Today in chemistry, I accidentally cut myself pretty deep on some glass in the sink. People had been dumping remnants of methanol from beakers in there when I cut my finger. The water was running so I think it was pretty diluted. I'm just wondering if it's bad to have a small amount like that introduced to a deep cut. I didn't drink it or anything and rinsed out the cut right away.

Number 3 on page 4 asks to find an equation for a parabola that will get close enough to hit all three "pigs." For the zeros I was going to use (0,0) and (36,0) and then the one point it could pass through that would make it come close enough I estimated to be (25,6). How do I get a quadratic equation from those points?

OR, Is there a better way to do this?

Started taking levo for hypothyroidism and was wondering if it would be okay if I woke up around 6-7AM, took the medicine and then went back to bed for a couple hours? It's my understanding that your digestive system doesn't work as well when you're sleeping but I could be wrong. The reason I ask is because I like to eat cereal pretty close to waking up and hate taking my medicine then waiting an hour before I can eat.

I made a left turn where it said right turn only onto a side street when leaving school. There was no median or solid line and I honestly didn't see the sign but whatever, I'll pay the fine + 4 points. What I'm wondering about is will it raise my insurance rates? If so, I was on my motorcycle when this happened. I have motorcycle insurance with Progressive and car insurance through USAA...Will it raise my car insurance as well?

I am an 18 year old male and for the past few years I have noticed that my lymph nodes will swell to about the size of an egg shaped quarter and then back down to where I can barely feel them within a matter of hours throughout the day. I am generally healthy, good BMI, don't eat too much crap food and only get a cold 1, maybe 2 times a year. I don't have any other symptoms such as aches, nausea, fever, night sweats, appetite loss, ect... No history of cancer in my family on either sides at all. Just worried about why my nodes my fluctuate in size. i am a bit of a hypochondriac and believe anything I read on the internet and a lot of posts are saying its lymphoma and other cancers but I don't feel run down or anything...at least no more than any other college student working a part-time job feels.

And I am going in for a physical soon so if all you are going to say is "go see a doctor," please just don't even post. Thank you.

I am 18 years old and I have a clean record. I was going to be late for school so I was feeling rushed. I was going 58 in a 45 (13 over) and got a 4 point ticket. Now if I pay it within 20 days it drops to 2 points. Should I still show up in court and try to get it reduced to maybe just a fine and no points?

I am looking to be a Police Officer and then eventually move on to something like detective or DEA/ATF and was wondering if having 4 year degree vs a 2 year criminal justice degree made a huge difference. I don't mind starting at a lower pay grade for the first year or so in DEA/ATF. I would like to get started in my career instead of wasting my time away in school.

So today I bought a used 2005 Suzuki SV650 from a guy off Craigslist. Now the bike is fine and I got a good deal but he flat out lied to me about the mileage on the bike and I didn't realize until I got it home that there were almost double the miles on it than he had said. He had the bike's display set to a "trip" odometer reading which is at 7700 miles whereas it has almost 14k miles on the overall odometer.

Now the big issue is that I got a loan through my bank for this and they are under the impression that there are 7700 miles on it. Would this be considered fraud? Can I call them and have them change the mileage within the loan information without a problem?

Also, the guy has already deposited the check from my bank into his account...I'm pissed.

I have been having this issue for the past few days now where when I go to play MW3, it hangs on "connecting" for about a minute and then says "unable to connect..." I've been playing the game fine for the past month now and haven't changed any computer hardware or my router so its nothing to do with the ports. This started out of the blue. I am still able to play Spec Ops mode online with other people just fine. Just in the MP version of the game I am unable to connect.

Ever since about 4 years ago when I had my first panic attack, I've felt this sense of almost being dizzy but I can still keep my balance fairly well and this feeling of being in a dream like state. I know I'm not in a dream but I have to constantly tell myself this. I am always second guessing myself as to whether or not I am truly awake or if I'm going crazy and am hallucinating everything. I also have a HUGE fear that all of a sudden I'm going to just pass out in public or have a seizure for some random reason even with no history of such conditions. I'm a very healthy person and never had anything seriously wrong with me so I don't understand why I've felt like this for 4 years. Also recently it has been worsening and I find myself unable to even think clearly. My mind is always wandering and I find it almost difficult to complete a sentence/thought. I am an 18 year old male and this started when I was about 14 years old.

I would also consider myself somewhat of a hypochondriac unfortunately. I've read on forums and other blogs that this is all a part of anxiety which I guess kind of makes sense as I am transitioning into college and trying to figure out what i want to do with my life but I'm not the kind of person to worry so much that it affects me like this. I am even starting to lose my appetite because I'm just so worried about these feelings I have had 24/7 for the last 4 years.

My first panic attack was at a new school in a new state and it seemed like only when I went to school these feelings were the strongest. Then it gradually moved to things like work and now its basically just all the time.

I do play video games quite a bit so I've wondered if maybe I'm becoming desensitized from the real world but I've never met a gamer who also feels like this so I'm not really leaning towards that.

I've tried B vitamins like niacin as it worked for a friend of mine, drinking plenty of water and exercising/hobbies and none of them seem to help.

Hopefully anyone out there can help me out I'd appreciate it more than anything. I'm honestly to the point where I'd give up anything just to feel normal again and feel like I can enjoy the things I used to without the fear of feeling like this.

Motorcycle loan questions?

I had a couple questions regarding a loan I am considering for getting a motorcycle:

1. Does applying for a loan and then getting rejected hurt or affect my chances of being approved in the future?

I want to keep trying to see if they will approve me as time goes on and how much I could get approved for. So say in a couple months I try for a $5000 loan and get rejected then try again a week later for a $4000 loan and so on...

2. I will most likely buy a motorcycle privately from an owner off something like Craigslist. I cannot go to my bank and request a motorcycle loan but I can however request a personal loan but with a personal loan comes ~12% APR with GOOD credit. Right now I don't have an established credit score but I can't imagine it being too high within the next couple months. The highest rates I saw was 17%. Now 17% isn't that horrible on a $5000 loan, it would end up being about an extra $1200 or so in interest alone which I am fine with. Should I just take a personal loan out or is that a bad idea?

3. Also is a bank more likely to approve a personal loan over a motorcycle loan?

I am working on establishing and keeping a good credit score at the moment.

I have a ASUS G73SW which I bought a few months back and I switched out the primary HDD with a SSD and then used the drive that came with the laptop as a secondary drive in the laptop. Now, for the past few days my second HDD has been randomly just dropping and not even showing up in My Computer. Any program that uses that drive, such as iTunes, doesn't find the songs that are stored on that drive (obviously).

I'm just wondering what would make a HDD completely and randomly disappear like that. I'm fairly tech savvy and have built a few machines of my own but I cannot seem to figure out what may be causing this.

I've heard that you need to be 21 to buy a handgun but now that I've read into it a little more it look as if you only need to be 21 to CONCEAL your handgun. But anyone over 18 can purchase a handgun.

HID lights such as Xenon can get up to 12,0000 Kelvin in temperature... How could something that goes in your car get up to 12 million degrees and not melt the **** out of your headlight covers? The sun's surface is about 6000k (6 million degree).

Or am I missing something...?

I am an 18 year old male who is in pretty good shape. I skateboard a lot and go to the gym 3-4 times a week. Recently I have been losing my appetite during the day. I have never eaten breakfast in my life but I'm usually starving by noon or 1pm. Recently I've been forcing myself to eat around 2 or 3 and then not getting hungry for several hours if at all. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this -- if its just a phase or something more serious.

Also I've always been more of a snack during the day and then eat "meals" at night kind of person. But recently i haven't really even been hungry at night.
