i bute down- they didn t before ever, and he says my bite looks good? Ummm I can t imagine that is true? He hasn t even address this to me or my gaps. For the last 3 appointments he s just hovered over me and said "bite looks good" and then tells the tech what to do. He never sits down and actually looks at my teeth in depth.

So I guess I m just wondering, does it seems like i am actually on the right track like he says I am? Am I actually in the right stage to start getting detailing done? Do I need to tell him my worries? And what if at the end of this, I am unhappy with the results, what am I supposed to do?

  • Will an associates degree in Computer Science/CIS be worth it/get me a high paying job?

I already have a bachelors degree in biology, but I am just tired of working my tail off and getting nowhere in the biology field. Will getting an associates degree in CIS while already having a BS degree land me a high paying job in CIS? Or is it a waste of time and money unless I get a bachelors in CIS?

  • Physics photoelectric effect question! Please help!?

A light source is illuminating the cathode of a photoelectric effect experiment. The cathode is made of copper with a work function of 4.65eV. Suppose the kinetic energy of one ejected electron is 1.25eV.

    (A) What is the energy in eV and in Joules of the photon that was absorbed by the electron?

    (B) What is the wavelength and frequency of that photon?
