  • Why do we have .pst file saved on local computer when the email sync up from exchange server?

    Just curious.If I log on to any pc in the company and then start using my outlook it creates my .pst file in the profile. Question is what is the point of having .pst on the local pc since the email syncs up from exchange server?

    2nd question is ... If I backup the pst file of a user and then delete the user logon id and his mailbox. at some point later if the management wants to see the emails of that particular user how would I do that?
