Recently I saw an aircraft land on a small unprepared rugged landing strip on a mountain. I never thought aircraft were prepared to land on such terrains. What are some of the worlds most rugged aircraft which can land almost any rugged terrain?

I am referring to Birgenair Flight 301 here. I might be wrong but when the pilots found both their speed indicators malfunctioning they could have asked ATC to confirm their airspeed which could have possibly averted the disaster.

My friend suggests that he recovered 80gb data from a 30gb pen drive using a file recovery software. How is this ever possible? Is he simply boasting?

The McDonnell Douglas DC 10s had a critical design flaw in their cargo door locking mechanism which led to a near crash at

Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County(Windsor Incident). Further investigation by NTSB revealed the design flaw

and they recommended an immediate fix to the FAA regarding this matter grounding all DC 10s out there. Now

two years passed by and another DC 10 of Turkish Airways crashed killing all on board

making it the worst aviation accident at the time. Investigation revealed a shocking discovery.

It was a repeat of the Windsor incident. Now my question is Why did the FAA not issue an airworthiness directive to McDonnell Douglas

and made sure the problem was fixed? Why did McDonnell Douglas took the incident so lightly?

This was a totally avoidable incident and was the result of unjustifiable human negligence. Who should be

deemed responsible for this accident? How can an accident of this nature be avoided in the future?

Here I am talking about any outstanding feat of flying. In my personal opinion I think the crew of DHL aircraft in the Baghdad Shoot down Incident did a remarkable job. Losing all hydraulics they managed to land that crippled aircraft using engine thrust alone. What in your opinion is an outstanding piece of flying? Or have you(Pilots) been in some situation where your skills were tested to the limits?

I am 24 years and an aeronautical engineering graduate from india. Flying has been always my passion. I am planning to pursue piloting to avoid future regret. Sadly I am not financially very sound. Where should I go for pilot training? Does my degree in aeronautical help me to get a job as pilot in a major airline? Are their any scholarships or financial support provided for pilots?
