Who will face Chivas in the Semi-finals?
As of now, their is a Mexican and Brazilian team (Sao Paulo or Cruzeiros) in the semi-finals. If U de Chile cannot win Flamengo and if Internacional knocks out Estudiantes, then it will be Chivas vs. Flamengo. However, if Estudiantes wins and U de Chile loses, Flamengo will face the other Brazilian team and Estudiantes becomes Chivas rival. If U de Chile wins, the it will be Chivas rival.
Did you all know that Chivas will have to change the date against Manchester, maybe? Because the semi-finals take place on the 28th, Chivas plays Manchester on the 30th. If Chivas has to travel, then they will have to change the date Against Manchester or risk injuring a player in the friendly.
2 AnswersMexican Football (Soccer)1 decade agoEl Chepo to National Team?
Toluca has hinted that the Federation has El Chepo on their radar to take over the national team, once the World Cup ends. So far, nothing is serious, just talks.
Your thoughts? If not Chepo, then who would you prefer to coach Mexico?
5 AnswersMexican Football (Soccer)1 decade agoJonathan is Injured as well!?
Another bad news for Mexican National Team. He's out for 3 weeks.
2 AnswersMexican Football (Soccer)1 decade agoRicardo Osorio is injured!?
I am watching the Stuttgart game and he was just subbed out because of an injury. More bad news for the Mexican National Team if his injury is serious.
1 AnswerMexican Football (Soccer)1 decade agoAmericanistas, how do you feel?
About Jackson Martinez joining America and basically telling Tony Lopez and Daniel Marquez that they aren't good enough to play for America? I support Chivas and I think America is destroying the aspiration of these players who have been playing good. Just because they aren't scoring goals consecutively, which no goal-scorer can do, they wont even bother to continue on with them. I think they've stepped up to replace Cabanas for the time being. No, they aren't like him, but they are helping America more than making them worse. America spent 20 millions a couple of years back for players, and the ones that they produced have helped out more, by far, than the ones who they bought. Do you support what America is doing? The 80's are over, does America believe that buying extranjeros is the right way to go, still? Back then, it was different. Players moved countries to play, unlike now, who all use Mexico to get some attention and jump to Europe. They are shedding out money to just lose, while home talent is there waiting to fight for the shirt which many extranjeros, apart for Cabanas, have not been doing but earning a pay check that they don't deserve. Is America ruining their cantera's hope of becoming great players by putting them on the back seat instead of exploiting the talent that we all know they carry? What are your thoughts?
(Sorry if this was already asked, I haven't been on in a while)
7 AnswersMexican Football (Soccer)1 decade agoPossible transfer for Javier Hernandez?
Nothing too official, I'm going to do more research, but on MedioTiempo, it said that Wolfsburg of the German League and PSV Eindhoven from the Dutch league want Javier Hernandez to sign with one of them before the World Cup. As many of you knew, it would be sooner or later that Javier Hernandez would get attention and receive offers. The teams are both respectable. Not the strongest, but not bad for starters. Like I said, nothing official, just bringing it to light here. Your thoughts? Please, no ignorance are crazy assumptions that he deserves Barca or better, blah blah. Let's be sane and realistic. I'm happy, because he is Mexican and Mexican strikers are never imported, since they have had a bad reputation for chocking, since the turn of the millenium. Hopefully he'll be the turning point and give examples to other players that with hard work and keeping your foot on the ground will get you somewhere.

How will this alter the Mexican League and defines who is champion?
6 AnswersMexican Football (Soccer)1 decade agoWhen will the novela of Nery Castillo end?
Apparently, not any time soon. There is reason to believe that Nery is holding out until the end of July to go to FIFA and break away from his club. Why then? Well FIFA has an article, # 17 I think, that states that a player who has been with a club for 3 years and doesn't receive any playing time has the sole right to break away from his club and transfer. However, the complications are that his club is not stupid and is aware of the article and that they wont just lose Nery, after busting out 20 Millions Euros for him. Also, the article only allows for players under the age of 23 to do so. Nery is 25, will be 26 when July comes, and that may cause more complications for his chances of playing football. Because he has two years left on his contract, after this season, and I don't see him playing at all. I understand Aguirre has showed favoritism on the team and wants Nery, cause he is supposed to be Mexico's savior, and now reports have came out the Aguirre is intending in getting Nery to return to Mexico for the friendlies and train at el CAR to have him get back in form. Though it sounds okay and it gives hope to many people, does he really deserve that opportunity? After all the comments he's made, dumb stuff he's done on and off the field, and the fact that he is getting his a*s whipped by Aguirre, do you all feel he should be granted a spot for the World Cup? After all, Javier Hernandez, Guille Franco, Miguel Sabah, and other are doing good and busting their a*s off, does Nery need to be given the red carpet to just be in the final list? If that does happen, Mexico has completely gone bust. You don't wait and hope and for a good ending. You work hard and focus in making that ending a good one. This novela just keeps getting crazier by the month.
11 AnswersMexican Football (Soccer)1 decade agoSo what do you think about the players on your team?
As we all know, many players get no attention, despite being great. However, some get too much attention, despite being an average player.
Many clubs in the Liga Mexicana, especially those who are not considered part of the "Equipos Grandes," have many players ignored, despite being fantastic players.
Now, my question to you is, please be unbiased and honest, which player on your team is over-rated and which player is under-rated?
I know that sometimes supporters for clubs get annoyed when a coach over looks a player or the team doesn't appreciate the player.
2 AnswersMexican Football (Soccer)1 decade agoSo I asked this question a year ago, so I thought I'd asked again. After 5 years, are they impressing you?
So we all know Mexico won the sub-17 in 2005, which was ages ago. Now my question to you is, did any of the twenty that went to Peru make an impact in their respected clubs since? The players are;

3 Efrain JUAREZ DF
4 Christian SANCHEZ DF
5 Hector MORENO DF

Feel free to make any comment on your disappointments, impressions, and satisfaction that these players left on you, not only if they represent your club, but also as football players you expected to become better as they matured.
3 AnswersMexican Football (Soccer)1 decade agoMarquez may leave Barcelona to go to Italy?
It seems that Barcelona might now be interested in Sebastian Frey,
if Victor Valdes doesn't renew, which many have said that the negotiations
for a new contract are shot between Valdes and the "Blaugrana".
So Barcelona might use Fiorentina's interest in Marquez to try and
acquire the Frenchman from the "Violas". How do you feel about
this possible trade? This isn't from Guardiola's mouth, who loves
Marquez, along with Valdes and Puyol, as he recently told LaPorta
to renew all three's contract. So it is just a rumor by the media.
8 AnswersMexican Football (Soccer)1 decade agoFernando Morientes' possible retirement in the Mexican Football league?
Puebla wish to sign the 33 year old striker who is past his prime.
He isn't the same as he was in Madrid, but is very experienced.
Is he just a publicity stunt, or do you believe he will help Puebla
a lot?
8 AnswersMexican Football (Soccer)1 decade agoIsn't this horrible? You'll wish they stopped at the 2nd one, How sad?
This is the trailer from goal 3.
Just released yesterday for direct to dvd only. Good. Cause they would had made no money.
What do you all think? Horrible or really really horrible?

Also, which was your favorite one from the first two, if you seen them?
12 AnswersMexican Football (Soccer)1 decade agoNew players go to new teams?
De Pinho is back with America for one year, they are just finishing the contract with Monterrey and their trip down South was bad. Botinelli is a probable new candidate to wear the America Jersey.
Chivas brought another player from their youth system up. He goes by the name of Christian Perez. Another player to sweat the jersey. Gotta love it.
Saucedo to Tigres, also, that Edgar Castillo is close to go with Guzman.
Walter Ervitti is close to sign for Estudiantes/Tecos.
Gio dos Santos and Memo Ochoa no longer going to Espanyol. Kameni signed a year extension, so Ochoa has nothing again. And with Gio, nothing came of it.
Blas pPeres and Benitez are now out of Tigres.
Pumas has got a new uniform sponsor. They are now going to be produced by Puma. How ironic. Should be sweet, cause Pachuca's looked hella bad a*s.
Mario Perez will become officially a Zorro in the next days. Navarette might join
Jesus Corona, nothing new. Just rumors. Yosgart might be out.
Anybody else heard any new news, other than what's already on Kido's WIKI thing?
Al this can be proven on MedioTiempo, so everything I posted is not made up. So please return the favor, by not making other stuff up.
Also, how do you all see the change of kits on some players? Mario Perez is now out of Televisa's hands? The return of De Pinho, and his "great" finishing skills to las Aguilas? Surprised by some signings? Or everything is normal so far?
9 AnswersMexican Football (Soccer)1 decade agoA reunion of brothers possibly?
It is said that Vergara wont open his checkbook for no player. However, Paco Ramirez said he wants Carlos Adrian Morales, Ramon's little brother for those that don't know. I personally liked him when he was playing for Toluca and he played well in Tecos. He doesn't have the golden foot as Ramon has, but he is an above average player. He has been called up for Mexico, in the LaVolpe era, and it seems Paco sees him being a great addition for Chivas. Your thoughts and Carlos playing for the same team his brother plays for? Or will Vergara stay cheap? Remember, there was already "El Tepa" who was given many opportunities and choked, as did Mendoza when he was given a chance. Will the addition of a quick, experience player be good for Chivas or will he fall short of the expectations?
7 AnswersMexican Football (Soccer)1 decade agoHey Atlas fans, would you be happy if "he" returned?
That "he" i'm, referring to is none other than Danny Boy.
http://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/mexico/noticias/...
He left Atlas some years ago to follow his dream of making his band, but things didn't turn out so well. He showed us that he still has it, with the exception of scoring many goals, but can still set up players and pull defenders. Would you be happy if he returns, or is it whatever?
Also, would any of you mind if Osorno joins the team ya'll support?
10 AnswersMexican Football (Soccer)1 decade agoSo who goes to which team for the upcoming season?
Please have good evidence to back up your statements. thanks.
America---
So far, D'Alessandro is the only i heard they are getting and their are sites stating it.
De Pinho is gone, cause his loan ended and Vera was almost gone last time I read.
Atlante--
I haven't heard anyone is out yet.
I read on mediotiempo that they want Chicharo back from Necaxa and Mustafa.
Atlas--
I've read on mediotiempo, that Juan Carlos Medina said he wants o return to Atlas again, to regain his form.
I'm sure they need a new goalie.
Indios--
I haven't heard anything, since they are in the semi-finals right now.
Chiapas--
Itamar said he wants out, but wants to still play for a team in Mexico.
Bofo might be out cause of his bad game play.
Cruz Azul--
Haven't heard any legit buys.
Chivas--
Borgetti out for sure. Francisco Mendoza said he might return to Chivas U.S.A since he can't make the first team in Chivas.
Olvera's loan to Toluca is over now, so he might return?
I haven't head anything legit for Bofo, just fans wanting him.
Same with Bravo.
Monterey--
Only Medina wanting to return to Atlas.
Morelia--
I've heard nothing.
Necaxa--
Over half the team is for sale. Who goes where? might be interesting. America or San Luis can house all of them.
Pachuca--
I've heard nothing. Caballero stays.
Puebla--
I've heard nothing. Chelis did say he wont re-sign.
San Luis--
I've heard nothing.
Santos.--
Oswaldo's contract expires i think?
Tigres--
Bravo returns to Deportivo.
Conejo returns to Cruz Azul, but wants to stay.
Same with Talavera.
Toluca--
Da Silva might leave abroad. I don't think he'll go to any other Mexican team. There is no better than Toluca or Pachuca.
Tecos--
Mauro Cejas might return. Corona has no offers.
Pumas--
i've heard nothing.
Can you please let me know if there re any bids for players or transfers made or wanting to be made. Please have a link. Too many rumors going around, if you know what i mean. Thanks.
9 AnswersMexican Football (Soccer)1 decade agoAfter four years, have they made much impact? Who choked and shined?
It's been four years since they last won the World Cup back in 05.
Which players do you think ended up being good prospects and

for the senior national team? It's interesting that from this group
not many became all that for their clubs. Your thoughts?

11 AnswersMexican Football (Soccer)1 decade agoWhat team wouldn't want a player like Sylvinho?
Did you all noticed that after Iniesta scored the goal, after Josep Guardiola ran to celebrate, Sylvinho ran right behind him. Not to celebrate, but to tell him to make changes. How smart. I like players like him. Players who are good on and off the field like that. Even though Guardiola is coach, with Sylvinho's experience in Champions, it's good to know that you have players on your team who can be smart and think outside the box.
