  • Your thoughts on the whole Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case?

Let me be the first to say, I am a black man, proud black man and will never shy away from this fact. But that don't mean I will be so quick to throw the race card around like that. Here are the facts, George Zimmerman shot and killed an unarmed Trayvon Martin. When I look at George Zimmerman, I understand his point of view slightly, there has been a string of robberies in your neighborhood recently. You see someone acting "suspicious"(who knows if suspicious means walking while black, or actually look like he is generally up to no good, regardless of race). I don't blame him for calling police, good call. But I do blame him for disobeying orders and following Trayvon. That is where I believe he is wrong. His role is to be a neighborhood watch men, not to be Batman. Now I backup and try to be in Trayvon martin's shoes. Middle of the night, want a snack so you walk to the cornerstore. I have done this exact thing before, nothing wrong with that at all. Also happen to be wearing a hoody, like I said completely normal. I wear hoodies all the time. But Suddenly you see somebody following you. (It hasn't been made clear wheter George confronted Trayvon or vice versa, or what exactly started the brawl) This unknown man has a gun. I would be completely scared for my life then as trayvon, and likely act in self defense. Of course, if youre fighting someone with a gun, your goal is to disarm this man. He tried, he failed, the end.

So although I understand Zimmerman was trying to look out for his neighborhood. But it was wrong of him to follow and confront Martin. Its obvious he was up to no good from that point on in my opinion. Trayvon may have not been this sweet innocent saint. He may be a "thug" if you will. That doesn't mean he deserves to die. All in all, Theres not enough evidence for a murder charge, but I do believe he is guilty of manslaughter.

  • For guys like kevin ware, who suffer a bad injury while playing?

Is it still illegal for say him and the family to receive helpful donations to help pay for all of the hospital bills and what not. I say this because i remember in high school a friend of mine had a knee injury which needed some surgery done, but his family was in a financial burdon. So the booster club organized fundraiser events just to raise money to help his hospital bills including surgery, therapy, etc etc.

  • Thoughts on the whole rutgers coach situation?

Let me say i have experienced hard coaching. I understand his passion to motivate his players. The whole thing about coaches and young men is to toughen them up.t. Thats how i was raised and coached atleast. But i must say he went over the line. The whole throwing balls at players heads, and pretty much physically abusing his players as if to cause harm. Way over the line, my coach would not put his hands on you, unless you put your hands on him. (But then yo life is over, former marine dont mess wit him lol) So i completely agree with firing him. Im not going to sit and act like its just so shocking and unbelievable because i know it happens Rutgers and the athletic department does not care. They only fired him because of the bad publicity. The coaches apology was bs, i could tell it was not sincere at all, only sorry he got caught and is now in the unemployment line.

  • The NFL is a monopoly, they can do whatever they like?

Yet they will still make billions of dollars easily. Football is just THAT big here in America. I hate it because i really want to boycott the leauge, but Im too big of a football fan. i have watched since i was a little kid and it is by far my favorite sport. Goodell and the owners realize this i believe. They can change the game to whatever they feel like, but at the end of the day his pocketbook still has a lot of 0's

  • Is there a such thing as being too safe?

This is sort of a follow up to my previous question. I know roger goodell is all about making the game safer. After guys like junior seau(may he R.I.P) and plenty others with life lasting football injuries. My heart really goes out to them and i cant blame the NFL for some of their new rule changes. But then again i think about the game of football. The one i fell in love with as a lil kid because of the danger. i stepped on the field knowing it was a good chance i would break an ankle, knee, arm, neck, concussion, etc. But i didnt care that risk was what made me love the game. So im really twisted. Is there going to be a line drawn, because from the looks of it Goodell is constantly looking for new ways to try and improve safety. How long before the game we all know and love really is just glorified 2-hand touch

  • Your thoughts on possible rule change?

Regarding flagging running backs for lowing their head upon impact... honestly i dont like it. i hate how much they are changing the game. I dont like how they are making the game so soft now. How many players were injured from a running back lowering his head last year. And why is it now becoming a big deal all of a sudden. Besides that, if you dont lower your head, the runner is leaving himself open to practically killed by the defender. I hate the game i fell in love with is becoming. Pretty soon basketball and soccer will become the only sports i watch

  • Should the hack-a-... be banned?

I mean the strategy of intentionally and excessively fouling the other teams worst free throw shooter. I honestly hate this, and fight it to be very cheap and childish.( Possibly because im a Lakers fan?) But ya i would like to see this removed from the game, but its just my opinion

  • Help with Biology please!?

A potted geranium plant sits in a windowsill, absorbing sunlight. After I put this plant in a dark closet for a few days (but keeping it watered), will it weigh more or less (discounting the weight of the water) than before I put it in the closet
