I love my country and I love my dogs.. I own 2 dogs both Staffordshire Bull Terriers called "Diesel" age 16 months and another called "Ruby" age 6 years. In the near future I am hoping to add to my pack with some of my other favorite breeds (Rottweiler, Am' PitBull Terrier, Am' Bulldog and all sort haired Mastiff breeds). I am from Birmingham, West Midlands UK I am a 18 year old male doing volunteer work at a local dog rescue center and I am just starting a course in "Canine Behavior". I hope to one day open a Bull Breed Rescue specializing in Staffordshire Bull Terriers. But rescuing every form of Bull Breed I can. I am very patriotic about my country I am a member of the English Defence League I will serve and if need be fight for my country no matter what...
Can I get arrested for body armour?
I am going to the Luton EDL (English Defence League) Demo in 2 months time and a minimum of 7000 EDL members are expected and about 6000 UAF (Unite Against Fascism) and MDL (Muslim Defence League) are also expected... It is a 90% chance that it is going to kick off big time so I wanted to get some body armour (I'm not the only person who wants some either) because after Peterborough on Saturday and the UAF using weapons I ain't taking any chances...
Now people are telling me that if I get stopped and searched I can get arrested for having body armour.. Is that true??? Or is it just BS?
THIS IS A SERIOUS QUESTION!!!
14 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoIs the EDL a racist organization?
I was reading threw a few questions that were asked about the Muslims extremists burning the poppy's on 11/11/11 and it was said and I quote "The EDL is the football hooligan wing of the BNP, set up to provoke racial violence on British streets. Their hatred and chanting are directed at all Muslims, not just extremists. And they don't seem to want to protest about any other extremists, only Muslims"..
But someone also said that "The EDL is not a racist organisation, it is made up of many races and religions it is only against Radical Islam which is a religion and not a race"...
I don't know how the EDL came up but it did..
So what is true??? Is the EDL a racist organization or not???... I haven't got a f*cking clue!!!
For people who don't know what EDL is it stands for English Defense League..

13 AnswersDogs1 decade agoTraining dog to wear a muzzle?
I have a foster dog and she is very dog aggressive she only gets on with my other dog (Male) and that is it.... I have tried putting a muzzle on her and she just drags her mouth across the floor trying to get the muzzle off and sometimes she scratches at the muzzle with her paw!!
I go to a lot of Bullie Walks and can't leave her at home.. So how do it get her to wear a muzzle? Is there anyway I can get her to feel comfortable wearing one? She is marked and I think she may have been used as a fighting or bait dog and if she was a bait dog maybe they muzzled her... So this may be why she doesn't like them.
Any advice would be much appreciated.. Thanks!
6 AnswersDogs1 decade agoAre these designer "breeds"?
I have NEVER heard of these dogs before and the names sound a bit dodgy to be it's like they have grossed the names of 2 breeds.
So are the American Bullnese and the Olde Boston Bulldogge both dumb designer "breeds"?

6 AnswersDogs1 decade agoStaffies getting a good press?
Finally Staffordshire Bull Terriers are getting media coverage that doesn't involve them being called "Devil" dogs and killing machines and instead it is positive. I thought Staffy owners and lovers would like to know.

I don't know much about "Game" bred dogs but I have seen a lot of people posting photos of "Game" dogs on Facebook lately. They are pets but I was wondering if "Game" bred dogs are good to have as a pet?
I mean "Game" bred Staffordshire Bull Terriers and American Pit bull Terriers.

12 AnswersDogs1 decade agoTrainability Staffie or Bulldog?
I own 2 Staffies and at some point (far from now) I hope to get a Bulldog and was just wondering how easy or difficult it is to train them.
So I want to compare the 2 breeds on trainability.
Which of the 2 breeds would be easier to train the Staffordshire Bull Terrier or the (English) (British) Bulldog?
Answers preferably from people who has owned both breeds or know what they're talking about please!

5 AnswersDogs1 decade agoPit Bull type dogs in Australia and New Zeland?
I am from the UK where Staffordshire Bull Terriers aren't a Pit Bull Type but I also heard that this is the same in Australia and New Zeland. I have searched it up and can't find anything on the subject.
So does anyone know if Staffies are classes as Pit Bull Types in Australia and New Zeland?
1 AnswerDogs1 decade agoStaffies and PitBulls on Dogs 101?
I am from the UK and Dogs 101 has only recently started been shown on Animal Planet. I know that this was shown in the US before it was shown in the UK.
So can anyone tell me if they have a profile, examine or show the Staffordshire Bull Terrier and the Am' PitBull Terrier?
Only answers regarding this programme and these breeds please.
12 AnswersDogs1 decade agoDS: Supt Julia Pendry, what is you opinion?
Anyone who is from the UK will have heard of Superintendent Julia Pendry, she is resposnbile for the 'Status Dog Unit' for the Metropolitan Police. She has been quoted as saying ‘Owners have a responsibility to keep their dogs under control’ and ‘It would be absolutely fantastic’ to kill the thousands of illegal breed, dangerous dogs confiscated by police’.
But yet it has only just come to light that months before those words were said on march 5th she was in responsibility and care of a trained police attack dog that was staying at her home. While the dog was in her care the GSD launched an unprovoked attack on an Airedale Terrier biting it in the stomach leaving the five year old dog needing stitches and the owner a vets bill.
It has been reported that Supt Julia Pendry will be neither prosecuted nor disciplined. But yet she says it is the owners responsibility to keep their dogs under control and that it would be fantastic to kill all illegal breeds, even tho a dog in her care was dangerously out of control and not under her control. That is an offense under the Dangerous Dogs act 1991.
In my opinion, the woman who owned the Airedale Terrier should sue Pendry and then Pendry should be removed from the position as head of the 'Status Dog Unit' and after what she has being quoted as saying. I think she is a hypocrite and she doesn't/hasn't done the British legal system any favors and everyone knows the British legal system is a crock. Supt Julia Pendry has said she has apologized to the owner of the Airedale Terrier but this is not true.
Here is the article for you to read - http://www.dogmagazine.net/archives/6004/one-rule-...
What is your opinion on this? What should happen to Pendry and the attacking dog?
5 AnswersDogs1 decade agoA Documentary called "The Nanny Dog"?
I posted this Question last night but didn't get as many answers as I was hoping to.
I have been in touch with "Maverick Television" they film documentaries and programs. They said they may be interested in a positive documentary about Staffordshire Bull Terriers.
Now I have a few ideas for them but I would like to hear what members of the public think and would like to see in a positive documentary about Staffies.
Would subject would you like to see in this documentary?
Would you watch it if it was made?
Preferably U.K answers only because it is only going to be shown in the U.K and no criticism or snobby comments about the breed!

3 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWhat should the Government do about 'status' dogs?
As a Staffordshire Bull Terrier owner I always come across abusive people who think they know it all about dogs or more specifically bull breeds because they read the paper or watch the news. They are incapable of forming their own opinion about dog breeds. I have people calling my much loved family pet a 'status' dog and child 'killer' and a walking weapon. Just because they have heard or read a few stories about dog attacks by certain breeds or these muppets with status dogs.
The only reason you hear about bull breeds Rottweilers and other big muscular dogs attacking is because the media rarely publish attacks by Labradors or Collies. Because they don't want to ruin their reputation but they are more than happy to ruin the reputation of some truly wonderful family pets and amazing breeds ie Staffies, Rotties, Bulldogs, Pitbulls ect.
What is your opinion on status dogs? and what should the Government do about them?
